I just finished watching the last episode yesterday & loved the entire Season. I was worried that it would be difficult for Netflix to adapt 60 half hour anime episodes into just 8 hour long live action episodes, but this is definitely 1 of the best anime adaptations ever, & it does the manga & anime proud.
But if I remember well (honestly not sure since I started watching it in like 2005 or so) early episodes didn't have these awfully long recaps, and whole thing behind them past years is so they don't catch with manga and so they don't have to pause the anime like other studios did@@asdlgvfrbadkhjaseygf

I'm on my second watch. It's incredible how much passion flows into the adaption. All the actors seem to having a blast playing their character and respecting the fanbase. They really worked hard to give the fans and newcomers, both, a near perfect experience.
I feel like this is manga accurate, because when I watched it, I immediately remembered important parts of the manga and anime that I had read and watched when I was a kid. I've watched all 8 episodes. Only if you say it's better than the manga, no it's not. If you say it's worse, no, it's not. You can't compare them because they have their own interests. So far, this is number 2 the best. Number 1 is still Alice in Borderland Live action netflix series. and number 3, Rurouni kenshin movie 1-5.
Not a spoiler : But to help you guys for the further episodes, whoever eats the devil fruit as a consequence to bear which is that they can't swim and their power doesn't work under the water, which you guys will understand in the further episodes.

The fruit was called the gum-gum devil fruit it turns the users body completely rubber. But devil fruits have a downside you can never swim again and the sea water will weaken the user as well

Pirate lore: The eye patch wasn’t a cover up for a missing eye. It was so that when on deck, one eye was still in the dark and when they went below deck that would be dark, they would lift the patch so they could see better sooner, rather than have to wait for their eyes to adjust.

Hi Ladies, I finished watching the eight episodes 3 days ago, at the beginning I wasn't very convinced about the live action, but I changed my mind episode after episode, it was incredible, I didn't expect all this work for this series, it was nice to see all the dialogues and fights, everything the same, Garp will actually meet Luffy only in Water 7 after the events of Enies Lobby, I'm at episode 340 and I imagine what awaits me in the other 734 episodes, I love this anime too much

You should see the Bleach live action but i agree with you. They did an amazing job cramming that much content into 8 hours without overwhelming you.

the bullet didn't passed through him cuz bullets in that time were round shaped, so the penetration is not great, it is focused on the impact
