Like any MOBA, you want to farm as much as possible. However, you also need to do objectives. So when you hit a power spike, abuse the shit out of it via killing or pushing and then farm again for another power spike.
@@pooshpoosh9232 I think you can be given the training mode. This really depends on the person but when looking at public pre-made builds in training mode, some ppl write detailed notes and let you now what item will provide the biggest power spikes

My problem is that I find the map not unique enough to make me easily navigate it. I stare at the small minimap and try to make sense of where the camps are, and when I look at better players they seem to farm places I dont even see on the minimap!

@@ken.7019 Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no MMR in Deadlock, no? You play normal games, so yea they might try to match people who has more hours together, but It's not "MMR". Most of the "High MMR" creators I see always get matched with at least a few new players. I don't think there's a balance regarding matchmaking tbh
I think the takeaway from the souls sharing change at 10 minutes is that wave management is important, it doesn't necessarily mean spread out, it means push lanes and group, then after you can come back and get the built up wave that has pushed back in the side lanes
@@melonxo Potentially, running to a side lane catching 12 minions then having a 1250 buy in 30 seconds feel pretty OP. I know the souls "Cap" is heavy in this game, and you will never get a true full build, but being able to get a "Core" item in less than a minute does feel OP at times. Especially with how snowbally this game is at the moment.
Im not new to mobas per se, but deadlock really puts a spin in the genre, so this guides are really insightful, I would love one about combat mobility tho, I have discovered some nice tricks like sliding out of a dash or dashing down mid air, but Im sure there is more to it that I do not know about
good note is that if playing either of the 2 mid lanes there is like 15 things to break in mid boss arena area also using teleporters to gank bot from top or top from bot if enemy is pushed to your guardian/ ur team is just fighting them in general and the numbers win the fight etc
You should have mentioned (if you knew) that soul values for troopers get halved if your associated lane base guardians die. It's important to keep those up so you dont fall behind
10 minutes in I have the haze on my team rush ricochet and run around the map stealing all the camps for the next 20 minutes while we lose all our walkers.
Been using infernus and his flame walking ability clears all the camps instantly with no effort. Been using it to steal camps and stay at lane at the same time.

Question - if you melee a creep before the 10 minute mark - do both teammates get the souls? Or do both teammates get full soul value only if the orb floats off?
As a new moba player.. i struggle knowing when to defend wave/farm and when to help with a teamfight.. sometimes ill be across map and my team randomly takes a teamfight while two of our lanes our being pushed by creeps.. and i never know to join or stay and defend.. cause im not certain if me going there will stop my team from dying but ik me defending will keep our lanes up and my power increases.. but then their whole team can just push lane etc after killing my team.. any advice?
How did you do those smooth nice animations. For example when you showed what a medium camp looks like on the minimap the line that came up slightly squished the triangle?

This is most likely due to the game still being in early development, the map will probably get a more lot detailed and distinguishable later on.
