As a former Cold Stone employee, I've gotta set this conversation straight. Cold Stone is a creamery, meaning they make their own ice cream in store. It isn't shipped in from a factory or sitting in a freezer for weeks on end. We used real yellow cake mix in the cake batter, real coffee in the coffee ice cream, and real bananas in the banana flavored ice cream! DQ is soft serve, which I still like from time to time. But if you want real quality ice cream, it doesn't get better than Cold Stone.
