Desi I have a chronic illness and every time I’m stuck in bed for days because of it I come back to this video it brings me so much comfort. Thank you 💕
I am 54 years old and I have several stuffed animals, some from childhood and some recently bought. I share my bed with a teddy bear named Basil. He has been a great comfort to me since my mother passed away last year, I often fall asleep cuddling him.
Can be soothing to anyone. As a parent in my 30s; I borrow my kid's sometimes and give a squeeze. Alzheimer's patients commonly use stuffed animals and dolls to help calm them. 🕊️

Wow… The first minute of this video felt like my sweet mom was speaking directly to me. She passed away this last Thursday evening after a month in the hospital. She collected teapots, it was one of the many beautiful unique things about her. The lyrics of the song broke me into pieces and comforted me at the same time. I’ve been waiting for a message from her and while it could be coincidence I’m choosing to believe it’s something more. Thank you for sharing Desi, it was a beautiful video. ❤️🫖✨
So very sorry for the loss of your precious Mother. I can empathize with you as I loss my Mother several years ago and I miss her terribly. Prayers for the healing of your heart and mind. 🙏🙏
Sending you a warm hug. Somehow you will survive this. I was you a year ago. There will be a lot of days you think about it all the time and times you will be able to smile. Desi’s videos have been a part of what has helped be build a life after losing my mom. She kind of gives you a way to learn to be happy about small things. Another friend of mine lost her mom 8 years ago and she tolled me something that helped a lot. When you feel your grief at the worst, sometimes it’s enough to just exist. It helped me get through the pain, more that hearing it will get better. It will though, it just sometimes doesn’t help to hear, cause it is so far from how you feel in the moment. Just know that you are not alone ❤️ my friend also tolled me that with time, thinking of your mom will not being you sadness, but joy over your memories ❤️
Hi, I’m Polish/Ukrainian raised in the U.K., even though I consider myself British, I have family in Ukraine and the war has been taking a toll on me mentally. Thank you for posting this video it will really help
This has truly come at a serendipitous time for me! I am in the midst of a bad flare up in my chronic illnesses and was feeling gloomy and wretched. I’ve been so discouraged that the little fixes that normally make a small difference to my health left my pain and lethargy un-dented. You are so sweet and generous! I hope you have a great week :)
I literally called off of work today for the first time in years, this video couldn’t have come at a better time. Also, I’ve been telling my friends/family about how much romanticizing my life has changed my mental state for the better. The little things truly aren’t so little, anymore. Thanks for helping me realize that. 💕
Desi is a true kindred spirit. She and Anne would have been the closest friends and there are sometimes people who come along and lift you up every day. Also, can we appreciate the STUNNING cinematography
As I've gotten busier and busier with college, I've had less and less time for things like RUclips. Something I've realized is that a lot of the content I watched was mindless-just a way to fill empty time. Desi does not make that kind of content. She is one of the few creators who bring me such genuine joy, and truly holds my attention. No matter how busy I get, I always watch her videos because she reminds me to slow down and appreciate the small things. Thanks Desi Xx
My nana died just this week and this video felt like a blessing coming at the perfect time. I really struggle to not pressure myself into being okay so this really reminded me to step back from difficult thoughts for a bit. Thank you
I’ve been struggling with chronic illness for the last 2 months and this video is such a help 🥺 Thank you for helping us find joy in the simple things. 💛

I saw the notification and without a second thought I snuggled down onto my beanbag and leaned against my cushions ready to watch. Being ill is no joke, so there’s absolutely no shame in taking your time to rest and recover at your own pace. I’m so happy to see you back and I wish you all the best ✨
This video literally has me in tears. I too am suffering with covid, it’s knocked everything out of me and I couldn’t feel less like myself if I tried. This has made me feel hopeful and uplifted and reassured that there are like minded people in the world who try to see and make life as beautiful as it can be, despite the sadness and terror that is surrounding us. So much love to a beautiful community. 💜💐😊
Desi, I’ve recently discovered your channel and I have to say: I’ve never watched a creator who made me so badly want to get up and DO things (in addition to binge watching, of course). Thank you for putting so much love into crafting your videos. You are truly inspiring others. 🥰
I’m recovering from Covid right now and this video made me cry. Before being sick, I’d distanced myself from all the lovely little things you do here (because I thought it would make my life easier and cheaper) but when I saw you reading to the trees I burst into tears. Thank you so much for making this video - now I want to get back to these little, beautiful things 💕
Going through a break up right now and Ive found that immersing myself in another era has helped distract me and keep me sane during this hard time. This video was so helpful too! Thank you! 🤍May we feel better soon and have a very happy year! I think we deserve it!
