There are just as many issues in Sims 2 with getting them to sit for weddings without mods as there is for all the other games. Just with Sims 2 you can pause and move Sims around to get them where you want them to be. (They also don’t always stay in formal attire or show up in it.)
@@alison247mitzy2 No, there's no need for wedding mods in sims 2. I had over 300 wedding parties in Sims 2 (over 8 years of playing) and the guests always sat down for the ceremony and cheered. I never had any problems.

It doesn't. The weddings were already perfectly fine in Sims 4. The wedding pack is just for people who want more out of their weddings and like to micromanage.
I bought that pack and the wedding thing is atrocious. It takes forever and the Sims don't do as told. When it's all over, they don't even appear as married. It was the next day that the name finally changed and they accepted they were married. I also hate the scheduling calendar, and that goes for every single thing that they have to run through it. The sims 2 was more emotional especially with the cutscenes. Same with sims 3 the actions actually mattered. With sims 4 they’d be mad but then would be fine 10 mins later 😂

Fr one time I was playing the Sims four and I was having a wedding and if I actually did it right I would’ve had a great wedding but that day I didn’t realize my Sim was going into labor and also exhausted😂
Sims 4 typical gameplay is unless you work to force every single interaction and pretend it's fun and nothing happens spontaneously and act like they could care less, about anything. Always married with ceremony in TS2. TS3 was ok and even if you were at the park or beach and decided to get married on the spot, whoever was there would come over spontaneously to watch and clap so that was fun without making a big deal. With TS4 I just elope immediately and get it over with then send on honeymoon .
For this video I first tried a beach party for the Sims 3. It was a pure chaos. No one came to watch the ceremony. They all sunbathed and swam in the ocean. The ones that did watch the ceremony, they were in their bathing suits :( ❤
@@tintaverse I once had a sims 3 wedding at the beach 😭 it is pure chaos you're right. A guy from the household started streaking, some followed along, others either immediately started dancing to the one tiny stereo there was and the rest were in the ocean. Sims 2 was the smoothest, Sims 4 is the most involved... but tbh, I used to love weddings in the Sims 3, except the one over-clapper who would still be clapping after half the guests had already left. Sims 4 is so autonomous that the guests can't seem to follow commands if you have more than base game and my wedding stories. They won't sit, they talk in the isle while your party is trying to walk down the isle, they don't gather for anything... But you can get great screen shots and wedding pictures though due to the best graphics. (Shout out to extra family members as wedding photographers.) I'd love the graphics of Sims 4 with the smoothness of Sims 2 and the energy of Sims 3. Clap on, shawty, clap on.
@@kitkatboard That's what makes me think that they could include more fun functions like that with "double meaning" without losing their rating. Even in Sims 1 there were some descriptions and alusions that kids couldn't understand fully until years later so I still don't find a problem with those. To have a sim with regular body mass described as "fat" in later releases was more problematic and even dangerous to impressionable minds xD
@@MsL4ViThey've never needed to avoid losing their rating, since it's been rated for teens. I'm pretty sure the ERSB rating label has always mentioned the suggestive humour, it's not an issue (just like it's fine to have sims woohoo because it isn't explicit). It seems with sims 4 that they are trying more for an E rating rather than staying true to what they are actually rated at. I fully agree though about the weight labels being more of a concern. Gotta love when simple jokes that kids are all saying anyways are more scary than giving impressionable teens terrible ideas of body images. Sims 2 has the most beautiful weddings. The guests are more engaged and focused on the bride and groom, as should be for a wedding. Just like you suggested for Sims 3, you can also have karaoke for Sims 2 or even a DJ Booth (can have that for TS3 too). Prior to TS2:BV (or if you do not have the pack), the limo picking you up, represents a honeymoon (that happens offscreen). However, if you have TS2:BV, you can actually book your honeymoon at any of the 3 vacation destinations. Also, there is a mod that allows you to place the wedding arch on any community lot (you can even build wedding chapels). So, you can technically have wedding parties on community lots (although, they do not count as wedding parties), and you can use the group outing to have up to 8 guests, or use a mod to teleport guests, or both. If you own the community lot, you can even charge guests, while in attendance. I also do love the wedding process with TS3:G, asking a parent for hand in marriage, the bachelor/bachelorette parties. The actual weddings can be a bit chaotic, especially when at certain venues. In theory, TS4 should be on top, as it has its own dedicated pack, filled with extras. However, you have to micromanage every detail, and still it does not go as planned (from what I see). What is with the overdramatic crying from the groom and guests? And why was the bride the only one dancing on the dancefloor towards the end? I do not own the pack, and likely will never own it, but your wedding success was the best I have seen, and to me it is just meh. One last thing, please do not throw rice at weddings (irl), birds will eat the rice, the rice will expand inside them, and their stomachs will burst open, causing their deaths. 😢

