I like how Halloween ends does the season of the witch and it's almost the same way they did the first three movies. If you think about it. Halloween 2018 happens on Halloween like the first. Halloween kills deals with the hospital and the same as Halloween 2. Then Halloween ends deals with the control of Micheal the same way the illuminati was going to controll the people and kill them in Halloween season of the witch

The alternative opening for Halloween 5 where Dr Death is the one who kept Michael's body for a year and is implied to have used the Thorn symbol as voodoo magic to awaken him and make him stronger wouldve made so much more sense than the convoluted mess they tried to make sense of. But of course the producers wanted Michael's first kill in the movie to be someone we'd sympathize with, not a creepy post teen witch doctor

I haven't seen Ends, and I did not know Michael becomes a shaky old man. That's perfect!!! Such a good reference to the Curse timeline. Since Corey picked up the helm of Michael Myers so to speak, the OG was losing his evilness. Corey was draining Michael of what he is, fear. I haven't even watched Kills, but I'm really interested in them both now.
You got what they did wrong. You’d have to see the movie to actually see what they did. Micheal never lost his evilness and Corey never drained Micheal. The way they played it though was eh. Kills is one of my favorites though as a bloodbath it is so I mean that’s good

I like to imagine a timeline where all the original 8 movies tied together and then 20 years after Resurrection, Laurie is revealed to still be alive once again and Michael coming for her. With nods to Jamie Lloyd and all that. Faked her death after 2, went to become a college dean and had a new son, fought Michael, went to the asylum only to fake her death again. Or at least just survived the stab. It never made much sense to me why this 2018 timeline has Laurie so PTSD over Michael when he only ever killed 3 people 40 years ago and has no reason to want to get Laurie.
I totally agree. There are many explanations to tie H4, 5 and 6 to H20. Also in H3, Cochrane mentions Mrs Blankenship, and there is one in H6. So you can tie them all. Even the Zombie movies could have been like the Stab series is for Scream, the movies in universe. And H2018 could have very simply said Laurie survived her fall in Resurrection. Replace Karen with John from H20, he still have a daughter Allyson though. Say the cops captured Michael after Resurrection, and the events of H2018 would happen almost the same. No need to retcon anything. It could have been Halloween 9.
@@doctornico1759 I definitely could see a scenario where the “cult of thorn” was proven to be bullshit and the real reason Michael is the way he is, is because of wearing a experimental silver shamrock mask. I would’ve loved to see a 40 years later where Laurie acknowledged Jamie, Loomis going on to fight Michael even after she faked her death and how his death affected her. Could’ve made some of the shittier movies look a little better by tying them together. But it’ll never happen
SPOILERS. It was amazing. I think that the movie was really good with how they handled the killer, and I’m pretty surprised with the fact that they killed off who they did, and not back out at the last second. Seeing Laurie’s look for terror when she finds out her friends are dead was just such good acting and loved it.
I really hope they just go the anthology series route it’ll be great to see people’s creativity and get the support from a big studio at least for a few movies and if it doesn’t work they can always bring Michael back it’s not like they have a problem rebooting
My fav (and I don’t think it’ll change) is the H1,H2,H4,H5,H6 timeline! Flaws and all, It’s the one I grew up on and it features my personal favorite Michael, The Legendary George P Wilbur!
I agree I like the main timeline the most. Yeah Halloween 🎃 End’s focus on Corey too much was bizarre but at least it did actually give us that final battle between Laurie and Michael with an actual proper conclusion this time of Laurie actually killing Michael for real. We know it’s him this time since she took the mask off and shredded him into that car compacter. The type of satisfying conclusion that H20 initially had until the idiotic Resurrection retcon.
I agree with you but I think the main issue that alot of people are having is the victory for Laurie was made to feel kinda tainted because of Michael being made to look so weak in other than that this movie was great with the passing the torch plot but if they were going for just a straight trilogy timeline and that's it than I have to see Chris points from that aspect
@@marquiseboyd3768 Yeah but him being weakened at that point made her victory make sense since there’s no way in hell she could have beat prime Halloween 🎃 Kills monster Michael. I think the real problem with it was that it was shoehorned in at the very end despite it not corresponding with the majority of the plot beforehand. The whole movie should have led up to it instead of just being about Corey.
There's always a pattern all these timelines are following, they start of gold with the initial sequel's(e.g. Halloween 2, Halloween H20, Halloween 2018) then the make mistakes midway and end up the timeline in the worst possible way. No one has ever been able to give a perfect or near to perfect end to a Halloween story.
1:49 Despite its flaws the new timeline's my favourite. James Jude Courtney's the best and scariest Michael since Nick Castle in the original, it has my favourite version of Laurie who gets closure with Michael instead of either dying in an offscreen car crash or being stupidly killed in her own trap by him in Resurrection, Michael was brought back to the mysterious random killer who's better off unexplained that he should be, the trilogy goes into how different people and Haddonfield itself were affected by Michael's murders and so on.

