I love the simplicity of the cutting/measuring, putting together and simple sewing of this pattern. I get overwhelmed with videos I watch with so many cuts, angles, measurements and trying to sew them all perfectly. My mom quilted when I was a child (a long time ago) lol. I do miss seeing hand quilting in the various ways my mom did it. It looked homey. Your quilting pattern is beautiful, as are all that I see, but once a quilt top is machine quilted all I see is a store bought look. I can appreciate the ease of doing by machine and the time saved. I'm a beginner and done only 2 very simple baby quilts and quilted them by hand. I love the look and its a nod to my Mom's memory. I might change my mind when I graduate to bigger sizes.😊
I’ve just started my quilting journey. I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your videos! Just found you in the last couple of days. I like that you don’t mess around with silliness. Show us what to cut, how to sew it, BOOM, here’s the finished quilt! I really like that you show the backing and thread choice!
Thank you for the pattern on this quilt, I did down load it. I have sooooo many fat quarters and this pattern fits the bill. I also have a nice collection of of Kaffe Fasset fabrics and might consider using them. ❤
I’ve made 2 of these. One for granddaughter, her bed is a double and one for me, mine is a queen size. One of my favorite patterns. Thanks for sharing it.
I don't buy fat quarter bundles. But, by the size of the cuts, I realized that since there are 2 prints of each fabric in a layer cake pack, I could easily use a layer cakes for this. Thanks again for all that you do!!! ❤
I just love your videos and your patterns are so easy to make. I love this pattern and I have a couple of fat quarters that I can use this pattern with. Great job!!
Just am stitching the blocks together for a quick Christmas lap quilt for my niece who loves the Pioneering Woman fabrics. Don't have time for a longarm quilter so will quilt it myself. Or maybe quilt as I go....
Oh the quilting is just gorgeous -- !!!! Love it! Thanks for all your reviews of the Glide thread you've shared! It has really helped me pick some wonderful colors that I'm getting so much use out of -- and I'm really loving how to runs through my machine and looks and feels on the finished quilt! Very happy I made the switch!! Thanks for your great info on it in your other videos. :-)
Thank you. I have a tip for quicker assembly. Instead of cutting the individual rectangles, leave the 9" strips whole. Then pair two different ones together and sew a single seam on one long edge. Then sub-cut that strip unit into four 5" units. Boom! No fussing with individual small rectangles. Then lay out those sub-cut 2-block units in alternate directions and sew together along the long edges. Done.
For piecing? No, but you can! It's always a plus to have a walking foot for piecing. A walking foot is perfect for everything really. Now if you meant for quilting, no since I have a longarm machine. 💜
@@MoonkinStitchery ah okay! Everything I’ve seen online days to use a walking foot for piecing everything together. First quilt I’m doing so guess I’m trying to get most of everything right from the beginning ha!
That's up to you. Within the video I used different prints within a fat quarter bundle. I've also done one with different blue tones, so the choice is yours. 🤗
I'd love to quilt your quilt! ❤ Link: www.moonkinstitchery.com/longarmquiltingservices

I find this pattern easy enough to share with some of my grand babies who are wanting to learn how to sew. Thank you bunches.

Just cut your layer cakes in half one way, (5" x 10") so you don't waste any fabric and you'll yield a slightly longer quilt too! Lol
Quick, easy, and Beautiful! I have fat quarters multiplying as we speak, this is a for sure..Thank you so much
Glad I could help! 😁
I like your quick and clear tutorials. Thank you for your generosity! Take care and blessings to y'all.

I don’t have a sewing machine and was hoping for an easy hand wuilted pattern.
@@christineschmidt1025 You could also hand stitch a rag quilt. Fun and comfy, wouldn't need a machine

Simple but very cute. Lets the fabric shine. And perfect for using a Karlee Porter edge to edge quilting design! 😍
Wonderful! What sewing machine do you use? I am new to sewing and am looking to upgrade to maybe a Juki?
Can you turn the squares making horizontal and vertical? Would it look rught?
Super charming
I will post pic when im done. New to quilting. Going to make holiday one using various blue fabrics 🤷♀️ i guess ill find out.
Love this, thank you!
I love these so much! Do you sell the quilts you showcase in your videos?
I will have some available in a few months. ☺️
I need to see how you added the binding and the the quilting of it if you don’t know how
Love it. 🙂
Fantastic! I love it. May I ask the height of the pantograph is? I would love to use it❤Thank you
Love it! Going to recreate this as a baby shower gift. Did you use a walking foot to stitch it all together?

I'm new to quilting....did you put batting between the top and back? It's a very beautiful quilt!
Yes I did. 🤗
@@MoonkinStitchery what type of batting do you use? I’ve never made a quilt before & im gonna start a project sometimes this week❤
Ist das ohne Vlieseinlage zusammen genäht?
Ist toll geworden.
I use a cotton/poly blend batting. 💜
Did you pick a layer of batting in between the layers?
Yes I always add batting. ☺️
Do we use several different fat quarters that coordinate, or just pick 2 or 4 and use several?
That's up to you. Within the video I used different prints within a fat quarter bundle. I've also done one with different blue tones, so the choice is yours. 🤗
New here, did you put anything in the middle (batting etc)
What is the fabric colorway please or is there one? Precuts or fabric? Thanks
How many fat quarters did you use?
❤
How do you get the graffiti pattern on the quilt?
Longarm quilting. 😊
