@@JediJiveWell Vernestra is a powerful character and we know she’s being strategic. She lied about Sol to keep the senate at as much of a distance as possible to reduce the amount of power they have over the Jedi. This is the right move since we know the senate is where the Sith get power over the Jedi. She was knighted at 15 and uses a lightwhip which takes incredible skill. He said it pretty clearly in other episodes. The Jedi won’t let me exist. He’s not killing regular people (apart from that store owner). And Osha killed the person who murdered her mum, and spent over a decade lying to her about it.
I enjoyed the first 7 episodes of this series quite a bit, minus some bobbles. For the most part I understood everybody's motivations even if the execution was clumsy. The cover-up made sense to me since their carelessness played a large part in what was basically a genocide of that coven. ...but this episode was a hot mess to me. Motivations all over the place and all the emotional bits fell flat. Easily my least favorite of the 8.
Qimir's ship only has two seats so either Mae or Osha must stay behind. Just because you get pissed off enough to hurt someone once doesn't mean that you're evil for all time and now you have to you have to adopt a "dark" personality, stop being dorks. The Sith aren't necessarily evil, they're simply opposed to what the Jedi teach. Since we usually see the things from the Jedi side, we associate the Sith with being the bad guys...regardless if that is true or not. Mae and Osha haven't suddenly switched around with their personalities. Mae has always been the empathic, loyal, loving one, which is why she sucked as an assassin and why she is so outraged at the fate of her family and the kidnapping of her sister. Osha has always been the selfish, shitty one with her own plans and an attitude that screams, "everyone else could go get fucked, I want what I want, and if I don't get it, I'll take my toys and go home." Osha being the hero of the story was always a red herring, and contributes to the fact that many people, myself included, didn't vibe with her. She was presented as one of the innocent good guys, but really she was the asshole all along. There is nothing weird about Qimir's behavior. Recruiting Mae involved appealing to her sense of justice and her desire for vengeance. Since she desperately wanted that, she was easy to recruit. Osha, on the other hand, is really one of the bad guys here, and she has no sense of justice or fairness, and only cares for retribution when it's for slights against herself. Qimir has to appeal to Osha's narcissism and main character syndrome, and he succeeds in this by romantically seducing her and treating her as an equal. The creepy Sith in the cave was Darth Plagueis who, at this time, is the apprentice of Darth Tenebrous. While Plagueis is the "true" apprentice of Tenebrous, there is a second, "false" apprentice. His name is Venamis (Qimir's Sith name,) although he cannot carry the "Darth" title due to Rule of Two limitations. Venamis decides to overthrow his master Tenebrous and the other apprentice, Plagueis. One of his first steps in this plan is to acquire his own apprentice to increase his power. Plagueis is spying on Venamis for his master, Darth Tenebrous, which is what the "creepy Sith in a cave" thing was all about. Tenebrous also owned a very rare cortosis mine (the one the witches lived in,) and this is where Qimir is sourcing the cortosis for his helmet and vambrace. This is also why Qimir knew so much about what happened there and what role the Jedi played in the massacre. I don't know how you guys can possibly enjoy a show when your attitude about it is, "Hey, TV show...I'm going to assume you're bad but I'll allow you to prove that you're not. Impress me."
I can see what was the makings of a pretty good story in this but the writing really let that story down. The senator scene at the beginning(ish) of this episode should have been in Ep2. I had no idea what was happening with Bazil for most of the entire show. Osha should have been with Qimir longer for that relationship to develop more 'realistically'. The Osha/Mae actor (sorry, can't think of her name) was just not good in this role at all. Nothing made me feel anything for wither of those characters the entire series. I cared more for Jecki after a one minute scene that either of them.
People hated this show mostly because Jedi are not saint...this show is watchable...the fight scenes are amazing...if there is a season 2...I hope the strory will be improved
The soup definitely didn't taste good to me either. Two lightsaber fights were pretty cool to me, but that's expected. Show wasn't for me at all but hey I'm sure some people loved it and good for them. If they do Plagueis, I hope its a totally different show and style. Thanks for always delivering on the reaction guys!
I'm tripping off y'all saying this doesn't make sense..so Anakin killing younglings after palatine tells him no Jedi can b left..there something else to this hate of this show ..I don't get it but it's not what y'all r saying..if u were a fan of the books and the prequels..this show was ok..
I can't imagine there's going to be a another season. Maybe these characters show up in a movie down the line. Kinda hope not. They spent a ton of $ and I seriously doubt this, whatever it was, brought in new subscribers
Why did Basil rip the wires to mess up the ship? And why did Sol just look at him do it? Also, after seeing everything play out in episode 7, I still feel there was no reason any of those events needed to be covered up. Everything was very straight forward.
I can definitely understand the cover-up. The Jedi were told not to intervene, yet through the carelessness of Torbin and Sol, they did. The witches obviously weren't blameless and helped escalate and provoke, but at the end of the day those Jedi were indirectly responsible for killing dozens of people.
I mean from her perspective her padawan went evil. She doesn’t know he’s a sith. I assume she dealt with him quietly but now that he’s alive she’s going to tell yoda about whatever went down with her and her padawan. The only people that know he’s a sith are all dead atm
A lot of vagueness throughout the series. The whole Sol being misunderstood and seeing what they are not aware themselves, that they were being contolled by this powerful dark force was all done to set up the 2nd season.
Poor Sol, was played by two female Jedi Masters, first Indara and then Vernestera... I would rather see a GOOD WRITTEN Sith show with Qimir and Sol without the boring twin story and the bad witch parents! Vernestra is very powerful she can manipulate even Yoda the dumb Grandmaster🤣 like every male Jedi is dumb here... You want character development? Watch House of the Dragon🥰 Greetings from Germany PS: Darth Bazil is working for Darth Plaeguis , too!
Honestly... Ita a terrible show. Nothing is really original. The writing is aweful. Not only is it a bad SW show, its just a bad show. Acting is terrible. Nothing makes sense with the way its put together. Good CGI... Thats about all this has going for it.

I cared more for Jecki after a one minute scene that either of them.
quimirs ship only seats two.
If they do a season 2 I hope they replace all the writers and do it for half as much money.
@@justaguy4402 took the words right out of my mouth. Here's to hoping they do!
@@WillRose3 Yes, that's very true. Maybe I just wished that everything was written in a stronger, more compelling way.
I mean from her perspective her padawan went evil. She doesn’t know he’s a sith. I assume she dealt with him quietly but now that he’s alive she’s going to tell yoda about whatever went down with her and her padawan. The only people that know he’s a sith are all dead atm
Yeah… the myth behind “turning to The Dark Side” is Jedi propaganda.
There are other paths to the Force besides Jedi and Sith.
You guys seem to not like any of this show, maybe skip Season 2!
someone recently said: putting in darth plagueis and yoda are like begging so bad for season 2...
Watch House of the Dragon🥰 Greetings from Germany
PS: Darth Bazil is working for Darth Plaeguis , too!
This show sucks.. everyone should unsubscribe from Disney plus.. they ruined marvel and now star wars.
Jedi have no attachment hence no friends. Peace is the lie, didn't you watch the show?
Honestly... Ita a terrible show. Nothing is really original. The writing is aweful. Not only is it a bad SW show, its just a bad show. Acting is terrible. Nothing makes sense with the way its put together. Good CGI... Thats about all this has going for it.
Honestly, your opinion is the only thing terrible about the show
@@jjv124⬆️✅
nah, this show is objectively awful. one of the worst I’ve seen in TV history
