If they kept it Michael related, it would have worked. I don't even mean having Michael in it, but basically doing what F13 Part 5 did where we had Tommy Jarvis, a returning character, back and he had to go through a new killer who was using Jason's style to accomplish his murderous goal. The continuity was still there and this should have been the same. The story could have still been mostly the same with having a now adult Laurie living in California attending college and she investigates the case of her murdered dad who was doing some real estate out here or the whole Strode family just moved out here following the events of H2. She meets with Challis and they come across Silver Shamrock and realize Cochran created the mask that caused Michael to snap and kill Judith so it ties back to what he did and we also disclose where Laurie was that night. Given the sibling twist Carpenter threw in H2, H3 should have explored this more and tied back to Michael's origins while still displaying a new villain with his own agenda now. It would have worked better in my opinion.
I think Halloween 3 season of the witch is actually pretty underrated and actually rather good. Yeah it’s not the best of the Halloween series, but it definitely isn’t the worst especially when compared to what would come later
well sadly because this concept did not work for the time Carpenter wanted to move on to other film projects. Carpenter said he did not want Halloween to be a franchise.
I will admit, Cochran is a chill villain.
Yeah he's the one good part in this movie.

@henrymockingbird9645 true I respect the movie for being its own thing and no Michael myers
@@johnnygunzfilmbuff7821 give John Carpenter some credit at least he had the balls to make this movie without Michael Myers
@@henrymockingbird9645 true.
John shouldn't have quit on the anthology thing.

@@johnnygunzfilmbuff7821 oh i see.
@@FrazFlub-n1p yeah carpenter is not a sequel or franchise guy. Thats why he left the Halloween Michael Myers rights to Moustapha Akkad.
John Carpenter blames us fans for everything! He blames everyone BUT himself for HIS mistakes.
some people are like that can't take criticism. Been in that boat but have learn to adapt criticism.
@@johnnygunzfilmbuff7821 i know.
@@FrazFlub-n1p yup.
