Manny is one of the best things in recent Star Wars. His mannerism, facial expression, line delivery, swings of mood depending on the context. He truly looks like master of deception.
Her lightsaber is purple and yes it has a whip abilities.. It's mentioned and part of her character from the High Republic books. So is the fact that she gets sort of ill in hyperspace travel. Sometimes she sees visions when she travels in hyperspace as well.
Yeah, they kinda rendered it on the pink side of purple though wouldn’t you say? the same way Baylan Skolls was on the orange side of red…Mace Windu purple was a little more purply I think 🤔
@@JediJive yes. That's because lightsabers have actually tons of color variations. It was especially visible in videogames, those two would be violet and purple, or amethyst, or some other variation. One being highly saturated (Mace Windu), other being "washed out" like Vernestra's. If you would compare green and blue lightsabers, they look different in different scenes/movies/shows too. Partially because they changed the way it should look, but also possible color variants. So hard to say which way they decided to pick with the colours this time, as crystals having fixed colors are no longer canon. Same for Baylan. It looked similar to 'hot orange' color from SWToR game, that is orange-close-to-red with visibly reddish core (personally one of my favourite colours ever)
If you rewatch you will understand that Sol knew from the beginning. Plus there's a parallel between Sol-Mae and Osha-Qimir. Both sisters have similar experiences but from different perspectives.
As for Vernestra's light whip, that was also initially brought up for her character in the High Republic books. Also, light whips also appear in some of the old Legends books. One of the Sith apprentices have one in the first Darth Bane book.
If the moths are attracted to light, which we've been told clearly, why did that moth do anything?? It was daytime and it was already just relaxing and no lightsabers were on. Think it was just to reveal the whip lightsaber. (Which could be the source of The Stranger's scars).
Mando Helmets are high tech with full visibility, multi-spectrum display and scanner info like lron Man's helmet. We've seen a few shots in first person view like when Dinn and the Nightowls attack the Imperial cruiser.
The line about Vernestra feeling sick in hyperspace is a callback to the High republic books in which she usually experience deep and unsettling force visions in hyperspace
If you haven't seen The Good Place, you now understand why there's so many people who love Manny Jacinto, he has a weird attraction and giving him the Force just explains everything, lol.
Sol knew it was May from the beginning. You need to watch the scene again where he stuns her. Sol's clearly the bad guy. He turned off the comms. Basil (for our benefit) reacts that Sol is doing something out of character.
i like to think one of the first things dark side users who have teachers are taught, is to suppress any telling of the source of your connection to the force. All Sol was going by was physical features ontop of his troubled mental state, it would also explain why there are so many dark side users that get buddy buddy with jedi and no one can tell
He knew the moment he saw her oh Kohfor. He said where is your sister? Didn’t use names. He was analyzing her the whole time waiting to see what she’d doc
I can't imagine we'll have to wait more than 1 more week for the fuller picture of what happened on Brendok. Episode 3 (flashback episode) and Episode 7 are the same director. I don't mind that we don't know yet, but I agree the "teases", only to be interrupted each time, are getting annoying. Ep1: Leslye Headland Ep2: Leslye Headland Ep3: Kogonada Ep4: Alex Garcia Lopez Ep5: Alex Garcia Lopez Ep6: Hanelle Culpepper Ep7: Kogonada Ep8: Hanelle Culpepper
Im glad the finale is directed by the same director as this episode since I felt this episode actually flowed well despite the annoying parts. Should be interesting to see how the season wraps up.
@@JediJiveGreat episode, I can't wait for the 7th flashback episode where we will learn what happened from the point of view of the Jedi 16 years ago. As for the plot, it was a good setup for the last two final episodes. The unnamed planet where Kimir was, in my opinion, may be the one used in the book by Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis because of the mines on Cortosis, as we had, I can see in the episode that there was a vein of this metal on the wall. And that shot from inside the helmet reminded me that stormtroopers can barely see anything through their helmets. And with this helmet of his from Cordosis, it is also not good to see something similar to when the younglings are training, Luke trained Obi-Wan / Sabine trained Ahsoka / Rey then with the help of the Jedi scroll taught Leia from which she also learned force heal. So that the given individual concentrates mainly on strength and senses.
