I'm on my second playthrough and never had that problem. In fact I have it paused on my other monitor as I type this and still have no idea how anyone has an issue with picking flowers or opening sacks. Spamming E and space in an area with loot instantly grabs everything in .5 seconds.

@@PredatorH2O Lol - it IS a good game, but it is far from be better than W3. Story is meh (in DD), there is almost no characterization of even main characters, and there is like 10, maybe 12 enemy types? And of course, not a very big map. And that grinding!

you forgot to mention the fact that in the cutscenes he jumps around like crazy, gets torn apart by claws and swords without losing any health but soon as you fall down a 40cm ladder he dies
I started playing this game in November and finally beat it a few weeks ago. It took me 300 hours including the Hearts of Stone DLC. I did every secondary quest, treasure hunt, and contract I came across and went to every question mark on the map. I've never played the other Witcher games or read the books. In fact I had never even heard of the Witcher series before The Witcher 3 came out but The Witcher 3 ended up being the greatest RPG I have ever played and I might even say its the best game I have ever played. I'm going to start Bood and Wine at some point but for right now I'm taking a break from the game.
That's hard to say. have you ever played an RPG before? The Witcher 3 is a story heavy action RPG with lots of choices that affect the game and determines what ending you get. It also has a huge open world for you to explore and you can do what you want when you want. There's lots of character customization with lots of different pieces of armor that have their own stats and abilities; same with the swords. There are no guns in this game because of the time period it takes place in. You do have a crossbow though that you can use different kinds of bolts with that have their own effects, for example the exploding bolt explodes when you shoot it at something. But the crossbow isn't all that useful so you won't use it much. It's main use is for attacking flying creatures. Then there's different kinds of bombs and magic. You're horse, Roach is your only mode of transportation and you can give it equipment too like blinders and saddles. The game has fast travel so you don't have to rely only on Roach to get to places. There's real time beard growth and you can go to a barber to get a haircut and a shave. There's free DLC that adds different hair and beard styles for you to get at the barber. And speaking of free DLC this game has a lot of it: quests, different outfits for some of the main characters, Gwent cards, etc. And the paid DLC is worth every penny. CD Project Red is one of the few developers that do DLC right. And since you play GTA I'll mention there are women you can romance and have sex with throughout the story and when you get to Novigrad there are brothels where you can pay to have sex with prostitutes. You can even talk to them and learn a little bit about them before you bang'em. I almost forgot to mention there's horse races, fist fighting tournaments, and a card game called Gwent that also has tournaments. You can build different decks and you can get more cards by wining them from other players or buying them from merchants. So if that sounds interesting to you then go for. I'd say its a good idea to look at a video of some game play to also help you decide.

"Thrill as you haggle with hungry poor villagers." That's basically what 90% of the contracts in this game are lmfao. And then it has the audacity to ask you if you want to let the villagers keep their gold for their loved ones.
Lmfao and the best part of this game is when you get drunk with lambert and eskel. I've never laughed that hard at a video game. "Dude we should use that micro-scope yennifer has. You know to summon the lodge. We can invite that girl, she can summon a few of her friends. Lambert, you're a genius. Hell yeah, summon the bitches!" "Wait, what if they get scared because it's not yennifer? Hm, good idea. We should put on yennifer' clothing that way they'll come. Lambert you're so smart!" And then yennifer comes in and yells at Geralt. That's only a few lines. If you haven't played the game and you want a laugh watch the whole scene.
BlackHawkRA Yea I'm about to find this mod that normalizes merchants and makes them not suck, on that note. Motherfuckers charging 1000 orens for a shit recipe I don't even need but giving me 38 orens for an epic sword, fuck off. Game has the same absurd merchant problems as Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
First one was way ahead of it's time and amazing, second one added the graphical finesse, 3rd one just put every other games developed that time around the world in shame... The best game series ever...

But you can keep it and import it into the second game... and the third game as well ;). Seriously, there are so many small details in witcher 3,its absolutely crazy! :)

I'm not sure if I should wait 7 years for the full show so I can experience the story for the first time chronogically, or if I should just do the games after watching season 1.
Madmonkeman the games you won’t experience anything like, trust me play it, the show story wise isn’t copy paste but the characters interactions you’ll appreciate more plus you’ll understand so much more Easter eggs along the way too

Regardless, there isn't really any sex portrayed at ALL in Star Wars, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
@@JR-pf9in I never save after completing HIGH STAKES. It's the only challenging GWENT Tournament in the whole game. Also punching the crap out of that racist 1/2 elf Finnis is so satisfying. I did manage to complete the Gwent collection. i was surprised that Olgierd card wasn't a hero card.
I think it's part of the Bloody Baron questline, you have to get the goat that was scared off by some dudes trying to kill the owner who was a fortune teller or something, in return, the owner will help you find the baron's wife and daughter and then the baron will tell you about Ciri. But this is just a fraction of the questline and there is way more crap to do and more fucking obstacles. It also involves a miscarriage.
i think its one of 2 ways for the main quest, but then you never complete the bloody baron, and you have to at some point to progress the siren one, i think, fuck this game is complicated.
Personally, I think there is no reason for skipping Witcher 1. Even for folks playing the later games on consoles, by current standard you can run Witcher 1 on virtually any PC, that you probably own for office work/Internet reasons. And, if you can get past the part ingenious, part boring combat system, dated graphics and ocassional running around, you are in for a treat, trust me.
CrazyChemistPL The game is awesome. Actually, I think everyone should go one step further and read the books; at least the first one, The Last Wish. You will get hooked and will want to try the rest of the books anyway :]

