    I'm just here for the story.
    So, I thought this coven was similar to that Mountain Clan of witches or force users in the first 3 episodes of the Tales of the Empire. They were just doing their own thing. Anyway, just want answers now.

    @JediJive,
    11:07 Why are you surprised? Mae works for a Sith. This takes place 100 years before the Phantom Menace. Darth Plagueis had to have learned how to create life through the Force somehow. What Mae and Osha's mothers did through the Force would have been deemed "unnatural," and they admit as much in this episode. The Sith abused Jedi arts and adopted every other forsaken belief in the Force and made it their own.
    12:54 This is something the Sith who found Mae learned for him-/herself and passed it on to the next in line.
    17:45 The Force? Sol appears to have a natural connection to Osha in the same way Ezra has a natural connection with animals. Osha has a connection to Mae even though she no longer wants it. Isn't it possible that Sol can feel what Osha feels? Either way, Chirrut Imwe showed us that those attuned to the Force can feel dark intentions in people, and that night Mae was very upset, feeling very murderous =/
    18:13 I don't think we're done with flashbacks--there is another unused scene with Carrie-Anne Moss that was shown in the trailers, so I think we will get some more on this story. That said we saw two sides of this Witches coven, and we saw two sides of these Force Sensitive children--this story, from start to finish, showed us that everything wasn't as it seemed. This story took place 16 years ago, and Torbin was in meditation for 10 years, so something happened 6 years after this event that made him want to accept blame, yeah? Osha seemingly lost her whole family, Torbin might have felt guilty for just being there--had the Jedi not been on her planet, Osha would have become a witch and she and her coven would likely be alive to this day.
    The four Jedi that came to Osha's world all seem to be bothered by what happened. Look at how they were introduced to us and how they carried themselves:
    Indara took a post far from Coruscant; she spent her time gambling in a cantina with locals
    Torbin took a post far from Coruscant; he spent his time in a Jedi temple meditating for 10 years undisturbed
    Kelnacca seemingly retired from the Jedi Order and lives alone on a forested world; he lives among nature and he doesn't appear to be practicing the Jedi arts
    Sol stayed on Coruscant; he teaches children (his natural connection to children is still strong, it seems), and he dwells on the past hoping to never repeat the previous mistakes?
    Sol is the only one who doesn't appear to harbor any guilt with what went down. The others, well, they might have something to feel guilty about...

  • @Kari-SF
    @Kari-SF 3 месяца назад +5

    In one of the last scenes Torbin has the scars we saw on the previous episode, and they don't look like they were created by a fire. I guess there was a direct confrontation between the witches and the Jedi, or at least with Torbin.

  • @quiden75

    It's long form storytelling.
    The reason you don't have all the details yet is because you have only been shown Osha's side of the story, from her vantage point. In the next 5 episodes, I guarantee you will get a complete picture.
    Also, go back and look--Torbin has a bunch of scratches on his face in the ship when Sol is consoling Osha.

    Something we shouldn't get confused about is that Anakin being special isn't that he was born without a father. As Palpatine said, Plagueis was already able to create life, so for all we know there could have been many more fatherless children like Anakin. Maybe Plagueis learned the technology from this coven, maybe the opposite. We also don't know how Anakin came to be, since there have always been a theory that the Force created Anakin as an antibody to what Plagueis was doing. But in any case, Anakin being born without a father itself didn't carry that much significance.

      Right and wrong. Plaguies is never confirmed to have made anakin nor other children. You can’t use that as an excuse to justify a HORRIBLE backstory of characters. The whole show is a self insert for Leslie and it’s sad to see

      Of course it was significant. Shmi was a human, whose reproduction is governed by certain biological principles, no different than with ourselves. That is always significant. She was also not force sensitive and had no influence over it. The Force itself chose to give her Anakin. That's doubley significant.
      Unlike Plagueis and assumingly these witches, who all wield the Force like a weapon and a tool, regardless of what they claim. Both Plagueis and these witches say THEY CREATE life. They take the Force and twists its arm. These are dark side principles. And significant in their own right.
      But Anakin being born of the Force per its design is highly significant. It's that "there's still good in you!" that ultimately helped save the galaxy.

    If you guy’s rewatch the scene in the Ship. When Osha wakes up, as soon as Sol starts to talk to her, Torbin and Indara are in the background. Look carefully. Torbin NOW has his signature scar. Which means this episode is only 1 perspective of what happened.
    There are 5 more episodes. I’m sure they will show it was a set up. I think it was a Coo leas by Mother Koril. She seems to have a vendetta against the Jedi and probably set things off.

    1. Early in the episode the generator made noise. Although it was checked out and appeared to be nothing. Including a 3 second event in this episode might be something to note.
    2. Were the events that occurred Osha's recollection? If so how much did the Jedi influence this recollection. Mae's account of the night appears different.
    3. Was Mae out of control of her body? Her eyes were very dark when she started the fire. The next day she seems confused going to the tree to find her sister. Did a Sith overtake Mae and later push an agenda that led to Mae's revenge?
    4. how much did the Jedi council know?

    I enjoy this channel’s reaction more than most for being thoughtful and the fact that you seem to be enjoying the shows rather than sitting back arms crossed with that whole “impress me” vibe. But why are all reactors hell-bent on trying to figure out the plot of a show from the first episode on? BTW I don’t recall a witch’s cackle, but one of the witches did sound a trill much like a north African or Arab woman’s ululation.

    Twins is a big thing in Star Wars. The concept of 'immaculate' conception using the Force is a thing in Star Wars (remember a little guy called Anakin?). Heck, Rashomon episodes happen in a lot of shows - but when they're odd, weird, confusing, clunky and strangely nonsensical, I can understand people being a bit lost as to the way all this was portrayed. Here's hoping it was an aberration and the writing goes back to being a little clearer...

    Hey guys i actually really really loved this episode (SPOILERS) (that gave us obviously one half of a 2 sides story), i really cant wait to see Mae's story from when she falls, and it feels like there was something way bigger out there that took out well, everyone there, not to mention we still don't know why the 4 Jedi blame themselves on such a great level for everything that happened there. (It feels like to ma a Sith Lords Hand has been at work there 16 years ago with great interest in Mae from the very beginning. I also love the knight sister/Night Mother law that's been introduced here to the group and only adds depth to the whole night sister law. So where we have not always got questions we have answered in the past shows at times, i feel that showrunner Leslye Headland might give is answers as she has specifically set up a mystery that needs things answered and not half assed answers we get from other shows at times. Last thing a personal theory, I feel the Sith Lord is already infiltrated the Jedi at this time, and i think i know who it is.
