When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by a bullet of a pistol? No! When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No! When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom? No! They die when they are ...... forgotten!
I started watching the anime when I was around your daughter's age. This definitely feels nostalgic. But to have your mom watching with you is just... wow. My parents never cared nor showed any interest in my favorite shows or books, ever. You two experiencing this together wams my heart :')
Parents never watch shows with you cause let’s be honest 99.9 percent of family shows are for children with entertainment sprinkled for the adults. One piece is one of kind show for all ages cause it’s about being human, finding family through connections, characters are layered and diverse, and real dark themes that are about realistic sufferings. As long as your human. One piece is a show for you. Even if this isn’t the case. Then everyone should like the show for emphasis on “freedom”. Cause in 2023 we are all slaves technically by the money system we operate on. Working 9-5 to pay bills isn’t freedom. One piece isn’t a children show. It’s a guideline on how to live life in modern times . Implants seeds of how to stand up for ourselves, question your government, and seek your freedom disguised as a childish show. Might be crazy but I think One Piece is attended to be a modern day bible that’s delivered in visual fun way.
My parents just had me watch stuff with them that they were interested in. My mom was all about the scifi TV shows. My dad was into war movies. So I watched a lot of those, and still do. And my parents were also always encouraging me to read. Now I try and introduce my own kids to really good media. Parents should definitely take an active interest in what their kids are watching and reading, but also teach them about good storytelling, how to analyze media and be conversant in it. It's part of teaching kids critical thinking, and making sure their entertainment time isn't just mindless staring at a screen, but that they're actually engaging with it on an intellectual level and can explain what's good about it, why it's good, and how it could be better.
That little girl is really clever! 😧 „Hes recruiting everyone“ You have no idea how right you are 😂 Thank you i enjoyed very much! Cant wait for the next 😊
Luffy is his given name. Monkey is his family name. This story was written by a Japanese author, and in Japan when somebody gives you their name, they say their family name first and their given name last.
I love the Elastigirl reference from The Incredibles. One of my favorite Pixar movies, and a lot of reactors are thinking the same thing when they see Luffy do his thing. When I first watched the show, I was just stunned, I had no idea there were supernatural elements to this show and I didn't think of anything when he first started doing his gum-gum powers, I just sat there dumbfounded for a moment, then just went with it. Lotta weird stuff, but it's very entertaining. I've become a big One Piece fan because of the live action series. I'm glad I went into it totally blind, too.
The little girl is so smart and perceptive! Glad you guys are enjoying it, you are up for a great ride! We are also enjoying every bit of it and can't wait to see how you guys will like the show as it gets better and better and better.
You guys are so precious. 😊 I love seeing new fans checking out One piece for the first time. Been with this franchise for 20 years. Welcome to the crew. 😁👒
I love Kira's commentary! She's already so observant and articulate at such a young age! And adorable too of course! Sorry she had to see the violent parts, but she handled it well. I can't wait to see you react to the next episodes! ❤
@altafahmad8578 Kira is a perfectly normal (female) name where I come from (Slavic country). I just looked it up and it has a Greek/Persian origin. Looks like European people also like this name. The male version is Kir. The Japanese name in Death Note is more like a nickname because it's just the word "Killer" with a Japanese accent.
I started One Piece when I was 10 and loved it ever since! It can be pretty graphic at times, I hope she’s ok with the violence. Also Captain Morgan got his jaw broken by a certain pirate a few years prior. Another funny theory is that he wants to hide that he has the same ugly butt shaped chin like his son (in the manga designs)
You guys are so cute, I smiled the whole time watching this. This is exactly how I would want to spend time with my kids if I ever decide to have them.
This reaction was a lot of fun to watch, you just got a new subscriber! I started watching the anime exactly 10 years ago and Luffy has been my favorite fictional character since then. Iñaki Godoy does an amazing job playing him in this adaptation.
I absolutely love your guys as reactions. You guys are both very fun to listen to. Welcome to the world of one piece. I'm glad to see you guys are enjoying it. I look forward to watching all the episodes again with you guys. Subscribed and liked this video great job.❤
After numerous watching, now I finally understand why Zoro disagree with Luffy about "all great fighters shout out their finishing moves'. Zoro may be the only fighter unable to do so because his mouth is holding the sword! 😂😂😂
Axe hand's metal jaw has a two part explanation. In the original, both he and his son have chins that look like butts. Axe hand was injured by Captain Kuro and required the jaw for his recovery, but that was years ago. Now he just thinks it makes him look intimidating, the exact same reason he has an axe for a hand instead of a more practical prosthetic
The reason Captain Morgan has that steel jaw prosthetic is because its their to keep his jaw in place! His fight with Kuro busted up his jaw pretty good and Kuro also sliced his hand off making him axe hand morgan!
it is my first time on your channel. One Piece is known for its goofy vibe, but it has its dark scenes, so I am a bit taken aback that you allowed your kid to see this show. 😀 But I guess even I have been watching darker films since I was a kid.
My first time on this channel, too. I was looking for more reactors to this wonderful series. The show gets dark at times, but I think there's a lot of really good messages in this too, that kids can learn from. Overall it's a very sincere, entertaining show with a very positive, optimistic outlook on the world.