This is such a perfect characterization of some beautiful ways to show gentleness and compassion toward yourself when you are having a hard time. Self care at its finest. When things are dark, it's the small pleasures that can make a bit of light. Thank you.
I'm sick and I recently began integrating the concept of "romanticizing my life" into each day. This couldn't have been a more perfect video to watch during these times. Thank you! ❤
this couldn’t have come at a better time. my anxiety and depression are spiking along with my chronic illness, and been spending a lot of days in bed. this video made me feel a little bit better about it. 💕
I like that you read to the trees, when I’m driving through the woods sometimes, I’ll roll down my windows if I think the trees will like the song I’m listening to, and I’ll almost always sing along
I am glad you are feeling better, as someone who has been having health problems, I am so grateful for your videos they simultaneously calming and inspiring.
A lovely reminder that we can find joy even when we're struggling. I also got Covid in the beginning of January and while I was only "sick in bed" for a week or two, almost two months out I'm still dealing with getting my "normal" back. I look well from the outside, I even feel well, but lingering symptoms continue on that exhaust me. People can see the the part of me that is functioning, but can't see the extra effort it takes when, for example, I've been up most of the night trying to stop a coughing jag. It's made me reflect a lot on the hidden struggles we all deal with in one form or another.
I saved this video when it was released because I didn't need it at the time but knew it would come in handy down the line. Well, unfortunately I'm currently going through a miscarriage, so life is not the best right now. I've been in bed in pain for a few days and will be for a few more. This video seriously is helping me get through this week. I've been reading, coloring, watching feel-good shows, and making art. Also just the aesthetic of this video is so calm and pleasing! I've been rewatching this whole channel because it just makes me feel better. So thank you ❤
It's so lovely to see you again! I've been very ill after getting my booster vaccine, it's coming up on two months of being bed bound now, so I've been desperately in need of a reminder to do what I can to make every far special
I'm so sorry you have been ill so long. It can be depressing even for the most positive person. I hope you are better soon. I only had a day of being ill after my booster, but then got covid months later. Luckily I was able to get back after a few weeks. Best wishes.
Sorry you had Covid. It can be a killer for some. Good you are on the mend. I was sick for about a month. However I am now fully vaccinated, as being a senior one must be extra careful. Do live each day the best you can and always enjoy the little things.
I really resonated with this, remembering a time many years ago when I would only stay in my room and sometimes couldn’t get out of bed. I spent months with winter blues and being sad all the time. It’s a hard place to be, and I commend you Desi for getting out of bed, keeping up with your reading and even when you don’t want to go outside, you do anyway and spend it with nature. Just know, it won’t last forever, darkness always fades to light xx
This was a really wholesome video, that really inspired me to be more kind to myself and enjoy the little moment you can give yourself as a treat. You were the first video that made me aware of our own ability to romanticize your life. It doesn't just happen (sometimes maybe).. it's created. So thanks and I hope you feel well soon. All the spring flowers have arrived here, I hope they'll come your way soon
I was recently in a bad accident, and I've been recovering my ability to walk for the last two months. In that time, I've been watching your videos for comfort to ease my anxiety and to relax. Seeing that you have a new video made me so happy! I've been following your health journey too, and I wish you a quick and speedy recovery. If you have a P.O. box, I'd love to send you a care package. Happy Spring, and get well soon! 🌺✨❤️
Desi, I'm from Brazil and I've been watching your videos for about 1 or 2 years, just wanna thank you for all the kindness and love you put in them cause it's just heartwarming. My mom who doesn't speak English watches sometimes with me and she loves them too!
