I’ve watched it again, played all three games and just bought the book serie
”Highly trained mutant killing machines, who every moron in the land wants to pick a fight with for some reason...”
Basically every single enemy of Geralt in books and games.
I love the the ending fight in the first witcher short story book (I think it was there) when Geralt was leaving the temple of Melitele and the knights that were harassing him to leave and Geralt had to fight one of them. Geralt had the choice of either not hitting the knight with his sword and letting the knight win, or win the fight and be arrested. So Geralt just struck the knight's sword so hard that the knight just hit himself, and Geralt was free to go.
It was, in The Last Wish, I just read it a couple months ago.
Seriously! I feel like it's a little better in the books because there are a few people who can genuinely match Geralt in fighting strength, and there are less petty criminals trying to kill him, but it's still astounding how many people think they can kill geralt in a straight fight.
@@archonjk1196 Yeah I like when he shows up in the Witcher 2 and 3, still pretty bitter about the scar that Geralt made him give himself.
"Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed witcher, i'll never understand. Something wrong with my face?" Geralt of Rivia

That's actually the main theme of the books and the game...

It's impossible to describe The Witcher more accurately than "Tries to be Game of Thrones, winds up being Xena, turns out I'm still here for it."
"Geralt comes across a problem he doesn't want to get involved in, then totally gets involved in it," is also pretty accurate.
Except that it doesn't try to be Game of Thrones at all, the only one's making the "Will the show be new GoT?" etc. comparisons are media and content creators fishing views referring to popular show which only has in common a genre of fantasy, of which it is different sub-genre.
I don't know, I dont think it was the intent of anyone involved in making it to make it Game of Thrones, so I think it'd be more accurate to say "Everyone thought it would be Game of Thrones, was actually Xena all along, turns out we're still here for it"
Finally, something we can watch together!

It is not a comedy. But that makes the comedic moments hit that much harder. I legit laughed out loud many times while watching by myself. Which is definitely praise-worthy. It is easier to collectively laugh at something when viewing with friends. But if a show can make you chuckle loudly when watching by yourself(especially a fantasy action/drama) - then that is great writing.
