Total newbie. When using prints can you explain how many of the same print you would need. I know you need 12 pieces but how many repeating of each one?
I don’t do a traditional block of the month but I’ll be continuing both my scrappy block series (12” blocks well suited for scraps) as well as my block study series (blocks in different precut friendly sizes)
I love the layout for this quilt. Thank you! Just a suggestion, if you drew a line from corner to corner instead of cutting it, put two contrasting rectangles pieces right sides together, then stitched on both sides of the drawn line, a 1/4 inch away from the line, THEN cut it apart on the line, you would instantly get two 2 blocks and save some time. You also not have to worry about sewing those bias pieces back together. Just a thought! Thanks again for your video!
I’ve Never quilted, never seen your channel, but watched the entire thing! Drank my coffee and enjoyed myself! Nice job. I’ve always been interested but took up crocheting. Believe I’ll give quilting a go! Your quilt top is very pretty! Thank you
You can add your own “grippy dots” on your ruler by putting small dots of hot glue then letting them dry completely before using. I do this all the time with shoes that get too slick.
I love quilting haven’t in 15 years busy with work! 😢 But I bought a lot of Gnome Christmas fabric and want to make a few lap quilts for my nephews as gifts. This was a quick and easy way of me doing 10 quilts in the next couple of months that won’t take a long time! Thank you 🙏
This sounds like a good way to quickly make my cat his own little quilt out of medium-sized leftovers from other projects. (He is always on a lap if a quilt is on it so he gets one at some point because he's a good boy who loves quilt snuggles.)

Thank you so much!! I really do work hard on them so I’m glad it shows :). I just loaded this quilt on the longarm this morning! I still haven’t decided on a design but it’s such busy fabric I think I can pick something really fun :)
@@TinyOrchardQuilts hi I'm new to quilting and I am sewing a quilt now I'm all done with the blocks and I started sewing them together now I'm not sure do you put sashing on all quilts and if so can I still put sashing on when block are sewn together please help
I just found my Christmas present to myself! I have been looking for an easy fat quarter pattern for my first quilt, and I love yours. I am new to quilting, but not to sewing, and am finally deciding to put my machine’s quilting accessories to the test. I also followed your link to the fat quarters you used. I actually gasped when I saw Anna Maria’s “Bright Eyes” bundle. Since fabric has never made me do that before, I decided it was a match made in heaven and ordered it. I am so excited, thank you for making my night!
Love this idea! I'm always looking for ways to use those colorful but orphan FQs we all seem to end up with. I've been cutting them into strips for "faux" jellyroll quilts and this idea gives me a nice alternative! Thank you! The quilt looks fantastic!
Definitely great for any large size rectangles. I could make this work with some Kaffe scraps and some coordinating scraps. This also works for hospice quilts I make with a friend. Everyone deserves some color and pattern to brighten their day. Thank you!
I wanted to cut the two sewn triangles in half and then see them together even more mixed up... 😁. I'm looking for something easy to begin my first quilt. This is pretty simple! Thanks! Good video.
I don't quilt, but I'm enjoying seeing you using those tools, the cutting board, and those BEAUTIFUL fabrics. I didn't know about gridded cutting boards, rotary cutters, and those big measuring things. I've used triangles, and T-squares, but not what you have there.
I absolutely love this and will help a friend make her very first quilt. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your time (even if it was just an hour, lol.)
Dear Megan, I wanted to let you know that I watched your fat quarter quilt tutorial and decided to give it a try. After many many errors and way longer than an hour I finally finished the top and thought I would share it with you.

Mostly because I put a backing on it…BUT….I put the backing on wrong.🙄🙄🙄 so I had to pick that all out, and start that process of putting the backing on all over again…but…my sister did love it! Dear Dee: Sewing on the bias like the triangles are, you just have to be careful not to stretch your fabric. You can stitch about 2" and carefully PUSH not pull on thetopfabric to help ease it into the one underneath. Just lift your presser foot push to ease gently and sew a few more inches. It's called "Park and Pinch"
