People really thought that Michael was just gonna retire after Ends? He always comes back
It’s not that I thought he was gonna retire, it’s that the only position anyone can do moving forward is to either do a reboot or do prequel movies. At this point he’s in his 70s and the suspension of disbelief that a senior citizen that isn’t supernatural still slashing away is harder to manage. They kinda backed themselves in a corner continuing the timeline and grounding him as just a man.
From what it sounds like though, they’re going the route of going back to the original and I could be wrong, but you might be only able to get away with doing that only so much before that in and of itself becomes stale.

One idea I would love is a manhunt series. Get the guy who played Loomis in the Blumhouse movies and have him be the main character. Follow Loomis' obsession with Michael's evil after the 78 events as The Shape pops up in Haddonfield, terrorizing people at night. That's been my idea since I first heard of a Halloween TV show.
Or a manhunt/hitman like game where you play as Micheal Myers in an sandbox filled with npcs

Well, it's confirmed Freddy, Jason and the Evil Dead movies are linked. Jason is confirmed to be a Deadite. Jason's mom used the Necronomicon to put a curse on Jason. It's explained in the sequel comic to Freddy Vs Jason called Freddy Vs Jason vs Ash and on other connected comics. Freddy Vs Jason was supposed to have Pinhead show up at the end confronting both Jason and Freddy in the pits of hell. Oh, the Dagger and Necronomicon from Evil Dead show up in Jason goes to Hell. They are seen on the desk in the Vorhees house as Jason's niece uses the Dagger to send Jason back to hell. "A Vorhees can only be killed by another Vorhees" ~Creighton Duke~ aka ~The Duke~

If they end up taking the script from the canceled Halloween Returns movie and turn it into a series it would be pretty dope, or if they take an anthology route they could make the series take place in the 80s after Michael disappeared from the 78 film and the series could show multiple strange events on Haddofield that also happen on Halloween

Me too. What we know about the planned H7 and H8 sounds so awesome and surely would make great Halloween movies.
We would have Tommy Doyle back as the main character in 7 and would have gotten a happy ending in H8.

That’s actually a pretty good storyline.
I think one of the main reasons this is happening is because Jason Voorhees is getting his own TV show. Michael and Jason are arguably to of the most recognizable characters on horror history, so I think miramax is trying to capitalize off of that. Two competing shows about the most popular villains in horror history would generate a TON of buzz. Either way, I’m super pumped for both of them.

Ngl, I would love some scenes to be recreated. For example, the one arm pull up from H20, the kill where Michael lifted a firefighter up in the air, and maybe even create some more cool kills and stunts.
I mean we all knew a new timeline was gonna happen and honestly this franchise has been rebooted to death like Jesus Christ💀. Who knows what motive Micheal will have this time. Really bummed we won’t get a different continuation from Halloween 4 but oh well it could still happen tho.

Yeah. Just have him escape the hospital and completely give up trying to kill Laurie and go somewhere else especially to lay low from the cops, and then eventually pick a new town to terrorize every Halloween.

If they do a reboot as a tv series, and they do it like Robert Rodriguez did with the From Dusk Till Dawn series, it could work really good. The first season was, basically, a remake of the film, but expanded and more in depth. Absolutely Loved It.

@@cjgamer6356 In Halloween Ends he didn’t die of old age. He was dying yes, but age had nothing to do with his health declining. The reason he was dying was because he was dying from multiple infections since he had untreated wounds that got infected. But if you seen the movie, you would know what really killed him. Which was, Laurie slitting his throat, his wrist and stabbing him in the arm pit causing him to bleed to death. So no he didn’t die from old age

@@RedCommunistDragon You should see the original script they had with Jamie as the killer called "Halloween 5: The Killer Inside Me" which featured Michael teleporting, debilitating himself, Jamie having psychic and telekinetic powers, Dr Loomis as a straight up villain, and Michael dies from not being feared at and explodes into a pile of knives, revealing the little boy in a clown underneath it all.

Would rather have H7, H8 and Michael vs Pinhead (which would have featured Jamie as the final girl) than having a totally evil Loomis and Jamie becoming a carry-like superhuman.