Very great reaction!! And kira is a really smart little girl! To the explenation why gold roger laughs before he gets killed: He gets executed to discaourage others to be like him. Instead he uses his public execution to promises the biggest treasure and starts the great era of pirates. He laughs, because he won and defeated the government. With his sacrifice he destroyed the plan of the marine completely!
tell the young lady that roger smiled because he had the D in his name, all people with the D in their names die with a smile on their faces because theyve lived a live they do not regret
Morgan's jaw was broken too badly and they used that metal thing on his face to hold his jaw shut.... also, they never mention his name, but the brat son is called Helmeppo. Also, they say family name first, so Monkey is Luffy's surname, Roronoa is Zoro's last name, etc...
It’s always entertaining with first timers enjoy a series now, still funny when they get the explanation of how it work. Any questions happy to share as a fan of the series, still cool to hear your points of view, though worried with a youth watching that

It's funny seeing you and your daughters reaction to the first time ever watching an anime adaptation film lol 😂 Welcome to the world of One Piece. Where Luffy who will be King of the Pirate's recruits 9 strawhat members. And the power that Luffy has is not Ms Incredibles Powers, he's a Rubber Man as in he ate the Devil Fruit. Anyone that finds a Devil Fruit will gain amazing powers, but at a cost! 1. You will not swim and will drown to the bottom of the ocean 2. Sea Prism stones now enhanced to military marines weapons and other utilities etc to capture Devil Fruit Eaters. And yes its a long adventure.
Guys remember that they are from spain, american standards are not the same in other countries. Even scenes of nudity are more tolerated amongst kids if there not depicted sexual. I mean you should know this with how japanese material that is 13+ has material that offends even some adults here like certain anti-war themes in anime.
Hi there, i just saw this Video on my Start Page and thought, i give it a try. :D Very funny Reaction from both of you. ^^ By the Way, Luffy ate a Devils Fruit: Gum Gum and thats why he is so elastic, also he cant Swim, thats why the Barrel. All the People who ate Devil Fruit get specific Powers, there are different ones, but they cant swim afterwards. ^^ Best Regards
Hope you guys enjoy the show but don't forget this show is 16+ rate, so give little girl for advice in some scenes. I'm not overly optimistic but it would be good to give kid good explanation not just let it go.
Hi! Here in Spain is rated 12+. Kira will be 10 in a few months so this is perfectly fine. Plus, I do trust her to let me know if something is too scary and she does not want to watch it. I am sitting beside her, we are going through absolutely everything even if it's not shown in the final upload
Mom I hope you always checked the whole movie first before you asked your daughter to watch together, because there are a lot of movies out there with a vulgar scene or highly violent scene not suitable for children. This movie is save for the most part, but still there are some scenes that are quite graphic and probably scary for children. Please always pay attention to the movie rating system.
Personally, as I see it, getting scared is perfectly fine. Being disgusted is perfectly fine. I am rather questioning of who gets to decide what is not suitable for children. Perhaps I would change if I raised a child myself. However currently I do not believe in shielding children from reality. We all live in the same world. Perhaps it would make me a bad parent, but I would probably show and talk about all sorts of messed up stuff. I would want my child to know that, there are really messed up people out there. Just hearing it is one thing, but seeing that someone just comes out of nowhere and stabs a child on a video I believe would make the lesson sit far stronger. Similar, seeing another child drown because of carelessness or a silly mistake, I would imagine that would set the knowlage that water is not just fun, and show how quickly bad things can happen. Suddenly stuff may just fall over. Perhaps seeing how bad that can go though a video with their own eyes will make them even just a little more observant of tall/heavy stuffs stacked. Seeing someone be run over, do not step into the road. Do not fall down onto the train tracks. Do not think dogs are always safe to play with. Show that even just hitting someone one single time can really ruin their life so its probably best not to do so... And so on and on. Naturally as a parent I would want to be there to ease these things and to make it less scary and all that. Talk before and after and all that. I guess I have the presumption that if the child has been thought and given the tools so to say to handle the darker reality of the world we live in, It likely will not be all that upsetting almost no matter what they watch... I would still probably not put my child thought too many horror movies at a very early age though... Hm... Perhaps something somewhat light just to teach another lesson. I would probably also try to take my child fishing at an early age, having them kill a fish... Possibly go hunting or perhaps to somewhere they kill a hen. To eat meat the animal must first be killed. Its one thing to hear it, but understanding is far easier when seeing. But what do I know. I am rather happy not being a parent, thank you every much.
Your last sentence was assumptive and unnecessary. The girl seems intelligent from her reaction and commentary. She wouldn't be this way if she wasn't raised well. Also, her mother is watching it right next to her to explain certain things, so I don't see any problem here.
I am not a fan of dragging kids in front of a camera for clicks... Plus the series is definetly for a more adult audience... It's cute but does it really have to be?
"why is smiling if hes going to die" we are still asking that question after 20+ years
cause he is fearless
Facing death with a huge grin in your face is one of the most badass things you can do to be honest.
We're not wondering, we know- it's because he didn't die. A man dies when he's forgotten.
Don’t people compare Luffy to Gol D Roger? In which case the answer i feel is pretty simple: death is simply his next grand adventure
When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by a bullet of a pistol? No! When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No! When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom? No! They die when they are ...... forgotten!

Axe hand was injured by Captain Kuro and required the jaw for his recovery, but that was years ago.
Now he just thinks it makes him look intimidating, the exact same reason he has an axe for a hand instead of a more practical prosthetic
Fun fact: the metal mask man that cover his jaw, his jaw was broken by a pirate that hypnotized him.
This is canon by the author oda
The reason Captain Morgan has that steel jaw prosthetic is because its their to keep his jaw in place! His fight with Kuro busted up his jaw pretty good and Kuro also sliced his hand off making him axe hand morgan!
This is great! So many reaction channels and finally one with a new concept. I love it.
