Less than two minutes in and Shady is re-writing history about the Chiefs beating the Texans in that 2019 playoff game. I'm not saying Mahomes didn't play well - he did. He just didn't really have anything to do with why they were down and he played how he should've, but to chalk up the change in momentum to Mahomes is straight up incorrect. If you remember, the Chiefs receivers were dropping balls/not converting, then everything shifted after a great Hardeman return which led to a touchdown and then Texans shot themselves in the foot with Bill O'Brien deciding to go for it on 4th down on their own 31 yard line and failing and then that leads to a Chiefs touchdown. Then the Texans returner fumbled and that was picked up and returned for a touchdown. Making the score 24-21 and then they (Chiefs) scored again before halftime to take the lead for the rest of the game. None of those things really had anything to do with Mahomes just deciding "enough was enough". The rest of the team just decided to start doing their jobs.
This ain't the 2019/2020 Texans who the Chiefs ended up thumping. But these aren't the 2019/2020 Chiefs who were trying to figure things out, either. Besides, we all like us some petty Pat. Less than two minutes in and Shady is re-writing history about the Chiefs beating the Texans in that 2019 playoff game. I'm not saying Mahomes didn't play well - he did. He just didn't really have anything to do with why they were down and he played how he should've, but to chalk up the change in momentum to Mahomes is straight up incorrect.
If you remember, the Chiefs receivers were dropping balls/not converting, then everything shifted after a great Hardeman return which led to a touchdown and then Texans shot themselves in the foot with Bill O'Brien deciding to go for it on 4th down on their own 31 yard line and failing and then that leads to a Chiefs touchdown. Then the Texans returner fumbled and that was picked up and returned for a touchdown. Making the score 24-21 and then they (Chiefs) scored again before halftime to take the lead for the rest of the game.
None of those things really had anything to do with Mahomes just deciding "enough was enough". The rest of the team just decided to start doing their jobs.
