The very first time I played Skyrim, I just got to Riverwood following Ralof. I didn't know what to do next. So I walked around and I saw a chicken. I thought, "Hey I wanna test this mace that I found on the way out of the cave". Then I saw everyone in town chasing after me. So I ran while everyone is following me. I saw a cool looking skull in my compass so I followed it. Then I saw giants getting mad and killed everyone following me. I stopped to look at him and smacked my to the heavens in one blow. Best 15 minutes of my life.
I originally bought this game for the epic glitches. I still get teary-eyed on beautiful, starry nights as I stand on a hill and watch mammoths appear in the sky and float gently down to the earth.
Took me 3 years to do the main storyline, because I'd always get distracted with a side quest or just killing everybody in a village because some kid insulted me.
I think that it may be because the main story did not give me a sense of urgency to complete it - the stakes seemed to not be that high. I could kill dragons relatively easily so why would more of them be any more of a threat? I never saw towns leveled because of my inaction. I had no motivation to take down Alduin because what he was doing did not merit immediate action. I would say that for me personally, the Mass Effect games did a great job of making me want to complete the main story. Bethesda has done it before with Fallout 3 (mainly because I wanted to f___ with the Enclave's plan). Its just that with Skyrim, they failed to make me invested in the main story.

I end up reaching the Meadery near Whiterun and the guards try to kill me. I died 3 times before figuring out that putting down your weapons allows them to arrest you which I allowed and served my sentence and came back and then I go back to Riverwood to watch the corpses of Alvor and Sigrid still in their house. Finally, until I finally had money to purchase Breezehome, I used their house chest as a means to store my items
Darkman9000 Charles Martinet does not voice the main dragon Alduin, moron. That voice was done by Daniel Riordan. Charles Martinet voices the dragon in the Greybeards mountain.
At least in modern games, you need not worry about accidentally stealing something or attacking someone. _Tries to get on horse in RDR2, instead bodyslams a nearby woman... entire city now trying to kill you_
Man I feel you, try to talk to the npc while the weapon is drawn and accidentally hit him when I try to skip the dialogue, literally every guards in the erea want my head
I started playing morrowind and accidentally stole like a cabbage and put it back and then I was just on the run, they wouldn't accept my yield, they just kept killing me.
I tried it and I was like, well guess you can only catch them...and also can you believe that after 160+ hours of playing I finally found M'AIQ I KNOW RIGHT? LIKE I heard that he spawns randomly after the first mission, how comes I found it when I was roaming as a werewolf and tried to kill him, saw that he is invincible and then I wait to turn into human again and guess what ITS FUCKING M'AIQ and I was level 50-70(somewhere around there) I'm still playing it and found M'aiq only 3 times...in 190 hours of gameplay now(yes yes the game came out 5 years ago...had a crappy PC back then and heard about it in 2012 on a TV channel but still couldn't play it...
@@reeser.8429 Let's not forget coming down from the Cloud District in Whiterun only to have Nazeem ask if you've ever been to the Cloud District before.
Rien B. In my first play through i sided with the storm cloaks and destroyed white run...I didn't think the choices you made would result in a city burning down
So has over watch, call of duty, minecraft, hello neighbor, and many other and they have been both around longer and shorter and nobody really complains about them so why does a game I enjoy get slandered all the time?
That's your choice to make yourself miserable by not trying to associate with them. I just enjoy the franchise for the characters. I don't actually play the games. I just do what everyone else does and watches markiplier play it. I still like the Mystery and lore.
That's what the game was sold on. Humans vs dragons. Take that out and what do you have? Random quests and the character just trying to peacefully resolve the feud between humans and dragons. Boring
CryogenicWaif I know it is. But the whole game is sold on HUMANS VS DRAGONS. How could you side with them when all they want to do is conquer and destroy all the living or whatever evil they do. There'd be no conflict if you sided with them.
NJA2k8 guess that kinda true but the DRAGONborn has the soul of a DRAGON can speak in the DRAGON tongue but spends all his time running around killing dragons lol
CryogenicWaif Well he is born just like any other race then finds out he has the blood of dragons. Dragonborn was just to make the player feel like they were the chosen one and doing all this dragon slaying was the prophecy as they are the only one to do so
Ride a dragon.. ? Yeah, if you're happy aimlessly flying around doing nothing but watching a 20 tonne wyvern spend 15 minutes trying to kill a skeever.
@@shadeslayer6374 wrong well right kinda the wyvern in the elder scrolls is a cousin to the dragon and is very much a poison frost or fire breathing lizard
During my first playthrough when I was young and stupid, Ralof said "I think we should part ways" after leaving the cave so I ran off and never even discovered riverwood. I made it to Dawnstar and broke into the apothecary and stood there doing Alchemy while the woman yelled at me to get out.
Oh man, this brings back memories... I wouldn't trade the time I've spent playing Skyrim for any other game. Even now after years, Skyrim is the most fun I've ever had playing a video game, with sooo much stuff to do and explore. We need more games like this.
The Minecraft Meerkat On the one hand it's overused, on the other hand, if it wasn't this omnipresent in the internet, I still wouldn't know that "I took an arrow to the knee" is an euphemism for the bad sentence "I got married".
Oh my god, so true about the followers. I'm still in the early stages, so I occasionally run off while my follower does most of the damage then I get all the praise and rewards. I feel really guilty. Now I'm married to my follower so he also makes me dinner and gives me money.
I wish in Skyrim you could have teamed up with Alduin. You do have the soul of a dragon after all. Should have had an evil play through option for the main story.
This is so accurate. Only two of my characters ever got around to finishing the story because they were made for it. The rest are bogged down in sidequests.
I have around 300h of gameplay with dozens of characters just for creation and maybe one or two mods I have newly put in and a handful of sidequests. And nearly 50 characters just for the first 2h of game in every possible play style and mods used... Totally worth it
I got out of helgen level 18 with my sneak 100 without any cheats or console commands or so whatever..just attack your companion while in sneak mode(attack him where youre going to sneak out for the bear)
@@feat.notdayno If you're going to sit there and whack the dude for 40+ minutes, you might as well just pop open the console and just give yourself 100 sneak. It's basically the long way of doing the same thing.
become the Dragonborn! a hero who speaks the language of dragons! uses the ancient magic of dragons! and has the soul of a dragon! but spends all of his time murdering dragons. sorry, brah. XD
riding a Dragon is totally worth it, however even more if you have the Mod: Skyrim Expanded oh makes flying around like so much better than horse or fast travel
I play as a firemage, and like to keep some distance from the enemy and cast fireballs at them. Until Lydia runs in front of me and gets herself killed. Loaded savegames a few times to save her, but gave her up after killing her too many times.
As someone who's played perhaps around 1200-1300 hours on this game with no mods, I can tell you this is one of the greatest things I've ever seen involving skyrim
Did you guys know that the term "I use to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee," It doesn't actually mean they got shot in the knee. It is an old nordic saying that means they settled down and got married.
"Starring Lion-o, reptile--" -sips some lucozade- "peon, Triple H" -almost chokes you death- I AM SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT HE LOOKED LIKE TRIPLE H
I usually dislike elves and dragons and all that bullshit medieval stuff but this is truly the best game ever. I just bought the game two weeks ago and did nothing with my life but play this game from when i woke up till i fell alseep. Even my dreams were about skyrim. Did anyone have this addiction? I fell like a loser when i finish mostly everything in this game and accomplished nothing in the lame real world.
I am just gonna have a quick one hour gaming sit down. What am I going to play? Skyrim? Meh, why not. *16 hours later* Welp, thats 2 levels achieved. EDIT: Holy shit people are still liking this? Damn.
I worked only weekends at the time so on a Monday I'd start playing from 10 in the morning then sleep at 4 Monday night/Tuesday morning and repeat the process over again... had no time for bitches 😂
I've never actually 'finished' the game, or any of the DLC. It's because I played with so many immersive mods, like Frostfall on Hardcore, Hunterborn, and Realistic Needs and Diseases. So instead of just Teleporting to quest marker, do quest, then going back to quest starter to turn it in, I have to go out and hunt, because of what I eat and drink, take supplies and plan for a trip taking ingame days. Basically instead of taking it questline by questline, I am playing it day by day. Every single day is unique and some time all I do in a single 'day' is just go out, hunt, and return back home.