So sorry you've been so poorly, glad your back. Thank you for this video,so relatable to my situation and daily battle with chronic illnesses x I try to appreciate all the little things; feeling well enough to shower, watching the birds in the garden, audiobooks x
This video is so helpful and relaxing. I've been feeling anxious and depressed lately and romanticizing my life is exactly what I need right now 💕 I hope you're feeling better, lots of love 🎀
Is the baby here yet? I’m due in December and I also had some really bad nausea and fatigue and also a lot of mental health stuff going on in my first trimester. It was hard for me to enjoy my life but it’s getting better now. Hope your pregnancy is going well or you have your little baby! 🎉
@@glowyaf yes dear, my baby is now 1 month old. Keep holding on, time heals everything, and don't be afraid to ask for support. My nausea disappeared around 14 weeks and never came back!
What a timely video for me! I was diagnosed in January with several autoimmune diseases (including Rheumatoid Arthritis), so I have quite a lot of "bed parties" haha. What started as a massive bout with EBV/Mono in 2019 just continued to spiral and seems to have "activated" the AI issues...nasty things viruses! They can take quite a toll on one's physical and mental heath, but all your recommendations are just amazing for boosting one's spirits (which certainly plays a huge role in feeling better physically)! Sending lots of love and calming, restful vibes your way 💜
I'm so sorry you're still not feeling well, but like everyone else who's commented, I was SO excited to see this video pop up! And while I'm not feeling sick, this is a very relatable and helpful one. I don't necessarily live in a scenic environment where I can frolic and do all the other things like in your other videos - but these activities I can do :) Hope you feel back to normal soon!
I haven't finished watching the video but this is very comforting to watch. Have been feeling dreary for weeks and just can't seem to come out of it. The horrible state of the world has been an extra toll on the mind. Such a simple yet beautiful concept, to romanticize every moment of one's life (when possible of course, sometimes it is beyond our ability to do so). Thank you
I almost cried when I see your new upload 😭 I miss you so much 😭😭😭 so glad you’re back healthy and safe 💕💕 While I patiently wait for your new inspiring content, I watched your old videos 💓 your energy and vibes always made my day! Sometimes, it’s so healing that it feels like a free therapy session on RUclips. so, I want to thank you for coming back and keep creating wonderful soothing videos for all of us 💓💓
GIRL, you have no idea how much I missed you and thought of you (while rewatching older vids to get a bit of that Desi-spark✨🧚🏻♀️) and yearned for that notification!! So good to have you back! 😘💞 Also hoping you and Jared are better, of course! 🙏🏼
Thank you Desi for being such a wonderful person and being my comfort youtuber. Whenever I'm in a bad mood I love to come back to your videos. I hope you and Jared are doing well
You are truly a beautiful soul. To outreach to everyone when you are unwell is just so lovely of you. I most sincerely wish you a full recovery back to your normal self so soon. Thank you so much for showing us how we should take joy back to every thing, at each moment, no matter what.
I'm so sorry you've been sick. Thank you for this video, it's so helpful. I have been having a really rough few days and have been finding solace in your videos, comforting books, tea, learning to braid my hair, and learning crochet. I think romanticizing my life is good to be very necessary to get through right now.
I’m so glad to see you back, although I wish it wasn’t about you not feeling well😔 thank you for putting the effort of posting for us although you’re still not feeling well 🙏🏼 wishing for a faster recovery for you 🤍
Thank you for this! I discovered your channel yesterday and I’ve been having a tough year. You have inspired me to start reading, doing puzzles, and making art again… and romanticizing my life. Last night I baked with my vintage Pyrex and watched a comfort movie and I’m looking forward to going to the library.
Thank you for making this for us, even though you're not feeling 100%. Your videos are like a warm hug that I really needed. Hope you continue to feel better x
I feel you girl i was stuck in bed during months at the pic of the pandemic when the entire world was in lockdown and i was very very sick, praying every nights to not have to go to the hospital, it was so difficult and i thought I was dying. But when I was healed it was the best moment of my life. So grateful! ❤
Dearest Desi, This video came at just the right time for me. Earlier this week I suffered from a depressive period. They aren't very common for me and I spent a lot of time wondering why I just couldn't get over it. Seeing you take a rough period a spin it into something better was really inspiring. Thank you.