I think the new timeline is the best if we have to see the timeline through because I like the first 3 but if I could pick and choose the movies then H20 timeline without Resurrection.
Should’ve gone with the anthology route I liked season of the witch and I think it would’ve worked well if they didn’t make Halloween 2 because by that point you’ve established micheal myers into the Halloween franchise so the reaction to Halloween 3 is understandable as everyone expected micheal at that point
12:04 I think for the next years Kills and Ends from the 2018 timeline will gain a lot of cult following like they did with Halloween III: Season of the Witch. You'll watch again, again and again that you'll end off liking it! I liked Ends but it's not as great as the last two films. And about the anthology timeline (4:56), I'm down for it tho, Season of the Witch could have set up for new Halloween stories but people wanted to see more Michael Myers for the next films. That shows after the cult following that Halloween III has gained, Season of the Witch is totally a misunderstood movie.
Great video! My ranking of all the timelines: 5. Rob Zombie's Halloween Timeline - I don't like either of these, but they had some interesting ideas, just wished they got fleshed out more 4. The Cult of Thorn Timeline - Halloween 5 and 6 bring it down a bit 3. The H20 Timeline - Resurrection brings it down quite a bit 2. The Anthology Timeline - Very solid movies, but I like one timeline more 1. The Blumhouse Timeline - Halloween 1978 is perfect to me, same goes for 2018 and Ends, but I think Kills is just okay
I LOVE the blumhouse trilogy end even Ends, I only have minor nitpicks. If they were to continue I would rather them continue an Anthology but set in the same world, the ending line where Evil doesn't Die, it just takes a different shape is perfect to start it off. You could easily explain it as this was the end of Laurie and Michaels story, not the whole story. You could bring back her granddaughter for a movie, Bring in the Owner of the bar that lived in kills and was in the original Halloween, Corey if you wanted to somehow do that, maybe even Laurie for one more if you REALLY wanted to. You could also explain some things that happened in the blumhouse trilogy to "fix" some of the mistakes, but connecting it to another movie. Make a season of the witch remake in that universe and the Easter egg is that is one of the mask Michael wears, and boom, explains the dogs barking and him wanting to break out, and explains abit of Corey, and if they do it right, it explains how Michael can take so much damage but still more or less be human. Somehow fix a new cult of thorn storyline but without Michael, maybe you could do it with Corey, or you could have lead up to a true epic finale with Laurie and Michael by it bringing him back with it, cause his influence on the people were that strong I'm just spitballing but there are so many possibilities. I'm thinking it would be perfect way to continue it. But if we HAVE to, I wouldn't mind a reboot with some younger characters.
@@3CFilms H5 was absolutely awful. It ruined the awesome cliffhanger ending of H4. H4 set up H5 with so much potential but the bad direction, annoying new characters and rush to put it in theaters was it downfall. They could have done better with the Jamie Llyod character. H6 was a mess that was butchered by the studio. There are some things I liked about it but a lot of things I disliked about it. I hated the Thorn storyline.
Halloween ends was freaking amazing. Completely different and unique and has an awesome story. Of course it still has flaws but I think over time it will become one of the most respected in the series
Hey Cris! I honestly enjoyed this trilogy. It’s the timeline that introduced me to Micheal Myers and I believe that most of these movies are not that bad! I looked at all of your recaps last year and that’s when I became such a fan, so thank you for introducing me to this rockin’ serie of movies 🤘
I love this ranking and I've told people time and time again that if Rob Zombie built off the first 30 mins of his H2 he could have made one of the best movies in the franchise but he definitely dropped the ball on that one!!
Halloween Ends so far is incredibly overhated, much like Kills in my opinion. I really enjoy the Blumhouse trilogy and I agree with it being perfect, one issue I have with it is the exclusion of Halloween II cause I really enjoy that and the sibling twist
I think my favorite timeline is the H40 timeline or the Blumhouse timeline. It really shined a brilliant light on the story between Laurie and Michael and Laurie’s evolution.
I wish they would have included H20 in the recent timeline with Halloween (2018, Kills and Ends). I didn't mind the RZ versions but more specifically I loved the Myers mask in those. I love your channel. Thanks, Chris.
I enjoyed Halloween Ends more than most fans because it was fun to watch, unique, different, I was never bored throughtout the whole runtime and it kept me at the edge of my seat the wholeruntime. I agree with you however that it should have not be a finale or this trilogy and should have instead be used or a latter reboot of the franchise. My favorite timeline of this franchise are the Thorn timeline and the David Gorden Green timeline. This was another good ranking video.
I totally agree with you on the list! One of the main reasons I really like with the H40 timeline and it’s my favourite one is the production value and cinematography of all three movies. They all look so damn good and while still working as a trilogy they are all so different. That is an achievement and to be honest… Ends is awesome as a final movie of trauma/fear which is what the H40 timeline is all about.
I really wish this franchise was an anthology series. Personally, I don't think the law of the first film was deep enough in order to make many if any good sequels with the Michael Myers character. Just imagine after 1978 we never saw Michael Myers ever again and how impactful and chilling that the ending of the first film would be.
The problem I have with the new one is how they portrayed Laurie. In H2O she goes about her life in the timegap, in 2018 she’s sitting and waiting for Michael to get out. After escaping once he’s going to be put in maximum security.
I think the only option left if they went to do another requel series is go from the ending of H4 But honestly idk what the future looks like if they decide for another remake but I hope it’s damn good I will never get tired of Michael Myers or these Halloween films even if some are bad, they will forever entertain me no matter what I just love the franchise so damn much
Just saw Halloween Ends yesterday. The movie was kinda slow at the beginning, but I did like the IDEA of someone else being consumed by evil. I didn't like how Michael was working with someone. Overall, the 2 things I woulda changed is I would like to make the movie longer, and add more Michael scenes. However...I will obviously rewatch it

