Honestly!!! I might have not watched the anime so I don’t know how far off the characters behave / look compare to the source but the feeling I get is that the cast really fits this live action. I have really enjoyed watching this season 😍 I can’t wait to meet more characters
It’s insane the level of chemistry this cast has. It’s practically the same as the chemistry the characters have with each other.
Thankfully, Season 2 is continuing this with the new castings.

They did a pretty good job of capturing the spirit of the original. Of course it's not as good but that would be impossible. Can't wait for season 2!

I will wait you to join the journey with the anime... only then i will greet you as part of our journey!! still... yeah, definitively the Live Action is great! but as good as they are... is not the same yet... as an adaptation they are forced to do changes... and they even did an spoiler of chapter around 300 of the anime. The fact that we learn about who is Luffy's Grandpa... (To thoses of you who will yells at me for spoiling... im just read she already reacted the whole season on her patreon, so she already saw it, im not spoiling).

You are probably one of few people watching the first episode who do not look at the snail phones and freak out about them in some way, but just accept them for being a part of the universe. It seems you're well on your way to accepting all the nonsense this series will throw at you! Glad you enjoyed the first season; I wonder if you'll ever end up checking out the anime or the ultimate source material that is the manga?
I’ll be honest with you - I’ve been watching anime for the past 15 years constantly and.. I’ve seen proper weird stuff 😂 I love them snail phones. It’s a very interesting idea and the fact that they all have different designs and some are micro small is 👌 😊 I am going to watch OP anime privately with my friend who is a huge fan. I’ll be reacting to the remake and live action s2 next yr on my channel 😊 I’ve got first few mangas and I need to find some time to read them. For now I’ve just skimmed through to check the design of characters and illustrations
It's something I didn't catch the first time, but Nami's face when she's rolling off of Luffy after they fall out the window is freaking gold. It's the perfect mixture of "Ow, that really hurt." and "WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!" You really should just read the manga instead, though. It's a million times better and they'll never actually finish this show anyway. That said, I'm impressed that they made something that only kind of sucked out of what is and always should have remained a cartoon.

Its good, very good, for an adaptation, the author was heavily involved too. But still, its only around 70% as good as the anime. Nice reaction!

As a huge One Piece fan for 15 years I was expecting this live action to be so horrible. It's crazy that it actually turned out good.