If you create a club where eating is one of the club activities, they will eat every drop of what you make and then go in your fridge and eat all the leftovers. Ill call the club “The Big Backs” 😂

If Bon Voyage is installed the player could have the sims arrange a proper honeymoon trip if the wedding is successful. In the sims 3 additional automatic vacation days are given out to provide a honeymoon, but a honeymoon properly cannot be scheduled unless World Adventures is installed. Sims 4 does not provide additional vacation days for people who get married at a successful wedding party, but if an expansion pack containing rental lots is installed they can go on a honeymoon provided they have enough vacation days available.
Pretty sure the "rose petals" in The Sims 3 are rice. It's just huge cause they wouldn't be able to animate tiny pellets being thrown back in 2009, I guess.
TS4 weddings are such a pain! Half of my guests didn't show up, the ones that were there had no formal attire on, they wouldn't sit down, the cake spoiled in advance, the officiant, flower pal all didn't come, the bride and groom didn't walk down the aile, the wouldn't exchange vows, the guests already ate the cake, they didn't dance together, didn't throw rice, didn't toast I mean... base game weddings worked better for me 😩
Как-то в Симс 3 мой сим устроил шикарную свадьбу на берегу моря, но сначала один из гостей помер прямо перед всеми. А потом невеста сообщила, что ей пора на работу, переоделась посудомойкой и убежала на работу 🙄
Although I do enjoy how many options sims 4 has, I don’t like how half the time you assign guest to sit they don’t even sit, they are doing everything else.
6:30 In Sims 3 you can also has bachelor/bachelorette party before the wedding. You can see the option in the video at 6:46. It can be at home or community lot, you wear special clothing and dancers might apper randomly (so far I've seen cop/firefighters dancers). You can dance with them, watch them dance or just leave them alone.
Don't lie but in my case, I married the Markovic household in a occassion in Sims 4 and the wedding took me five hours (in real life, not in the game) for being perfect!! I installed several mods for reduced the bugs and lags, until they could get married and end the party perfectly 😩
For me Sims 2 - Wins this round because eveything is so realistic in the game and it has more options, and it has no to little bugs. Sims 3 - Wins 2nd because of how cute weddings are, i don't have to micromanage and it doesn't break as well, the weddings are even more realistic with Generations, but i put this in Second because The Sims 2 Weddings did it better. The Sims 4 - Loses because of how ridiculous wedding are, especially with My Wedding Disaster, i love Micromanaging but i hate every aspect of the pack, the weddings doesnt seem to work at launch, it is fixed a little but its still broken and still no excuse for a broken pack, even it has more options, it should be on the top, but it is pretty shallow and buggy, i would rather put it last. So. Sims 2>Sims 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Sims 4 *cough* My Wedding Stories*cough*
Champagne is the most cursed item in Sims 2, not only it distracts sims too much but it also make them all pee, and peeing oneself is specially bad at parties
The Sims 2 is such a nostalgia for me. I started playing this game when I was in the fifth grade. This was my very first sims game. Then I continued with The Sims 3 and now I have been playing the Sims 4. Thanks to the EA Games for the amazing memories.
Sims 4 wedding pack is one of their best Expansions, most are dry imo. Sims 2 didn’t need expansions to be full of details. Great timeless game. The sims 3 is my fave but definitely not my fave wedding gameplay. 💚
The difference is that with Sims 2 we got the full wedding package in the base game, unlike sims 4. Plus every sims was concentrated on what was happening instead of doing irrelevant stuff, unlike sims 3 and 4
I'll say it: my last wedding in TS4 was ALMOST flawless. The only bug I had was with the flowers ;_; it took hours for my sim to gather people to catch it, and it never went on, so I canceled the action. But beside this little thing, everything else went great ♥
I've been binge-watching these videos over the last 2 days and this really makes me want to start playing TS3 in earnest again. I still "play" it daily, but I usually just turn it on as soon as I get home from work, let it play in the background while I eat dinner, shower, and get ready for bed, and only pop in to see what new has happened or click through pop-ups. I never actually tried to make Sims that live normal lives since I grew up with the story mode on the Sims console ports, I always saw the lifetime wish as a goal/challenge to work towards lol. I actually want to try to do things I haven't done in the game before, like working towards having an excellent wedding/birthday, building up a large friend group, getting memories (I always turned them off), etc.
My God, TS2 had so much heart. I caught myself laughing and getting misty-eyed at how cute some of those scenes were. They're just so happy together. ♥

