A petrol blower WTF? You can’t go around making loud noises on a built up estate at 6.30 am. How no-one came out and threw that paint right over him I’ll never know or worse. FKing have some respect for other people. Min 8am in that built up area. These are the legal working hours in the UK unless emergency services like Gas and Electric.
    Monday - Friday: 8am - 6pm.
    Saturday: 8am - 1pm.
Sunday and bank holidays: no work. By UK Law. I’m a Builder 34 years. Sorry lads but that is well bad. 6.30 am No!

Should have painted the lot 3 times with gray not worrying about going over the bits that you were eventually going to paint black. As the black is darker than the gray it doesnt matter and then go round with the brush when all the gray is dried and paint the black on. Cracking job tho it looks brilliant

Looks great! I used smart seal on my driveway, great product. One thing I would have advised is to have applied a clear coat (x2), smart seal do this in gloss or matte, though you can get a much cheaper one from screw fix. The clear coat essentially seals the drive in the condition it is in now, and helps to prevent sun damage and weeds penetrating into the joint compound. This makes maintaining the drive much easier and you can brush, wash or blow any debris off before it has chance to establish 👍

How come ya didn’t roll everything grey then do the black border last ?

I was worried about the black re-emulsifying the grey and affecting the colour but it may not have been an issue

@@SMOUT_ I thought that but when you did a second coat I imagined it would be safe to just change colour . Looks good stuff tho is there a final seal or is it all in the mix ?

You’ve discovered ‘paint’ though I can tell you it’s been around for years and that it’ll wear off in a few years!

Building work in public areas and on construction sites in the UK must be in accordance with the 1974 Pollution Control Act, which aims to protect the public against noise pollution as well as air pollution. This act limits noisy work to between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.

Each to their own, but personally I think they taken a lovely block paved driveway & ruined it.
This is like the DIY days of the 1980s & just looks like someone painted their driveway (which is what they have) will be interesting to see what it looks like in a years time 🤔

Why did you not cover it all with the first coat with the same colour, you would have done it a lot quicker?
The black done with the same with the second coat cut the time in half or certainly a lot quicker?
The best undercoat is the same as the finish I assume it is the same product in both colours and the kind of paint you are using black will cover the grey?
I am a decorator and know how to speed the system up by not rushing in haste, it is like a blank canvas, and at the end picking out the details?
The product is of high quality and will cover well, and depending on the drying times, can still be done, and the time saving its is no problem to pop back and put another coat on the black, how long would it take to do that?
It would be easy to put the black on, and the first coat would cut in and roll?
On depending how long it takes to dry could be done with the next coat as well, and still put on a coat of black, and to pop back and put a coat on the black again would not take that long?

Strange why you didn't just paint it all grey, then do the border black, instead of gingerly going round the black border

You should of put clear lacquer on it to seal the sand use garden pump sprayer on fine mist then clean it out with thinners for next job don't forget to take pictures to show other customers

So you've turned a permeable drive into a no permeable drive. And seeing as there is no acco at the foot of the drive this is a bit naughty.

lhis looks amazing. My drive is block paved it has white patches in places that I belive is caused by too much standing water. Would this product cover the white patches ?? Yes i agree with some of the comments would have done the whole lot grey then done the black after. has the same effect as cuprinol (does what is says on the tin) it can be used on brick/ terracotta / stone I used it on my fence posts in a natuarl stone and came up like new. what area do you work in guys.