Honestly, I seriously think that the Halloween franchise needs to just live on in legacy at this point. Considering how messy the franchise is at this point with all the multiple alternate timelines, etc... I'm just not really interested anymore. Sometimes you need to just let something be as is, instead of constantly flooding the market with the IP... especially considering the constant mixed results this series has seen since the third & fourth one (even though I love both of those).
The ONLY idea I could get behind is if the old character they’re referring to is Loomis and the TV show follows him and young Michael (who doesn’t fucking talk) and maybe we see some of his other crazy patients, Michael can escape in the final episode leading up to the movie
I always wanted a sequal to h4 or maybe h5 that brings back Danielle Harris as adult Jaimie Lloyd. Especially since h6 completely ruined everything with the character. I would like to see that character have some semblance of a decent ending

I wonder if they could do a Halloween Returns type of idea for this if anyone has read the cancelled script for that movie it would be a cool way to do a series or movie for that script.
I do want to see a sequel to Halloween 6. (Follow up what happened with Tommy, Kara, Danny and Stephen who is Jamie's newborn baby and is the only living family member of Michael and show us what happened to Loomis)
A sequel to Resurrection were we see what happened to John and follow up that story from H20.
Maybe even a sequel to Halloween 4 and give justice to Jamie that she deserves. The director of Halloween 4 Dwight H Little talked about maybe doing it and he even said how he would title it.

I'd love them to do a Bates Motel with Halloween. I'm a huge fan of Psycho and I was angry when they announced the show and refused to watch it the first two seasons. Finally I gave it a try and now it's one of my favourite shows of all time. I'd love to see something like that done with Halloween.

If they ever wanted to make H3 connect to the series they could just tweak the spell into making kids into killers instead of melting their heads, then connect that to Michael watching the special as a kid and have a world of killers

Maybe the series going into the universe is that an anthology series? Connecting the stories of Season of the witch and Michael and the Silver Shamrock mask company

I feel like peak Platinum Dunes era would’ve made the perfect Halloween remake. I always felt like their ability to mix the stories and best moments of all the films in a franchise to one (except NOES) was great. The Friday the 13th remake was like a mega mix of all the films with a fresh spin. Hope this show is like that
Everyone forgets Halloween was supposed to be a anthology series. It could quite easily be turned into a cinematic universe. Let’s say that every so often an evil that has always existed in Haddonfield Illinois possesses someone/something…it could be interesting and setting up a sequel via the entity possessing its next person/object

Go back to the original novelization with the festival of Samhain place that in 63, it was arranged by Silver Shamrock and the evil curse was placed over Haddonfield. Loomis investigates this after H1 unrevealing these twists and leading to a bigger story covering what led to the 63 and 78 nights so it's a prequel/follow up to the original film.

Hopefully we'll one day get Laurie as a copycat killer or anti-hero or get Michael Myers as an anti-hero.

Something I’ve always clamored to see in the Halloween franchise, if they decide to jump off of that 1978 movie or just reboot it, is something akin to the 78 movie’s ending. Michael just vanishes that night when he escapes Smith Grove’s and is just on the loose. He’d become the town’s Boogeyman and some kind of a myth, returning every Halloween or so to skepticism from locals. The new series could jump off of a random encounter with him on one of these proceeding Halloween’s and establish Michael as preexisting in this world, leaving opening the option for movies about what Michael did between the newest movie and his escape. Just my opinion on the direction though.
I kinda wished they did a legacy sequel to Season of the Witch since Sliver Shamrock masks made cameos in Halloween kills.
I love Carpenter and Blum house concept with halloween. A new Michael myers would be sick in a good way if possible, he's like the name you dont want to say in the mirror.

I don't really see how a Michael Myers-centric cinematic universe could work. They've repeatedly tried to give reason to why he kills (i.e. Movie 5 and 6) and they weren't well written. One thing that could work would be to follow John Carpenter's original ideas to make each Halloween film a separate movie like Halloween III was. That way it is a shared universe, but not necessarily one that hinges on Michael appearing all the time. Another idea that comes to mind is to continue the fourth movie's twist ending (Jamie being the next Shape) and creating a new timeline from that movie.
