My favorite thing about watching new fans get into One Piece is seeing how quickly they fall in love with Luffy. He's such a special character, and Iñaki Godoy absolutely kills it in this role. Even the creator of the manga himself said that he couldn't imagine anyone else playing him because he captures Luffy's innocence and magnetic charisma so perfectly. It also helps that he's the youngest actor in the main cast by about 5-6 years, so it really adds to the "little brother" feeling that makes you want to protect him.
Though they're ongoing, to note: the anime is split into sagas, and those sagas are split into story arcs that are interconnected. ...and from what has been seen, we're to the very start of the final saga in the manga. Don't know how long that saga will wind up being, but it's clearly reaching the overall story's climax. @@demontrash

Fun Fax About Zoro: - One of his favorite foods is rice balls. On the flipside, he hates chocolate. The fact that Zoro ate Rika's chocolate rice ball which Helmeppo stepped on is like. It really makes you think: What A Man. (Not only that, but as you'll progress through the story you will find that food is INTEGRAL to the story, as you'll best see with Sanji, my boy my husband.) - However, the rice ball scene was executed differently in the anime. There, Rika broke into the marine base and gave Zoro rice balls while he was tied to the cross thingy so that he could keep his strength up. iirc, he'd been out there a couple days. - Also, as someone who owns the manga, Zoro's name is spelled.... a little more funky over there. Most people accept 'Zoro' but some media use 'Zolo' because of copyright concerns with 'Zorro.' - His surname, Roronoa, comes from the French pirate François l'Olonnais. It turned out that way because Japanese doesn't really have the 'L' sound and instead replaces it with 'R.' Also because of the fact that French is just _like that._ - He takes naps but his sleep schedule lasts 3 hours, from 4 to 7AM. - He likes to train. Just to clarify, the One Piece is a real physical thing, the creator of the manga (Who also worked as as an Executive Producer on the live action) said once in an interview that he wanted there to be a tangible reward at the end of the journey
I had never seen this show and yes it will make you want to check out the anime. I haven't looked too much into it but I think there is a fast track to the anime called one pace? Don't quote me. But I'm loving this, so yes please keep watching. This show will not disappoint especially since you're going in blindly

Everybody considers, at some point or another, that the One Piece may be friendship. This has been confirmed to not be true. Nobody blames you for thinking its possible though.
There is a free edit of One Piece available called One Pace that cuts out all the fillers and repetitive scenes. Highly recommended as they made the anime while trying to slow it down as much as possible to keep up with the manga. If you ever should start ;)

when I see 15 minute reactions the first thing I do is look for the patreon link. I personally hate the channels that cut every scene after 2 words of dialog. many channels manage to incorporate far longer scenes with no issues
5:06 imma be honest, luffy is like jack sparrows child. Hes a bit better than him when it comes to fighting, but otherwise? They share the same braincell.
Enjoyed the reaction, look forward to your journey through the rest of the episodes! A lot of people are checking out the anime/manga because of live action and thats amazing. My only suggestion would be to look up which filler episodes to skip online and maybe avoid One Pace. One Pace cuts out a lot of the small added time fillers in the anime that add up over time....however they also have been known to edit intense moments and/or dramatic moments just because they have a few extra seconds of a camera shot or a pan shot that lasts a little too long for their taste which makes some scenes feel awkward. Personally if you are gonna commit to the entire story, you'll end up wanting every second unedited eventually so might as well start off that way as well. Just my opinion.
I have been in a situation where I literally expected to die if I didn't find water very soon. This here is the thirstiest thing I have ever seen.... by several miles! (Not saying I don't get it, but still...)