Loved the concept in Sims4 but I wish the behaviors of the guests in Sims2 were applied in Sims4. Seriously the bride at the end dancing alone. Lmao.
I had a wedding in sims 2 and invited both sides parents and siblings for them to remember it as a "family reunion"😂
I miss to play the sims 3 again. Such a good memories 🥹
TS4 weddings are such a pain! Half of my guests didn't show up, the ones that were there had no formal attire on, they wouldn't sit down, the cake spoiled in advance, the officiant, flower pal all didn't come, the bride and groom didn't walk down the aile, the wouldn't exchange vows, the guests already ate the cake, they didn't dance together, didn't throw rice, didn't toast I mean... base game weddings worked better for me 😩
Them booing Susan was way too funny to me and pretty realistic
Ts4 is truly the epitome of great ideas, fantastic even, but god awful execution
I desperately want Sims 2 now, just because theres so much care with everything
I don’t care if you can do more in the Sims 4, the sims do not listen. Sims 2 is still better.
Although I do enjoy how many options sims 4 has, I don’t like how half the time you assign guest to sit they don’t even sit, they are doing everything else.
6:30
In Sims 3 you can also has bachelor/bachelorette party before the wedding. You can see the option in the video at 6:46. It can be at home or community lot, you wear special clothing and dancers might apper randomly (so far I've seen cop/firefighters dancers). You can dance with them, watch them dance or just leave them alone.
Oh i remember the bachelor parties!! Loved those!! Even dancers would arrive!
Don't lie but in my case, I married the Markovic household in a occassion in Sims 4 and the wedding took me five hours (in real life, not in the game) for being perfect!! I installed several mods for reduced the bugs and lags, until they could get married and end the party perfectly 😩
im in love with Sims 2. The wedding video event is really cute🥺
3:21 This is the most funniest thing I’ve ever seen in the Sims 2
For me
Sims 2 - Wins this round because eveything is so realistic in the game and it has more options, and it has no to little bugs.
So.
Sims 2>Sims 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Sims 4
*cough* My Wedding Stories*cough*
The sims 2 cut scenes were amazing!!!!!
I never even put chairs for wedding guests to see the arch ceremony in Sims 2, the idea never even crossed my mind lol
I will only buy the Sims 2 for that damaged wedding cutscene not kidding. It's sad but hilarious! I can't!😝
Champagne is the most cursed item in Sims 2, not only it distracts sims too much but it also make them all pee, and peeing oneself is specially bad at parties
Thankfully there is a mod to disallow autonomous toasting
i can never get my guests to sit down at a wedding in sims 4 :((( it's always so bugged
4:42 I'd be rather concerned for her well being if she was a real human. 👀
21:00 oh sweetie 💀
The whole TS4 section should be just an error screen.
I love how in the sims 2 after the wedding they had wedding rings stay 😭
I’ve always wondered why it’s on the wrong finger tho 😂
10:30 that side eye 😂
5:15 the pictures awwhhh❤❤❤
Sims 2 is the most balanced. Sims 4 is way too much.
Plus every sims was concentrated on what was happening instead of doing irrelevant stuff, unlike sims 3 and 4
Sims 4 has the most detail with the new pack, but it still some how feels lifeless and robotic and empty compared to the sims 2
I like in TS3 random townies in the community lot would join and clap in your wedding party
i dont remember, but I think in the sims 2 has a way to schedule a honeymoon after wedding
i hate the graphics in the sims 3 and 2 but adore the clear grapics in the sims 4
I pick 2 since I love the cutscenes!
At 9:48 did the girl on the right blow bubbles out of her nose 😂
My God, TS2 had so much heart. I caught myself laughing and getting misty-eyed at how cute some of those scenes were. They're just so happy together. ♥
My only tip for TS4 weddings is to HIDE THE REAL CAKE and have a fake cake for people to prematurely nibble on instead. Seriously, none of those greedy little simmies can keep their hands off the cake! 😂
I wish this would have included Sims 4 base game in the comparison.
I miss the Sims 2. This game was a masterpiece 😢
1:35 actually cutscenes aren't required for this to happen
The child gagging when he sees the kiss 😂