Richardsen Yes, indeed I'm Polish (I also hate my youtube username, but Polish translation of this username which is my usual nick was sadly already taken). I believe the English translation for the final books (Tower of the Swallow, Lady of the Lake and, for some bizarre reason, Sword of Destiny) are being released within next 2 years, which is great news all things considered. Sadly though, both Witcher 2 and 3 spoiled pretty significant elements of the saga already (Witcher 2 - circumstances of Geralt's not-really-death, Witcher 3 - the fact that Emhyr is Ciri's father).
CrazyChemistPL Good news for the fans of the game, then, although I feel like they could have garnered a great success if they had manage to make it in time for the release of the third installment. But I am just being picky; we should be giving thanks both to Sapkowski for crafting these masterpieces and to CD Projekt Red for achieving what most thought it would be impossible, specially consiering who they were prior to The Witcher: nobody (as developers)
I'm ashamed but I gotta agree on that "books you've never read and games you've never played sequel" I got this game two days ago and well... That's all I need, including eating once so I have strength to keep playing.

This is a 40 hr adventure game, if that (maybe 30) and could still have all the endings. It's not a monster hunter game, its a linear story in a world of political intrigue game and thats where it should stay. I don't want to walk through the rest of the game to get there...
Chronologically yeah. Many people start on Blood of Elves because that is when the books are more... Novel-like. Whereas The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny are a collection of stories.
David Mobeck ah, i see. yeah that makes sense, i'm about 30% done with the book and it's just been a bunch of short stories so far, but i'd rather read it in chronological order.
The snowball fight is actually one of the most important parts of the game. Playing that scene, amongst a couple of others, is what Ciri remembers before her 'heroic deed', it then determines her survival and ultimately gives you a happy ending!
Best game I've ever played. My fiance thought the game was sexist. Probably because each time she'd see the game, Geralt would happen to be getting busy. She didnt realize that I had to put in my time; several hours in fact, per girl! Oh well. lol
+Adrian van koeveringe These are just my opinions but in order from worst to best- Halo 3, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, The Witcher 3. Again I personally believe these are the games I've played that I've enjoyed the most. However, the Witcher has beat these by a landslide

"Thrill as you haggle with hungry poor villagers." That's basically what 90% of the contracts in this game are lmfao. And then it has the audacity to ask you if you want to let the villagers keep their gold for their loved ones.
Lmfao and the best part of this game is when you get drunk with lambert and eskel. I've never laughed that hard at a video game. "Dude we should use that micro-scope yennifer has. You know to summon the lodge. We can invite that girl, she can summon a few of her friends. Lambert, you're a genius. Hell yeah, summon the bitches!" "Wait, what if they get scared because it's not yennifer? Hm, good idea. We should put on yennifer' clothing that way they'll come. Lambert you're so smart!" And then yennifer comes in and yells at Geralt. That's only a few lines. If you haven't played the game and you want a laugh watch the whole scene.

@@JR-pf9in I never save after completing HIGH STAKES. It's the only challenging GWENT Tournament in the whole game. Also punching the crap out of that racist 1/2 elf Finnis is so satisfying. I did manage to complete the Gwent collection. i was surprised that Olgierd card wasn't a hero card.

I think it's part of the Bloody Baron questline, you have to get the goat that was scared off by some dudes trying to kill the owner who was a fortune teller or something, in return, the owner will help you find the baron's wife and daughter and then the baron will tell you about Ciri. But this is just a fraction of the questline and there is way more crap to do and more fucking obstacles. It also involves a miscarriage.

Personally, I think there is no reason for skipping Witcher 1. Even for folks playing the later games on consoles, by current standard you can run Witcher 1 on virtually any PC, that you probably own for office work/Internet reasons. And, if you can get past the part ingenious, part boring combat system, dated graphics and ocassional running around, you are in for a treat, trust me.
CrazyChemistPL The game is awesome. Actually, I think everyone should go one step further and read the books; at least the first one, The Last Wish. You will get hooked and will want to try the rest of the books anyway :]

I believe the English translation for the final books (Tower of the Swallow, Lady of the Lake and, for some bizarre reason, Sword of Destiny) are being released within next 2 years, which is great news all things considered. Sadly though, both Witcher 2 and 3 spoiled pretty significant elements of the saga already (Witcher 2 - circumstances of Geralt's not-really-death, Witcher 3 - the fact that Emhyr is Ciri's father).
CrazyChemistPL Good news for the fans of the game, then, although I feel like they could have garnered a great success if they had manage to make it in time for the release of the third installment. But I am just being picky; we should be giving thanks both to Sapkowski for crafting these masterpieces and to CD Projekt Red for achieving what most thought it would be impossible, specially consiering who they were prior to The Witcher: nobody (as developers)

this game would own it if it just dealt with chasing Ciri through a series of set levels and you just map in and out of areas as needed, forget all the intrigue and side-bits. it bogs itself down in its own importance and story.
This is a 40 hr adventure game, if that (maybe 30) and could still have all the endings. It's not a monster hunter game, its a linear story in a world of political intrigue game and thats where it should stay. I don't want to walk through the rest of the game to get there...

Chronologically yeah. Many people start on Blood of Elves because that is when the books are more... Novel-like. Whereas The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny are a collection of stories.

The snowball fight is actually one of the most important parts of the game. Playing that scene, amongst a couple of others, is what Ciri remembers before her 'heroic deed', it then determines her survival and ultimately gives you a happy ending!
