I left out some minor things like for example: you can always squeeze off a light melee after ball stunning before doing a combo on someone without having any duration increases, but I don't think these are important, and the video was already long.
To load the the main map into sandbox so you can practice rotations, launch sandbox then put these into the console:
sv_cheats true

citadel_hero_testing_infinite_money true
citadel_hero_testing_enabled true
citadel_allow_purchasing_anywhere true

Ball viscous was in the highlights for a while, and is actually still totally valid and viable to do a TORMENT BALL drain tank. But now it is time to come home and learn combo viscous

Play 180 hours as viscious main. I legit on 9 lose streak using Viscous and think to switch main. Then this vids came to my recommendation. Now i'm on 6 win streak after watching this vids. Thank you!

I was worried the video would be too long for the typical youtube audience, but I wanted to make sure I gave the reasons for things, not just "hey press these buttons". Glad you like it.
It is hard finding quality content that is not a mix of irrelevant (to a normal game) highlight clips titled ‘best build ever!!!’ or someone passing their speculation for ‘knowledge’ without anything to back it up.

That schmoovment in the beginning was insane. I hope to be doin that shit. My first step is learning to puddle punch better though. I have gotten got by it countless times. Accidentally moving before it goes off so it moves.

Hell yeah, this is what I like to hear
foud quite a cool tech with cube+healing beam
you can puddle punch of the cube, so by using 10:00 movent tech you can drag your teammate over a long distance
beam silences you so the order shoud be:
cube + punch + dash + beam + LMB - this drags you with an ally
also you can toss only ally :
cube + punh + beam + LMB - punch will hit not from the cube but from midair so your cubbed ally will fly in the sky

As someone learning Viscous, this video is really cool! One question: you mentioned mystic shot hitting the closest player when applied with alt-fire - is that the player closest to viscous or closest to the center of alt-fire?

Hi man great guide, can we get maybe a vod gameplay breakdown of a whole game ? To see up in action
If I were to upload vod gameplay with breakdown to a whole game, I'd probably work with Goober, as he executes all these techs but plays in the highest lobbies. I'd get him in a call and do a vod review with him ideally.
I only get chances to play the game OR make content for the game on the weekend, as my schedule is just very busy.
@@Cyclopsided If you do end up doing something like this, I would like to point out that when you're talking to people that have shared interests to you, it's very easy to gloss over information they obviously would already have and it would be very appreciated if you could try to get as granular as possible so that people of all skill levels can ignore what they already know, and learn from what they don't.

I know this sounds kinda pointless but have you checked that mystic shot actually prioritizes the closest person?
To my knowledge when (lets say for easiness sake) when every person on the enemy team is his by a single ability/proc simultaneously, it will always be the same person who will take the proc no matter the distance, as long as they are hit at the same time as everyone else. Maybe it will prioritize whoever takes the most damage? Which means it will be effectively the nearest except for those who take max dmg if they were to be extremely close to each other.
I've only tested this behaviour with bebop bomb and mystic reverb so it might be different for other items
This makes more sense from a programmatic perspective, so it's probably this. Applying the proc to only the closest person would require either another check or have it built into the hit/miss detection in some fashion while applying it to the first person the game calculates the damage is presumably automatically handled by the already existing cooldown mechanic.
Yeah, I don't know exactly how it is calling in the formulas, but it is always just one target and it is the closest to the detonation in every test I did.

I used to main viscous due to high tech combos like these, but after the mad nerfs, the damage seems to be severely affected. My question is, how would u deal with nasty heal characters that have massive health bars, regen, and resist like geist, abrams, dynamo maxed out, shiv or maybe infernus? Do you just let someone else on your team deal with them, focus on the squishies like wraith, haze etc? try to end the game early if possible, and avoid them? or u have a specific ways to take those insane tanks down?
Probably try healbane and just turn into a even more support oriented role with cube and rescue beam i guess, at the end these massive healers cant be shut down all by yourself as viscous alone so you always rely on the team getting the counters aswell
@@IMGaZZA Oh that's already integral to my kit, I switched over to infernus now, and toxic bullet is a must buy for me. Ig I can no longer deal nasty dmg with viscous like the pre massive nerf days.
WIth burst combos, we need to pick and choose who we are dealing damage to. We have very high instant damage that can oneshot carries, but it won't oneshot tanks. However, puddle can be used to greatly impede the value tanks like abrams that have pushed into your team are getting.
Cube can save people. Rescue beam can save people.
Also, BUY ECHO SHARD AND SPLATTER TWICE

Yeah, all stuns get their duration reduced by it
this hero is in an eternal spiral of being nerfed and it will keep happening if people learn to do this

You can turn on insta cast for 3
It is slower than manual cast to use quick cast - instant cast has no indicator. so its a choice, manual is best

Skinner's optimized kill lane. Its just the core starting burst and some options + letting you finish how you like with either splatter/ball or gun