No joke, the minute I just finished watching Halloween for the first time, this video came out.
I just finished his spoiler review not even a minute ago for Ends lol this vid right on time
And I just came back from watching Halloween Ends.
How did you like it?
You honestly said it perfectly at 11:52 That's exactly the way I feel about Halloween ends.
My fav (and I don’t think it’ll change) is the H1,H2,H4,H5,H6 timeline! Flaws and all, It’s the one I grew up on and it features my personal favorite Michael, The Legendary George P Wilbur!
I really enjoyed this franchise breakdown. Very concise, cohesive and entertaining 🎉
Love ya Chris, there’s something about you that just seems so genuine that I click every video no matter what it’s about - keep smashing it!
Love the thought of going back and trying Halloween anthology movie's
Love it when you post videos brightens my day up keep up the awesome work dude 🙌
Dude you're top 3 movie reviews for me man thanks for such good and awesome fun content!

Liked how you told all the timelines one by one
Just wanted to say I really Appreciate your videos. You do an excellent commentating on horror franchises. Keep up the fantastic work!
This is my ranking of the movies
13. Ressirection
12. Curse
11. Cult
10. Season of the witch
9. Rob zombie's Halloween ii
8. Halloween kills
7. Halloween ends
6. Halloween ii
5. Rob zombie's Halloween
4. H20
3. Halloween 4
2. Halloween 1978
1. Halloween 2018
5. Anthology timeline
4. H20 timeline
3. Rob zombie timeline
2. Sequel timeline
1. Blum House trilogy
Yeah we need a Multiverse Halloween Madness Movie, having all the Michaels come together to defeat an Evil Dr. Loomis.
5. Zombie
4. Resurrection
3. Thorn
2. Anthology
1. Blumhouse
Great vid Cris, my favorite is the new Blumhouse timeline
Hi Chris I love your content man! Keep it up ❤
Chris, here's my ranking of the *Best and Worst* Halloween Timelines *(This is just my opinion)* some people might not agree with me! 1. Classic Halloween Timeline
2. Halloween 20 years later
3. Anthology Halloween
4. Blumhouse Halloween
5. Rob Zombie's Halloween

