    Good to know it doesn’t last. We may try painting our yellowing trim pieces that have really yellowed. The snaps are a good feature. Good to see you guys.

      Hi guys! Agree on painting trim pieces. We did that in our old class c to the cent fan trims and the spray paint held up great. We sold it 2 years later and it was still white. Wish it would be as easy to do the shower lol. Hope you guys are doing well!

      @@WinesPinesandCaninesyes, our first trip with the new cover was to the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota - it was unseasonably warm so we appreciated the sun block especially since we were running on solar and no AC! The camper stayed a very comfortable temp!

    Hi guys! Sorry for the late comment. Just been busy. I don’t have any yellowing yet but I’ll be getting the insulator for the skylight to try and prevent as much as possible. Looking forward to your long term solution. Getting ready for our trip to the UP in a couple of weeks! Safe travels!

      Hi Lee! Totally understand the busy part - real life is constantly getting in the way of our camping life lol. Looking forward to hearing about the trip! Keep an eye out for the Northern Lights - have seen some great pics recently from that area! Have a safe trip!!

    Hey guys hubby and I are camping right now. In the western part of Massachusetts...in the rain...w/o electeicity...with our dog. We have the same camper as you do with a few changes. Can you guys put together a video of how you deal with the above circumstances with Desi?? We've watched you for sometime now and love your videos.
    Even used some of your ideas and problem solving as well.

      That is a good idea! Thank you - always looking for new video ideas and so many people camp with pets! And we did the same (but in Ct) a few years ago. We used Boondockers Welcome and it rained for days and we had electric. It was so muggy (July) that we could wring the water out of Desi's fur lol. Hope you got some sunny days!

    Great Video! Welcome to a world of plastics. I like your solution to this problem, but I wonder if the plastic surround will become brittle over time. It would be interesting to know what the surround replacement would cost. Another place to watch out for is the skylight material........they also become discolored, brittle..........and they crack creating a leak.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  Месяц назад

      Thank you! And yes - we had an older class c as our first rv and definitely saw that yellowing before lol. And that is something we thought of (brittle). Didn't see any deterioration but if we do over and over again - might be a different story. We did look into replacing and looks to be in the $300-$400 range but finding the exact replacement may require us to go through a dealer which would likely add to the cost.
      And agree on the skylight - we had a video a few months ago on the inner dome separating so had to do a quick fix to reapply but luckily it was in very good shape otherwise. Thanks for the watch - appreciate!

    Really like your videos, I've gotten several ideas from them. This is probably over kill for what this video is, but I got tired of the sun light coming through my skylight and having to check and repair the roof every year so I had Flex Armor sprayed on my roof last year. In doing so I had them spray over the skylight which blacks it out completely and keeps the heat out and I don't have the worry about resealing the roof and everything up there every year just go up and wash the roof off to keep it clean. They also have a led light which can be installed in the skylight if you want more light in that area. Just something I decided on which I really think pays for itself in the on term.

      @WinesPinesandCanines  Месяц назад

      Thank you - very much appreciated! And have looked into that -Flex Armor - seems like a great option to not have to mess with the roof. How has it been holding up? Did you have trouble finding someone to do?

    Thanks so much, love your videos! I have a Geo Pro 19FD that I hope to have for the long-term and want to take care of it. I’m buying the Camco skylight cover, thanks for that tip. You are much braver than I to paint the shower, I think I would just use the peroxide once a year. But looking forward to seeing your solution.

      Thank you and thanks for the watch - appreciate! The 19FD is a really nice floorplan - do you like the murphy bed? And painting will definitely require some research! But, we figure we will have a plan in place for worst case - replacing the panels. But, we are hoping that maybe whitening again will last a little longer next time - will let you know in a future video! Thanks again and happy camping!

      Thanks so much for this video! We have a 2021 19FD and I’m definitely going to look into the Camco cover. No yellowing yet in the couple of years that we’ve owned it, so hopefully an ounce of prevention will help! Your videos are always so helpful…thanks so much!

      @@WinesPinesandCanines My husband and I love our 19FD and the Murphy bed is a must for getting the most out of a small space because we have a bed, couch & dinette. I was jealous of your ‘king’ mod so I created a unique mod on our Murphy that gives us wall to wall bed space when In the down position. We call it ‘making the nest’ before bed and it is very comfortable and cozy. One of these days I’ll post about it on Facebook. Your 19FBS is actually my favorite floor plan of the Geo’s because of the full queen bed and couch, but I am slide adverse 😊. And, sadly you cannot get the power package on that model, which we also have because we wanted the option to do more boondocking. Take Care and thanks again for the awesome video’s!

      @rvingwithscissors Thank you and thanks for the watch :) We had no issues until about a year ago when the cover we were using fell down when it was in storage. Really wish we had found the other before! Happy Camping!

      @krisgarren5735 - would love to see that mod! We have discussed that if we ever decided to switch floorplans, what we could do with that bed haha! We do like the 19fbs and have been lucky with the slide but don't disagree - if the extra room isn't needed, not having it does make things a little easier!

    I have seen this done by others, but they used a UV light. Good to know the added expense isn’t a necessity. I wonder if coating the inside of the shower with a plastic/rubber protectant would shield the surface?