Hi, I stumbled upon this video a week ago but didn't know how much I needed it. Recently, I got sick and now I'm looking back at this video and appreciate it so much. It's definitely hard to find happiness around such a dark time many of us face, but you have given me hope. I've just started taking things at my own pace. I hope you have fully recovered. Thank you for making this video, Desi!
what a magical video! i am currently getting over a cold and this has encouraged me to get out of bed and just enjoy life to the best of my ability. thank up for the beautiful videos desi! 💗✨☘️
i hope you’ll be feeling absolutely good soon. thank you, desi, your videos are just the best escape…i haven’t been feeling the best mentally and this video helped so much to make me feel a lot more at peace and mindful. thank you & gonna try my best to focus on the little romanticised parts of my days again. ☁️🤍 take care! xxx
Thank you for such a wonderful video. I’ve had ME since I was a kid but relapsed in 2020 and haven’t been able to work since. It’s lovely seeing a video I can relate to so much, especially the vitamins and when you cracked out the jigsaw as for a long time that was one of the only things I could do! Sending best wishes for your recovery 💜
Thank god you're back! ❤️ I got emotional a couple of times because it made my inner child so happy to see someone else genuinely enjoy and focus on the small things. Not to achieve or earn anything just to enjoy life and yourself in it 🦋
Thank you for the peaceful vibes. I went through major surgery a couple of weeks ago, and recovery so far has been a bit tricky, even though I am very grateful for feeling better and more appreciative than before for what I have. I hope you feel better soon and keep your high spirits!
Relating to this so much right now!! I'm on day 5 of covid :( it's definitely getting better but thank God for my cozy floral duvet and my cats. Videos like this help. Blessings♡
desi, your videos are a safe space in a world of chaos, and always help to put in a better mindset. would you ever consider creating a 'how i keep my bedroom clean video'? your space always looks so welcoming and free of clutter and i would love to know your secrets
As someone with quite a delibitating chronic illness I needed this video so much and I just already know I'll come back to this video whenever I need it an extra bit more. Thank you Desi as always and sending you all strength, love and good healing vibes your way 💜💜💜
Thank you for showing REALITY!!! Medications, depression, recovery time, “un-productivity”…. You are a true teacher of this slice of wisdom you carry for the world. Thank you. Love, Paige from Texas
This panini man!!! so many open ups, shut downs, ill and dying but I thank God each day I'm grateful for motivation from vunerable and sweet princesses like Desi. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORT
It's so good to have you back! I've been praying for you and your husband's health and wishing you a speedy recovery! I had covid too, and I know it's awful!! Get better soon and take all the time you need, dear! I did want to also say a great video idea would be for you to recommend some of your favorite youtubers! Ones similar to yourself? 🤗
I couldn't have watched this video at a better time. I am 7 weeks post-op from a total knee replacement and my recovery has been one of the most arduous journeys I've ever been on. I've had days of frustration, tears and depression, wondering if I'll ever be normal again. Watching this has made me take a deep breath and a pause from my worrisome thoughts. I thank you for this and truly hope you are feeling better and stronger every day. Sending love. ❤
I just got knocked out for half a week by the flu and have been dreading all the work I have to do for finals. Thank you for this video and all the rest! You always manage to speak to my introverted soul and the part of me that just wants to run through a field of wildflowers or snuggle into a blanket with a good book. Your videos always remind me to take a breath and just enjoy life the best I can 🙂
Desi this was such a treat and one of my favorite videos you've ever made. I wont say feel better soon because your body will move at it's own pace and feeling better shouldn't be the goal (some never feel better and their human existence is just as important and valid). I'm glad to see you holding space for what you feel and nurturing where you are at. I hope you'll savor the moments of joy, peace, calm, melancholy and tranquility you find in this down time chapter.
