Kid Michael was getting into fights, pissing on himself, hurting animals and threatened to kill Judith because she didn't give him any candy and drowned a girl for taking something from him . Plus his great grandfather was a killer who killed a couple on halloween night
@@Mshaw98Honestly I think trying to explain Michael's actions sort of ruins the idea of him a bit. It's the fact we don't know his reasons that make him creepier and more unsettling.

I agree once they give the shape a reason to wanna kill…it definitely screwed up the franchise and made the movies lackluster. So Halloween 1 was great and I’ll say the 2nd one.
@@thestickyspot1297 I got to agree because the creativity wasn’t original/there once john carpenter and debra hill didn’t write or produce the movies after halloween 2.
Me personally, since I started out with Halloween II, then later with H2O and went back to watch the original, I’d say the family ties are for me. There’s just something about having a serial killer in the family that makes it terrifying to live with because you’re their blood and it’s inescapable. I also do love the mystery behind it all and sometimes having no motive is scarier. But for me, I’m going to stick with the family connection.
I prefer the family motive, simply because it gives Laurie’s character more importance. The only issue with that being the motive is that it makes the series harder to continue without Laurie. In the reboot “Laurie” was immediately more integral to the story. And once 2018 came out the big draw was Jamie returning as Laurie. I’m not sure how the franchise can move away from this formula and be successful. The scary thing is that they retconned the sibling story line and still had success. Because of that they may believe that it no longer matters, but I’m not so sure that’s the case. If Jamie Lee Curtis isn’t in these films, how would the box office look? Only time will tell. Can’t wait for Ends.
I always assumed that in the 2018 movie, Michael not killing the baby but then going on to kill the mother was a more twisted way to kill the baby in the long term: let it starve to death, with no mother to take care of it anymore. That’s my head cannon at least.

To be fair, I don’t think bullied is the motive for Michael in RZ Halloween. He’s still psychotic and messed up, the bad home life is just the Cherry on top. It hints that maybe Michael’s mind is gone because he says “is everybody at home ok?” as if nothing ever happened. Just being bullied at home isn’t his motive for killing or returning for Laurie.
Him having a bad home life on top of being bullied at school is the most realistic reason for him becoming a killer. We only see a day or two of what he goes through. Imagine what has happened to him his entire life. It's honestly the best, and like I said, realistic, motive. And he hates his family so much that he doesn't want any of it left which is why he comes back for his sister.
He never wanted to Kill Laurie in the Rob zombie universe nor his mother. It was just everyone else who treated him badly that he murdered and it started with him killing animals which the novelization of the 78 mentions him starting with animals and then killed his sister. I heard Rob retconned Danny Trejos character into sexually touching Micheal as a kid which is why he killed him but idk if it's true or not

I thought the reason for the Thorn curse was because in ancient times there was a plague that ravaged villages with death and famine. And that this curse sacrifices one family so that the rest of the village can live.
Most people don’t realize. The cult was WHY he killed in the first movie. It just wasn’t stated outright until the second movie. Samhain is hallows eve and the day that thorn (the demon of the cult of thorn) takes control of Michael to kill Michael’s family. The sacrifice is either, thorn takes control of someone and kills their family, making the tribe unable to die for a specific amount of time, or if you don’t get a sacrifice then thorn will kill the whole tribe. If you understand the cult of thorn plot line it really isn’t that bad. It’s just the made it awful from how they executed it in the movies. I don't think Michael has "no motive" I think we just have no way of knowing what his motive is. It might sound the same as having no motive but I think there is a difference between someone who kills at random and just kills SEEMINGLY at random. The latter speaks more of our inability to truly know a person. We're limited to our own perspectives in life and no amount of talking or empathising will ever truly make you suddenly feel what it's like to experience another person's life and perspective. There are hints of this in Kills where a police officer in a flashback and Laurie's daughter both stand at the same window in the Myer's home where Judith was killed and they get a small glimpse of just SOMETHING that makes them stand there, perhaps something there just clicked to make them perhaps see what Michael sees all the time. Myers does seem to pick and choose who he attacks if they don't directly provoke him, even in the first movie he doesn't kill that random kid who bumped into him but he then stalks Tommy. He clearly stops and looks at the other kid for a moment before letting him go so I think there's just something his warped mind sees or thinks he sees that made him decide not to. Ultimately we'll never know what criteria he's using to decide to kill people and that's still terrifying. Like you don't know if there's something about you out of your control or if it's something you've perhaps done in life that he's able to just get a sense for, you'd never know if it could have been avoided if you lived differently.
The 2018 timeline is great, my favorite timeline is the Thorn timeline. Because Michael in that timeline is my favorite. He's probably the most brutal in that timeline and because Loomis is in that timeline.
I personally don't like the "Mike is just the embodiment of evil." It doesn't make sense in the context of all the movies. I didn't buy in the new ones that Michael was never after Laurie but just "ran into her." I like having motivations more than just he's evil and understanding the psyche. Rob's problem is he didn't go deep enough it was very stereotypical. What I liked abo the original is Michael seemed to be from an upper middle class family. We don't normally think of those types of people becoming killers.
I’m thoroughly convinced the new trilogy Michael is possessed by a demon. I lowkey would hope and wish there will be an autopsy and slight explanation to his behavior alongside cliffhanger cause EVERYONE knows Michael never truly dies.

