Ingredients
Enough oil for frying
15-18 Corn Tortillas (Guerrero)
4 medium Russet potatoes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Warm Salsa
1 large tomato or 2 Roma tomatoes
2 tsp Mexican oregano
1 Serrano
1 Jalapeño
Juice of half lime or lemon
Cilantro and salt to taste (start with 1 tsp salt if unsure)
Optional toppings-
finely chopped cabbage or lettuce
Cotija cheese or your favorite cheese 😁

My favorite way to cook/eat potatoes, they’re a huge hit at fiestas. We like to add one (1) tablespoon of powdered chicken bouillon to the mash. I serve the tacos with purple cabbage, crema, queso fresco, salsa verde and limon. LOVE your videos megababe 💜

Just a little secret that my mom show me if you add a couple of eggs to your papa’s the potato will not come out when frying you will be surprised how well they stay inside and you don’t taste the egg at all... by the way taquitos de papa are my favorite favorite 👌🏽🇲🇽🙌🏼❤️❤️ love love watching your recipes

I had never had potatoes in a taco until an older Mexican lady brought food to our office for a surprise for our guys. She put potato and a little chicken in taquitos. Yummy 😋. I like that you can cook several tacos at once. So does Cloud ☁ have a boooyfriend....☺. You go girl!!!

I live in Idaho, grew up on a potato farm and have cooked potatoes in a lot of different dishes, but I have never heard of potato tacos! I enjoyed watching how you made them. Love tacos de papa simple and very cheap to make ingredients wise.
I add spices and chopped up tomatoes with chopped up onions in my mix as well as oregano.
Salsa I do a tomato one and add chopped up onions as well.
If you want to be fancier add a drizzle of crema and cotija cheese.
You can also do some cheese and potatoe ones .
Many many ways to make this dish you could also bake them or air fry them done both and they come out great.

Just a tip that I use to keep my tacos from breaking when trying to stuff them with toppings is I hold them open between the tortilla and meat with the tongs as I'm frying them instead of holding them shut.. my mom showed me this trick and since then everytime I make tacos most of them never break so I hope it can work for you!