I've also been unwell for the last year and a half. Your videos help me to feel better, and to be gentler with myself as I work towards being healthy again. Thank you for your lovely videos! Hope you feel better soon 💖
Awe. It was nice to see you again! Wonderful video with a thoughtful message. I think making space to acknowledge you’re down is important, while also trying to move forward with positivity and self care mentally and physically. Your parting thoughts at the end hit me in the feels. 💜📚
Thank you for the work you put into everything you make. Your love for what you do is obvious, which is what makes your channel and personal journey so compelling, enchanting, and all in all beautiful
This was such a lovely video and really spoke to me. I first discovered your content when I was very ill, and I cannot tell you how much joy you brought to my life. You helped me see the beauty in things I had been ignoring before. This video is still very relavent to me (as I am still sick) and is a good reminder to enjoy the little things in life. Thank you! Feel better
this is the first video of yours I've watched...and WOW. You put so much care and thought into your videos: the camera angles, the shots, etc. Not to mention, everything about this video just made me feel cozy and happy. I also really appreciated the quote you ended the video with, and I've been trying to find the video of his that the quote is from!
I'm having covid as well and I'm not allowed to go outside. It's so easy to fall into self pity and think of your days as wasted. But this video cheered me up a lot, thank you so much! And to everyone else who is struggling right now, get help, it doesn't mean you're weak, it's actually the opposite. You can do this!

I love your channel, Iv´e been having kind of an existential crisis recently, been feeling stresst about different things etc. When I watch your videos it´s like something tells me that everything is going to be alright. It gives me this sense of calm and I feel better, thank you
So lovely to see your posts again. I've been checking daily. Glad to see you've spent time to recuperate mentally and physically. People always forget to look after themselves holistically. Take care and keep up your amazing work.
your absence has definitely been felt-- i kept finding myself saying, "wow i miss desi" since the last time i saw one of your videos! i'm so sorry you've been dealing with illness and that it's lingered this much. wishing you a speedy recovery going forward, and i hope we see you again soon! :)
As usual for me this time of year, I'm craving the return of spring. This winter I've been re-evaluating my 'self talk'. Usually I feel slower, more solemn and somber, maybe even stoic, which I've associated with being 'not like my usual self'. But I've been trying to reframe it. Nature goes into hibernation in winter, while our ever bustling society doubles down on efficiency and productivity. I'm trying to remove morals from my emotions. I'm relearning how to be steady in my self worth, and how not to give up on myself if I stumble or fall down. Even if I'm unwell physically or mentally. Sending you love and strength for your continued recovery Desi
This was so soothing! I’m stuck in bed after my wisdom teeth removal and you inspired me to treat this mandatory rest with more love and lightness. Thank you for that 🧡

I’ve been wondering if her illness is not from long covid but the booster….
I've been sick for the past two weeks and I just keep rewatching this video. It's such a comfort. 💙
It’s so sweet when a follower would like to send a care package. It really feels like a community.
Desi, I'm from Brazil and I've been watching your videos for about 1 or 2 years, just wanna thank you for all the kindness and love you put in them cause it's just heartwarming. My mom who doesn't speak English watches sometimes with me and she loves them too!
As someone who is chronically ill, I needed this video. Thank you ❤️
So sorry you've been so poorly, glad your back.
Been struggling with nausea and fatigue in my first trimester of pregnancy, and your video gave me a little hope and comfort. Thank you
Is the baby here yet?
Sending lots of love and calming, restful vibes your way 💜
I hear you,take care x
@@Julie-si3hi thank you and you as well 💜
I'm so sorry you're still not feeling well, but like everyone else who's commented, I was SO excited to see this video pop up!
Thank you
ive been bed ridden for the past 24 hours feeling so awful from my chronic illness. thank you for this video ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I almost cried when I see your new upload 😭 I miss you so much 😭😭😭 so glad you’re back healthy and safe 💕💕
While I patiently wait for your new inspiring content, I watched your old videos 💓 your energy and vibes always made my day! Sometimes, it’s so healing that it feels like a free therapy session on RUclips. so, I want to thank you for coming back and keep creating wonderful soothing videos for all of us 💓💓
Awww same I miss her videos
GIRL, you have no idea how much I missed you and thought of you (while rewatching older vids to get a bit of that Desi-spark✨🧚🏻♀️) and yearned for that notification!! So good to have you back! 😘💞
Also hoping you and Jared are better, of course!