@@elfrankycuz2503 Youre not making much sense with your wording but yes I never said that the thorn timeline wasn't connected to the first 2 movies.
the thorn timeline is also its own timeline not connected to the H1, H2, H20 and Resurrection timeline which also share the same timeline as the first 2 thus its a different timeline. H20 and Resurrection aren't the same timeline as the thorn timeline.
Thorn timeline 4, 5 and 6 are connected to H1 and H2 but have nothing to do with H20 and Resurrection.
@@MKF30 I didn't say it was connected to h20 and ressution I said thorn timeline it's part of the original timeline the first timeline to exist
Is it Sam from trick-or-treat because if so you did a great job!!!!!!!
Edit: You did it!!!!!!!! Congrats on 500k you deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly halloween 1 and 2 wasn't a bad reason. I wouldn't have minded Jamie lee being his sister and he was trying to kill off his bloodline
Would’ve made killing Karen more hard hitting with only Allyson and Laurie left to kill the shape
So how would he know who Laurie is & what she looks like ? That’s the part that makes absolute no sense
As long as its not the curse of thorn
I love the mysterious Micheal of the 2018 timeline. We don't know why he does anything that he does and that makes him even more scary.
With the exception of Halloween Ends ofcourse which weakens him.
Yeah
As A Thorne Cult Tattoo haver, I feel called out lol
Knowing that he’s just pure evil is so intense
The family and the cult go hand in hand in motive in my opinion, which the third movie implied that that cult was responsible for the shape's purpose.
The original 1978 undebatably has the best motive, which is no motive at all.
I like Thorn too, but original no motive is a lot more scarier.
Congrats on 500k lk I'm late but I also been watching you since the civil war videos and I still love your content keep it up dude.
That jack o lantern looks like Sam from Trick ‘r Treat 🎃

I do have a cult of Thorn tattoo.. was my second tattoo i got around age 19
The 2018 timeline is great, my favorite timeline is the Thorn timeline. Because Michael in that timeline is my favorite. He's probably the most brutal in that timeline and because Loomis is in that timeline.
I wouldn’t say the 2018 series is great. I would say it’s OK at best.
Congratulations on 500k Cris. LETS PARTY😂🎂
All Of The Stories Are Great👍🏻. Can't Wait For Ends
Love this man can’t wait for your other videos
I guess I’m the only one who likes the Rob Zombie motive. Okay, I’ll see my self out now.
Congrats on 500k! Well deserved Chris!
your jack is supposed to be Sam from Trick r' Treat, I heard the second Trick r' Treat has finally been green lit, can't wait!
Congrats on 500k!!!
If you’re a horror/slasher fan you know they never end
Congrats on 500k Chris 🥳🎉👏
Congrats on reaching 500k dude🔥🔥🔥
Also CONGRATULATIONS ON 500K CHUCKY BOY
I personally don't like the "Mike is just the embodiment of evil." It doesn't make sense in the context of all the movies. I didn't buy in the new ones that Michael was never after Laurie but just "ran into her." I like having motivations more than just he's evil and understanding the psyche. Rob's problem is he didn't go deep enough it was very stereotypical. What I liked abo the original is Michael seemed to be from an upper middle class family. We don't normally think of those types of people becoming killers.
Congrats on 500k subs dude!
I’m thoroughly convinced the new trilogy Michael is possessed by a demon. I lowkey would hope and wish there will be an autopsy and slight explanation to his behavior alongside cliffhanger cause EVERYONE knows Michael never truly dies.
I agree, Micheal has to be possessed after all the damage he went through and the way how he acts and walks.
The carving of the pumpkin is jack from the night before Christmas and W vid
Congratulations man🎃 500k🎉🥳
Congratulations on hitting 500 Thousand subscribers
EPIC SAM PUMPKIN BRO!!
HAPPY 500K CHRIS! I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more!☺☺
Congrats on 500k subscribers!!!
Ok my guess on the pumpkin is Sam from Trick r’ Treat! My favorite Halloween movie 🥰
I know this comment is super super late, but congrats on the 500K! You deserve 1000%. Your videos Al always the highlights of my day, so thanks for putting in the time and effort you do.
5th option: his sister stole his candy in 1963, and he's been livid ever since.
Chris. I feel like when Michael didn’t kill the baby in 2018..I honestly wondered wat if….wat if and this is gnna sound dark but make sense! Wat if Michael felt that baby will be some sorta bad person when it grows up and that is why he chose not to kill it? Makes sense and kinda makes it more scarier and definitely makes that moment darker lol…but they could easily say technically that baby was not in his way? Lol
was just binge watching your halloween reviews
My dad has a cousin who doesn’t know that me or my siblings even exist
Happy 500k! ❤🎈
Still can’t believe that Halloween ends is the last film. Thanks for the videos
Last film in Blumhouse trilogy, not entire franchise
@@Dentonas1237 oh thanks for saying so.
The new trilogy isn’t really that good at least to me if they’re not really that good
It won't be the last time we see Michael. But hopefully they leave him to rest for a while. I want them to turn Halloween back into an anthology. Do a Season of the Witch sequel, and create new stories around the myths and legends of Halloween
I like the new time line. Having Michael being just a straight evil force of nature makes home even more horrifying to me . Already my ticket for Thursday. I can't wait
I have a cult of thorn tattoo!! Thanks for the shoutout lmao 😂
Sam doesn’t look bad compared to what I would’ve done to the pumpkin if I were doing it