The main dragon is voiced by the guy who plays Mario.
Let that sink in.
The guy who ""voices"" Mario.Mario is a video game character. And the main dragon is Alduin.
Sanka Mihiranga
Plays means the same damn thing.
Darkman9000 Actually, that's not true. I read this IMDB profile, and he never appeared in any Mario Games
Brandon Jimkern
Except he did. Charles is the voice of Mario, it's not up for debate.
Darkman9000 Charles Martinet does not voice the main dragon Alduin, moron. That voice was done by Daniel Riordan. Charles Martinet voices the dragon in the Greybeards mountain.

What's wrong with liking FNAF?
So has over watch, call of duty, minecraft, hello neighbor, and many other and they have been both around longer and shorter and nobody really complains about them so why does a game I enjoy get slandered all the time?
That's your choice to make yourself miserable by not trying to associate with them. I just enjoy the franchise for the characters. I don't actually play the games. I just do what everyone else does and watches markiplier play it. I still like the Mystery and lore.

Danny Caracciolo
Did you download the race compatibility for the Dragonborn DLC?
I really wish they would give you the option to side with the dragons
That's what the game was sold on. Humans vs dragons. Take that out and what do you have? Random quests and the character just trying to peacefully resolve the feud between humans and dragons. Boring
NJA2k8 its still a fun game I just wish that option was available
Still worth it!
Bethesda screwed that up I wish you could steer them or give them direction and order different attacks.

I fell like a loser when i finish mostly everything in this game and accomplished nothing in the lame real world.
Yes I had it.
I am just gonna have a quick one hour gaming sit down. What am I going to play? Skyrim? Meh, why not.
*16 hours later*
Welp, thats 2 levels achieved.
EDIT: Holy shit people are still liking this? Damn.
I did. In fact I'm hardcore Skyrim fan. Only want to play skyrim. Not really interested in anything else.
This narrator is so sick & funny. That sneaking part nailed it🤣🤣
