i started playing lash a couple days ago and i’ve been waiting for this lol. lash itemization is so complicated; there are so many different items but i feel like some of the builds take so long to get online and don’t scale into lategame that well. this video came out at the perfect time for me lol
Thanks for the guide. I've noticed a trend in most guides from most creators that they focus only on itemization and almost never show combos, skill interactions etc. wish there was more of that especially for more complicated heroes like this

Don't play Lash, don't plan on it, but man I love to watch your videos just for the information density. I also think it definitely helps to understand the enemy hero to better counter them - so I take all the hero guides I can get :)
I tried out the gun build twice. First time, was ahead and absolutely melted everybody. Second game, got behind and felt incredibly useless. Really fun build I want to mess around with more though. You should make more content on it!

One useful fact with Lash's Ultimate/4 is that while it has rather short/small Horizontal Range, its Verticle range is unlimited, so one of the best way to use it is to start casting above the targets

Hey great video, i was just wondering why you dont have Mystic Reach/ Improved Reach for Ultimate and Flog, also i wanna know why you dont use Leech, whenever i have 6300 Souls relatively early i just buy Leech and instantly feel like a raid boss
Lash doesn't need Leech, he already heals for a ton of health anytime he uses Flog. Reach is an option but I find I don't have the slots for it usually and don,t find it necessary :)

Secondly, I see many builds with extra spirit -> improved spirit-> boundless spirit. The stats seem like a no brainer for lash, 300hp and a whopping 60 spirit power. You don’t build it tho, what’s your opinion on that?
do you think lash's aiming requirement is a high skill floor sort of deal? i am in love with deadlock but im not as good at aiming as i used to be, i want to play lash but hitting shots while im airborne is so difficult.
Also had a question about your build, why no soul shredder bullets? Cheap, effective, just a weapon slot for roughly the value of mystic vulnur. + spirit lifesteal. Personally don't buy mystic shot coz hard to aim that first shot, so I just spray before combo someone, nearly same value damage-wise, combining them should be even stronger
Good question :) I used to buy soul shredder bullets a lot, but I find that you don't necessarily apply it before your combos, rendering it not as good. Also, you don't really need spirit lifesteal, since you have Flog. Mystic shot I always benefit from as the shots after landing my ground slam are guaranteed

i think Deadlock's sandbox is such a perfect game mode to test the heroes .. there's stationary ones, moving ones, creeps and you can spawn heroes to test things and showcase abilities and how to use them. I think a gameplay example might even be harder to showcase, since there's usually more going on and here, he can focus on showing the basic ideas and what is important
Any reason why you don't include mystic reach or improved reach in the build? They dramatically improve the horizontal cast range of your ultimate, making it much easier to grab targets.
Yeah - I've tried it, and with my current playstyle, it hasn't felt worth the slot to me. The cast range is nice, but with superior stamina you can usually get on-top of them, rendering the extra range not that useful. If I had infinite slots I'd put it in, but I don't find it to be worth at the moment. That might change though!
@@Deathy ngl I tried a game with sup. stamina and if its one or the other for a flex slot reach is taking it every time, especially if it’s an early pickup, there’s no damage scaling and as you talked about lash is feast or famine
@@abreathofairABOA I won't fault you for going your own playstyle, but once you get used to superior stamina, it makes Lash feel WAY stronger. You have tons more control on how you engage, you can get considerable higher for ground slams, etc.
The biggest problem I have with Lash is the low damage in the late game, You are a killing machine all game, then suddenly your combo doesn't do much anymore.
If you're looking for burst in lane, immediate charged melee should be guaranteed after landing ground strike after the second upgrade, however, if your knockup doesn't go the absolute max height because the opponent hits their head on a ceiling, they will land back down fast enough to parry. You will see this happen sometimes when coming down on someone hiding under the center bridges in lane.
Sometimes when I'm jumping in the air and I'm trying to get higher I accidentally go on the ziplines. Any ideas how to avoid it? It's annoying when I'm looking down, waiting for perfect ultimate opportunity, I jump to keep the height and I go down because Lash decides to latch onto zipline.
How do you use Cold Front in a combo? I feel like I've seen Lash players cast it mid air (?) while falling with Ground Strike but I've never been able to get that to work. The way I use it now is basically land with GS, CF while they're knocked up but the problem with that is it doesn't let allow me to from shoot one burst of my gun while they're knocked up (which is actually kind of important if you have mystic shot up again).

The knockup is a very small window and guaranteeing the damage from cold front is better than getting a .5 second longer slow (which fall off to a 40% slow at that point). Comboing 1 with CF would mean a ~70% slow before slow reduction (~40% with enduring speed) and a massive burst that's almost impossible to dodge if they just got ulted and hit by 1. People who have played other mobas, or fighting games understand the concept of a 'combo'. Giving people the opportunity to roll/warpstone out of range of cold front is exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

I know it is a lot more work but these would be way more engaging if you added in gameplay footage instead of just staying in the sand box.

It also grants more scaling per meter for 1!

Doesn't Spirit Lifesteal give almost the same amount of icnreased healing as healing booster but also lets you lifesteal off your other abilities?

Oh that’s a good tip. I never thought to melee after slam while they’re in the air.

you get less total slow time if they’re in the air, you want to use it ideally the moment they regain control of their character

Technically it's a cone, although the shape you see is a circle, but it's a cone that expands from Lash's body if that makes sense.
