so is brush-In porcelain paving grout such as RapidFlow projoint good or not? We've used it on our porcelain patio and on the bucket it does say for porcelain but now I am confused
I had a porcelain patio a month ago. It’s starting to get algae and moss off the roof etc, because of the time of year. Would you look to seal it now or wait till spring summer next year? I think the most we’re getting is 2 days straight without rain at the min
I can understand where she's coming from. I laid my own porcelain patio last August, it generally looks a mess most of the time with dogs running on it etc. Still having a hosepipe ban in Cornwall doesn't help mind....not sure sealing it would help.
@@GreentopLandscapes Yep, still got a ban down here. Not much chance we'll be able to use hosepipes at our own homes till the end of the year at the earliest, maybe not until next year...
I know exactly how that lady fills regarding a Brush in grout on Porcelain it's murder it totally ruining's the job... before the job was started I stated no brush in grout, I want it done with a slurry grout-like Flowpoint/EasyGrout .... my father died the day they were grouting and I came back and found they had used Sika Brush in, basically sand... 3 years on the tiles are easy to keep clean but that grout is a mess... any ideas Johnny.
Had my down for 18 months during winter I clean it every 2 weeks with fairy liquid and patio cleaner on a karcher due to the dogs running , plaint and skidding on it …I wet it down then fairy liquid wash it leave it for 10 mins go over it again with karcher / patio cleaner then blast it all off and leave to dry takes a hour .. 😊 but as summer approaches and the lawns are getting dryer it will be once a month …. Ive use sealer before but with the winter cleaning every 2 weeks there’s none left after 2 cleans !! So pointless…top tip WD40 for rust spots off kids bikes when they leave them out 😉
Hi Johnny I always offer artificial grass if I lay porcelain if the area is to big or they want natural grass then I usually suggest India stone My reason is just for this especially if they want a light colour
I wouldn't seal porcelain or any other paving product farr too many variables and I'm not convinced of any benefits. Personally I'm not a great fan of porcelain, I tend to lay real stone products out of preference and always sand and cement pointed with sbr in the pointing mix as I lay. I've been back to jobs I did 20 years ago and no loose stones or any significant pointing failure.
I’ve just laid 200+ sqmt and I personally am not sealing the porcelain tile. For an impervious material how will it last let nature take its course and let it age naturally.
Thanks for these videos, we laid a porcelain patio recently, all based on your videos!!

Is there an hose pipe ban? I think sealing is short term.

Slightly off topic what is people’s take on sealing limestone paving?
Tough one
I wouldn’t have porcelain paving.
I’ve been laying patios for over 30 years.
@@jmsjeff fair play