I think the new timeline is the best if we have to see the timeline through because I like the first 3 but if I could pick and choose the movies then H20 timeline without Resurrection.
Chris, I love them 3c pumpkin transitions
Personally I think the blumhouse is the best timeline,I enjoy the gore, Lorie strode, And of course ya boy Micheal Myers
I 100% agree with you. And I’ve watched Halloween ends again, each time I like it more and more
Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween H20 (1998)
This is my timeline, this is my trilogy..
This is a perfect list tbh
Should’ve gone with the anthology route
I liked season of the witch and I think it would’ve worked well if they didn’t make Halloween 2 because by that point you’ve established micheal myers into the Halloween franchise so the reaction to Halloween 3 is understandable as everyone expected micheal at that point
Yup! Of Halloween 2 didn’t happen and went straight to season of the witch things would be so different
That shows Halloween III: Season of the Wish was a misunderstood movie. It didn't convinced people but now it showed attention to it. :>
I Honestly would like to see a video where on how you would make the perfect Halloween timeline but your own
12:04 I think for the next years Kills and Ends from the 2018 timeline will gain a lot of cult following like they did with Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
Dude, awesome video! Love your passion. You give me new perspective on these films.
I liked timelines 1 and 5 the most. ✌🏼
My favorite youtuber! keep it up Chris!!
Love the consistency of entertainment you’ve been given us lately chris! ❤
Great video!
My ranking of all the timelines:
5. Rob Zombie's Halloween Timeline - I don't like either of these, but they had some interesting ideas, just wished they got fleshed out more
4. The Cult of Thorn Timeline - Halloween 5 and 6 bring it down a bit
3. The H20 Timeline - Resurrection brings it down quite a bit
2. The Anthology Timeline - Very solid movies, but I like one timeline more

Somehow fix a new cult of thorn storyline but without Michael, maybe you could do it with Corey, or you could have lead up to a true epic finale with Laurie and Michael by it bringing him back with it, cause his influence on the people were that strong
I'm just spitballing but there are so many possibilities.
I'm thinking it would be perfect way to continue it.
But if we HAVE to, I wouldn't mind a reboot with some younger characters.
Love the vids man! Keep it up!
I consider Halloween, Halloween ll, and Halloween 4 a perfect trilogy.
Yes I agree 100%. These 3 are in my top 3
Would be perfect but then 5 & 6 had to happen😩
Thank you for another great vid, Chris!
I honestly completely agree with this ranking!
I wish they would have included H20 in the recent timeline with Halloween (2018, Kills and Ends). I didn't mind the RZ versions but more specifically I loved the Myers mask in those. I love your channel. Thanks, Chris.
The reason it couldn't be is ....where is her son? He just disappears. It wouldn't make sense.
Chris your an inspiration for us all, on how much you work and put out videos. It shows that you actually love what u do!!!! ❤❤🎉
You should do a ranking of all the Halloween masks
Happy Sunday, Chris! Love ya, man
I enjoyed Halloween Ends more than most fans because it was fun to watch, unique, different, I was never bored throughtout the whole runtime and it kept me at the edge of my seat the wholeruntime. I agree with you however that it should have not be a finale or this trilogy and should have instead be used or a latter reboot of the franchise. My favorite timeline of this franchise are the Thorn timeline and the David Gorden Green timeline. This was another good ranking video.
I agree with your ratings. I wish that Halloween 2 could still be in that.
Imo Halloween->Halloween 2->H20 is still the most consistent, satisfying and interesting timeline personally
Halloween 1978, Halloween 2, Halloween 2018, Halloween kills. Would be a Goated timeline. Ima just pretend this is cannon
I hate that so many people sleep on Halloween 2. It is my favorite sequel as well❤🎃
Hi I am a big fan of your channel
I completely agree with your choice of timeline
I agree 💯 with you. The Blumhouse timeline is the best. It had a start and finish, a few bumps on the road but it gave Laurie the closure she needed.
Yes I've been waiting for this

Love ur vids
I completely agree with this rating. Also I loved Ends
I really wish this franchise was an anthology series. Personally, I don't think the law of the first film was deep enough in order to make many if any good sequels with the Michael Myers character. Just imagine after 1978 we never saw Michael Myers ever again and how impactful and chilling that the ending of the first film would be.
I absolutely adore ur channel
The problem I have with the new one is how they portrayed Laurie. In H2O she goes about her life in the timegap, in 2018 she’s sitting and waiting for Michael to get out. After escaping once he’s going to be put in maximum security.
I think the only option left if they went to do another requel series is go from the ending of H4
But honestly idk what the future looks like if they decide for another remake but I hope it’s damn good
I will never get tired of Michael Myers or these Halloween films even if some are bad, they will forever entertain me no matter what
I just love the franchise so damn much

Just saw Halloween Ends yesterday. The movie was kinda slow at the beginning, but I did like the IDEA of someone else being consumed by evil. I didn't like how Michael was working with someone. Overall, the 2 things I woulda changed is I would like to make the movie longer, and add more Michael scenes. However...I will obviously rewatch it

I 100% agree with you on list as a whole.
I feel like there should be a 6th timeline with just the original. In my opinion it’s a perfect film itself and becomes creepier without the explanations of the sequels.