I’m so glad to see you back, although I wish it wasn’t about you not feeling well😔 thank you for putting the effort of posting for us although you’re still not feeling well 🙏🏼 wishing for a faster recovery for you 🤍
I hated to see this video end. She's helped me heal so much (from recent losses and pain). I praise God for her.
Dearest Desi,
This video came at just the right time for me.
So happy to see you post Desi! Hoping you & your husband quickly feel back to normal & thanks so much for sharing your journey with us!
what a magical video! i am currently getting over a cold and this has encouraged me to get out of bed and just enjoy life to the best of my ability. thank up for the beautiful videos desi! 💗✨☘️
i hope you’ll be feeling absolutely good soon. thank you, desi, your videos are just the best escape…i haven’t been feeling the best mentally and this video helped so much to make me feel a lot more at peace and mindful. thank you & gonna try my best to focus on the little romanticised parts of my days again.
This is definitely a reminder we all need to hear. Thank you for this! You’ve been our thoughts and prayers, continue to get well Desi💕💕
Your videos are a hug that I needed, a kind word, a reminder of who I am and always will be inside, the small child in me. The comfort.
You’re so strong to share your struggles and what helped you! Thank you so much, Desi! Love you and praying for your recovery 💚
Thank you Desi as always and sending you all strength, love and good healing vibes your way 💜💜💜
A feel good video. People like u make the world a better place my darling
watching this video felt like the warm long hug I desperately needed ❤
I almost started tearing up when I saw that you had a new video out I’m so happy you’re back! ❤️
This is just what I needed today. I’m so very glad you are on the mend. Thank you for lighting up the hard day I was having. I’ve missed you!
you have no idea how much I needed that. I’ve been feeling quite depressed and anxious and those tips helped a lot to see a silver lining. Thank you 🧡
Thank you for the work you put into everything you make.
Thank you! Feel better
Struggling after Covid as well. This video was so comforting I played it over and over. Im hoping you will be feeling more like your old self soon.
This is going to be so helpful for people with chronic illness 💜
I suffer from depression and especially in the colder months i struggle immensely. Thank you so much for this!
Yay! You posted!! 🥰 I hope your feeling better! 🥺🙏 I LOVE watching your videos!!
this is the first video of yours I've watched...and WOW. You put so much care and thought into your videos: the camera angles, the shots, etc. Not to mention, everything about this video just made me feel cozy and happy. I also really appreciated the quote you ended the video with, and I've been trying to find the video of his that the quote is from!
Ahhh thank you so much!! 💕 And for the quote at the end, I linked Cameron’s tiktok in the description! The quote is from one of his earliest videos :)
You can do this!
your videos are truly so comforting, especially in these hard winter months🤍
I have covid since today, from the nursing home I work at😭 the last weeks we’re so so stressful with the outbreak there… thank you so much for this! This video is like balm for the soul!
Thank you for working in aged care. Hope you recover soon.
What an amazing mental health day. Reading, your favorite shows, yummy food! Just watching this makes me feel better already
The timing though.
RUclips is fr sending me the chills. Like this video is suddenly recommended to me, and it's just so timely. 🤧😌
Omg Desi!! I never clicked on a video so fast hehe I know this was a lot of work for you to make, thank you 🤍✨
This video was so comforting, it felt like a warm hug or the first sunbeams of spring!
Your videos always feel so comforting and never fail to leave me feeling relaxed and happy. Hope you and Jared are starting to feel a bit better 💜
Omg Desiiiiiiii !!! I missed you and your videos!! So excited to watch this!!! 🥺💝
your absence has definitely been felt-- i kept finding myself saying, "wow i miss desi" since the last time i saw one of your videos! i'm so sorry you've been dealing with illness and that it's lingered this much. wishing you a speedy recovery going forward, and i hope we see you again soon!
Thank you for that 🧡
This was so needed! Thank you for always sharing the beauty & hope of life even amidst the hard days!💕🤗🌷
Thank you for this video Desi. Remember, you are loved! And so is everyone here. 🥰
