New subscriber here. Just watched both of the videos with Bill back to back. What a knowledgeable and engaging guy. Felt so bad seeing him tell of the break in. Those who steal animals are just utter scumbags.
Those who steal animals or knowingly buy stolen animals are the kind that abandon or mistreat them as evidenced by the shape Willard was in when he got him back. They are the lowest form of human. I truly hope the rest of the animals aren’t suffering. Poor babies.
Who ever did this reserves an especially horrid little corner of hell to exist in. It's disgusting to steal someone's belongings but it's just on such a different level when they are animals, years of bonding with these animals and countless hours and close attention to the care and well being of his animals.. what especially knocked me off balance was from the original video when he mentioned his tegu that is full grown was stolen along with everything else.. you grow attached to ALL of your animals.. but an adult tegu is very smart and on a complete different level than say a leopard geko.. not that one is worse, but i could only imagine how losing your almost dog like pet tegu.. just dumbfounded by this, i hope the bastards pay for this.
Bill- I was so sorry to hear about how your home was broken into & that some of your animals were stolen. Whomever violated you like that is a piece of shit. I am happy you were able to get your bearded dragon back & that you found those two eggs and were able to hatch them. I sincerely hope that all of your beloved reptiles are safely returned home to you where they belong. Shout out to you for all the awesome work you do for the reptile community!

I TOTALLY can understand your loss. One of my cats (not a reptile but we all love our animals, no matter what species) got stolen ten years ago... It hurts most that you'll never know what really has happened to them. I managed to found out at least that 6 special breeded cats were stolen in our location in one week, so we at least HOPED that he was sold with fake papers (at this time, they sell some cat breeds for 2000$+, especially the colour he was) to a good home again. But the most ironic thing, he even wasn't the expensive breed, he was just LOOKING like one (and I didn't get him because of his look, his "breeder" was a dear friend and I had known the mother cat for long and always wanted to have a baby from her. When she gave birth to her last babies, my friend gave little Spooky to me). So believe me, I understand your loss SO well. But I am happy you got at least your Beardie back and cross my fingers that they will find the others too...
This was a great video but the fact that you said the kid who had it wasn’t cooperating with the police just infuriates me! I don’t keep reptiles myself but love to watch video of all the care you guys give to these reptiles and the fact that someone broke into your home is just wrong! When I see large reptile collections, I say the guy has got to have a few inverts hanging around. Not always. As an invert keeper, I would like to have some reptiles hanging around for variety. Looking to get my first snake next year. I’m thinking a bull snake would be a nice start. I’ve always liked them.

A little late to the party, but a similar story happened at a local reptile store. They had a very popular bearded dragon stolen over three years ago. He was never found even though they had cameras and everything. Me and my dad love going there but it's always hard to see the empty spot where the beardy used to be
This was a while ago, but that's just horrible what happened. It's great that you got your dragon back, but I hope by now you have more, or at the very least the person who took them is being properly dealt with.
Do you know anything about adenovirus? I got a bearded dragon a year ago and kept it alive for 6 months after I found out it had the virus. After a thousand dollars in vet bills. I can't find any recent Info on the 8nternet. I want to get another reptile but want to make sure the virus is gone.
I hate that this happened. No excuses. It did make me realize it’s good to take pictures of any animal you own so that you can identify it if they found it. I hope they were made to realize you just can’t take someone’s pets. I don’t know how close Bill is to his reptiles, but I consider any animal you own as part of your family.
The dark stripes by the eye isn't a dead giveaway! Both of my dragons have that. I have a citrus Hypo Leatherback tiger (KaFear) and a Red Hypo genetic stripe (ERay)0
That's creepy that his house got broken into and somebody stole some of his animals. Not many thiefs would be interested in stealing reptiles so that indicates it was somebody he knew and trusted. That is nice that so many people cared when this was reported and that the police are putting real effort into this. Maybe that's a sign that more departments are gradually starting to value animals more. Glad the Bearded Dragon was found. I hope the others will be too.