the theory with the Cortosis helmet at the end there is that Osha will connect with Mae right as Sol is about to explain the whole back story in nect weeks episode (the cortosis will connect the power of 2 in my guess, im sorry you guys are not enjoying the series so much im really enjoying it and there is a lot more depth to the characters and actions they have and do that you seem to be missing in the moment of watching the episode (no disrespect i love you guys) Sol even though he was distraught was holding of on the reveal of knowing Mae's deception was evident to me last week when he specifficaly said to her when he assumed she was Osha "where is your sister" rather than call Mae by name thinking that Mae was Osha, anyways i enjoyed the episode and also was a cool way for see how the seduction of the dark side can be used (similar to Dooku where dooku as a sith used the truth to try to turn someone a forced dark truth but the truth non the less, it is the jedi who dont quite tell the whole story and that ends in their destruction. either way im excited to see the 2nd part of the flash back and you get that with every good mystery. I think also Venestra was Qimirs old jedi master the lightsaber whip is the kind of mark it would leave in Qimirs back as its a burn scar mark.
Yeah, they kinda rendered it on the pink side of purple though the same way Baylan Skolls was on the orange side of red…Mace Windu purple was a little more purply I think. 🤔
This ep was more coherent, albeit the anticipation for the complete backstory can't possibly have a good enough payoff. Also noticed Pips lights switched from white to red, maybe something, but not sure this show is that smart 🤔
I'm glad you're also getting annoyed with the "I'm going to tell you everything"......random interruption/go to credits crap. I'm 100% fine if they wait until episode 7 or 8 for the reveal, but the repetitive, lazy, teases are getting old. Once or twice during the whole season is fine, but it's being done to death. Either tell us the secret or shut up about it. We don't need the same tease without a payoff over and over again.
Anyone else notice the ADR'd line "prepare these bodies for burial"? Was that done because they were literally going to leave the bodies there until someone thought "huh, that's kinda of terrible". Then they just forgot that the jedi burn their dead? This show is very poorly written.
I want a good written show about Qimir without Mae and Osha who are really boring. HIs story is much more interesting....❤ Qimir and Sol are the only reasons for me to watch the show. Greetings from Germany💕 PS: I will dream about Darth Biceps and how I will join him everywhere he invites me...😅
Glad you like the episode but to me it’s very boring and bland just because he said 1 speech so she decided or probably turn to the dark side without any hints or motives just looks and feels flat the show needs intelligent writers better dialogue like they do with house of Dragon in my opinion
she's been hinted to be vulnerable to the dark side for the entire show. his entry-level corruptions in this one episode aren't whats going to seal her fate
@@rhaenatargaryen8061 maybe just feels or shows more just like Anakin Skywalker in attack of the clones clearly you see can see why he turned to the dark side more explaining
Master Sol not recognizing Mae, is somehow a problem for the two of you let's see Darth Vader not recognizing his own daughter Leia! Or a wise Jedi Master Yoda working with a Sith Lord for decades to destroy his own organization! And this show again is a mystery of course they're going to drag it out to the very end!
Darth Vader didn’t even know he had a daughter until he was fighting with Luke at the end of return of the Jedi and Lukes thoughts betray him…and Sidious was a powerful Sith who had the specific ability to hide his force sensitivity, so these are not fair comparisons.
You clearly More well-versed in the Star Wars Universe than me, I had no idea that this was a particular Dark Side force ability that only Palpatine had, enabling him to hide himself in plain sight!Okay I'll give you that but why the hell didn't Darth Vader recognize his daughter, At least as someone who had The potential to be a powerful force user During the interrogation??Let me guess Leia also had that special power to also hide her force ability when she didn't even know she had the force at that time?? Different abilities being used at different time to suit the plot is consistent throughout Star Wars You can ask why didn't this character use this particular ability that we've seen them use in the past or will in the future Etc!!
Manny is one of the best things in recent Star Wars. His mannerism, facial expression, line delivery, swings of mood depending on the context. He truly looks like master of deception.
The part about Vernestra finding hyperspace travel "unsettling" is relevant to her character in the books. She gets hyperspace visions.
If the helmet blocks out his senses..so he fought all those Jedi blind...yoooo..this dude is bad ass on another level
