I just want to say THANK YOU for all your videos. This evening I have one slab left on a patio I'm doing. My garden was left with two patios laid in slate without a slurry. The slabs didn't adhere and I got my money back after the builder trying three times to lay me the two patios. I got my slab money back not realising how difficult it would be to find a cheap landscaper or builder locally. So I dug up the massive patio which contains steel, slabs, sand cement using a titan breaker. I'll grass and level that in the spring and using all your and another person's videos have laid a porcelain patio outside my conservatory. I have honestly had sleepless nights over this as I am also in the middle of divorce a I couldn't devalue the property. Here are before and after photos. THANKYOU, Zoe Colchester. I can't

Why did you use stone chipping (splash strip) between the porcelain slabs and the house? Looking in to this and it recommends to only do this splash strip with a land drain underneath the chipping for water to drain away from the house. Asking for help as I’m not sure whether to do this splash strip or simply take the porcelain slabs right up against the house. Thanks
There are a couple of reasons, One that the rain water that comes down the face of the house can be a fair amount if you take in consideration the M2 and that then has to run across your patio along with all the sediment you have some times in rain water, then if you were to grout up to the house the patio can move causing fragmenting cracking basically and will look unsightly. Also since the introduction of SUDS they want the water to go back into the ground and not overload the drainage system

I came here to see what the finish SHOULD look like. Yours looks awesome! My man did a nice job laying the porcelain. Then used dark grey easy grout which he bladed in, but then cleaned off with a jet washer not a sponge (I suspect before it had cured enough). The grout levels are uneven/missing in areas, patchy and light grey at best, not solid dark grey as I was expecting. Don't know whether to try to go over each joint with more product or rake it out and start again. Very disappointing considering it was on target to be a very nice job
Same problem mate the stuff is garbage that’s all I have heard is the dark grey going light grey.Only looks good when it’s wet (goes back to dark grey)
Just tried doing my tiles with easy grout, total disaster, it dried too quickly or I wasn't quick enough, I had to power wash the tiles to remove the grout, I think I'll try it with a different tool rather than the squeegee
Its a pity, some planting even a couple of key architectural pieces would look stunning. A couple of Nandina domestica (sacred bamboo) would work well and not require any intervention. Nandina doesn't run like bamboo and is slow growing but a fantastic red and green variegated leaf. A cutleaf maple or two could work potentially as well.
Please use hearing protection when using your blower! I spent 18 months as a motorcycle courier - probably a less noisy environment than being beside your blower - and as a result, I'm now deaf in one ear. These days I wear hearing protection when using any power tool - even my Kartcher power washer.
Not entirely happy with this product. Had a lot of discolouration with it. And I watched this video first before I did it. Apart from that. It’s was easy to use. Are the any grout pens I can use to get a even colour ?
I am an above average DIY handyman and I can honestly say that this is just about the worst building product I have come across. My builder has very-competently laid a porcelain patio for us but he was pulling his hair out with Easygrout and I foolishly offered to finish the job. The grout becomes sticky and sluggish very quickly but worst of all, it is a nightmare to clean off afterwards. Give me a traditional ‘force into the joint’ grout any day.
Horrendous stuff, bought it to grout my patio and it ruined it. Spoke to the MD who apologised and said it depended on the porosity of the porcelain slabs. I had a beautiful white porcelain tile a number of which are now stained horribly. Proceed with caution this is not as simple or as clean as it seems. Since found a much better black brush in resin which was a dream to use, no mess and no staining - you have been warned!
@@GreentopLandscapes I was gutted to be honest, spoke to Jeff Carter - very helpful and informative but I think this product is probably more suited to you guys, the professionals. Thats a shame Graham mate, these products sometimes can be very difficult to use and it can take years to master them if you need a chat just call me.
Same problem mate the stuff is garbage that’s all I have heard is the dark grey going light grey.Only looks good when it’s wet (goes back to dark grey)
Very nice job as always , how long did you wait on this overcast day until your first wash off 🧽??
not long Steve mate about an hour
Hi John, is it any good using flow piont by using a mastic gun?
I like this one mate to be honest
What about that stuff you're using, would that be ideal to use using a mastic gun?
Just tried doing my tiles with easy grout, total disaster, it dried too quickly or I wasn't quick enough, I had to power wash the tiles to remove the grout, I think I'll try it with a different tool rather than the squeegee
Sorry to hear that mate, always welcome to take a call
Lovely job there as usual, clients clearly not a fan of anything that grows by the look of it!
Jack plants are coming mate dont worry mate I am on it
Plants are so important
@@GreentopLandscapes good stuff, needs some planting to set off the great hard landscaping
@@jackw9920 thank you
Please use hearing protection when using your blower!
I spent 18 months as a motorcycle courier - probably a less noisy environment than being beside your blower - and as a result, I'm now deaf in one ear.
These days I wear hearing protection when using any power tool - even my Kartcher power washer.
Will do Clive thank you
Not entirely happy with this product. Had a lot of discolouration with it. And I watched this video first before I did it. Apart from that. It’s was easy to use. Are the any grout pens I can use to get a even colour ?
The discolouration can be through damp joints, the best thing to do now is to seal it then the grout will be the same colour
@@GreentopLandscapes ok super. Many thx 🙏. What is a good sealer ?
Elements sheild
@@GreentopLandscapes thank you 🙏
What the hell kind of porridge was that!!
lol
Broilers, bascitball ball
It could have gotten a little bit more cleaning. Stains all over. Tiles ruined.
I disagree
I am an above average DIY handyman and I can honestly say that this is just about the worst building product I have come across. My builder has very-competently laid a porcelain patio for us but he was pulling his hair out with Easygrout and I foolishly offered to finish the job. The grout becomes sticky and sluggish very quickly but worst of all, it is a nightmare to clean off afterwards. Give me a traditional ‘force into the joint’ grout any day.
Lol 😂 I have used it many times and it’s good and easy to clean off, but you should take your feedback to AZPECTS and give them some feedback
@@GreentopLandscapes thank you and my comments were no reflection on your video(s) which are excellent and really helpful.
All good buddy all 👍
Horrendous stuff, bought it to grout my patio and it ruined it.
What a nightmare Simon, who did you speak with that would be interesting?
@@GreentopLandscapes I was gutted to be honest, spoke to Jeff Carter - very helpful and informative but I think this product is probably more suited to you guys, the professionals. Trying to do it on my own it was going off quick, I was racing to spread it then clean it off on my own. The result you got looks incredible though 👌
Back ground music so annoying
I agree
Bit to runny fella
it was the correct quantity, turned out well
Lose the music, it's not 2011
