I'm really enjoying mine too. The beeping noise is much more high pitched to my ears than my crisp /duo but maybe it's me. I turned it off for a bit but then kept forgetting about my food so it's back on now 🤣
Love your videos you stopped me from buying the instant pot ultimate lid. Thank you for some much clarification as well. There’s too many Instant Pot models and not easily understood. Great explanations, I subbed and looking forward to your videos! 🎉
Very much looking forward to viewing your upcoming videos. I don’t have an air fryer so am interested re: using a grill/oven for crisping up. Thank you Susan for your lovely straightforward content 🤗
I'm glad to hear that they are planning on bringing the ProPlus to the UK (or whatever the model is called that does electric pressure canning), I know a lot of people that are thinking about importing a Max from the USA, but that means paying a lot of money, and having to use a voltage converter (not just a plug adapter) and it seems like a UK specific IP ProPlus would be a much better choice. Has Instant Pot actually given a date when they expect to release it here in the UK?
Hi Kelly, yes I'd love that function too for sure. Yes I wouldn't import one myself - I've seen IP responding to comments on their website with 'this year' as a release date. When researching this video I did see a placeholder for the manual for Pro Plus on their website but not clickable yet, so that makes me think it could be soon. Basically I'm guessing 😊
@@CookingandCalm awesome! I know there’s lots of people excited to have a pressure canner available in the UK. It’s nearly impossible to find even the ones you use on the hob (unless you import them).
@@KellyS_77 I know. I've been staring at those websites too ☺. I water bath canned lots of salsa, tomato base and enchilada sauce with tomatoes and chillis from the garden last year. I still find it really amazing that we can preserve things and keep them so long. Clever stuff!
Oh that's interesting. We only just got the Pro Plus here in the UK. It's so different everywhere. Although I was interested in the canning side of things with the Plus, I've heard mixed reviews on that and I'm also not keen on the wifi recipe function. I like to do my own thing :) Thanks for connecting. That profile pic though 🐶💚
Have you looked at the Chef IQ pressure cooker? The only thing I don't like about the IQ is that it doesn't seem like you can make your own recipes with it. You have to go by the recipes it has available which makes zero sense! What are your thoughts/experience?
Hi there, I haven't seen that one but yes I'm also someone who prefers more control over the recipes as I'm a tinkerer so I do like the way instant pots work (apart from Ultimate) . I'm enjoying the Pro so far
I just bought this model .. and have to learn how to pressure cook .. but I was looking at "integrated" cooking with my air fryer too!! Also i as an Aussie, my cooking over the years are more English style than American. I was wondering can you use this Instapot to cook/boil home made christmas puddings or would it be better just on the stove stop (for hours)??? Really looking forward to your research and videos 🥳
Good choice! Yes you absolutely can use for steamed pudding and if you’d like to test out I’d recommend searching google for “every nook and cranny instant pot sticky toffee pudding” I rarely cook desserts but have made these - she’s an amazing cook and there are others steamed puddings there too . Let me know how it goes 👍😊
@madeleinesuzette Found this for you- Catherine Phipps is very good so you'll be on good ground following these instructions. Good luck 👍 😊: www.feistytapas.com/2021/11/catherine-phipps-pressure-cooker-christmas-pudding/
Hi Helen, yes the ones with handles only work in certain models like the pro and pro crisp so if yours started with the ‘non handle’ bowl, that’s the one you need. Hope that makes sense 👍
hello there! i have a question..... when using the favorite button function..... will it notify you if the sealing/venting valve is in the correct position?
Hi there , effectively yes as whether a favourite button or a main preset , none of the pressure settings will work if the IP isn’t sealed. On the pro, it self seals so there is very little to think about. If the lid hasn’t seated properly, the digital display will read “lid” and beep , telling you it’s not shut and refusing to start building pressure. IPs are really safe in that way.hope that helps 👍
Hi there, I'm not sure if this one is available in India- they've just stopped making it here in the Uk and it's been replaced by a model called 'Instant pot Pro Plus' here which has the extra wifi and canning function. It's the same pot though with the better quality stainless steel and handles. I hope that helps
Oh gosh that’s really difficult to do as so much depends on how you cook. I don’t have a duo plus whisper but it looks really good. I think you’ll be pleased whichever way you go and it’s only really by trying the Instant Pot out that you get an idea if you’ll use. If you’re not sure about pressure cooking (which is the main function of these machines) I might consider going in at the lower price point first but it really is impossible to advise without knowing you - now we’re both confused :)
Hi there and thanks for connecting. It's just with the Pro model that you get the spare ring (at least in the UK). You can get them via IP website or Amazon and not too expensive thankfully.
@@CookingandCalm thanks just ordered myself one today and also ordered myself the new instant vortex plus versa zone, your videos have been very helpful and i think I'm ready for my 1st ever pressure cooker

I love mine. A great upgrade from my Duo. I like the automatic setting for pressure and the safer steam release.

You are so welcome! Thank you. Yes it's completely confusing and I think they are making too many.
Wow Susan this is an interesting Instant Pot - an oven safe liner, hmm. Intriguing! Thanks for sharing. Be well.
Hi Millie! Yes I'm enjoying it and hoping to try out this oven safeness next week. You take care too.

Hi Susan, thank you so much. Glad the idea might be helpful - let’s see what we can do ☺️
What a Beauty ! Thanks for answering our questions ! Hope this “love affair “ keeps going and going. 😊
Hi Cassia 👋I'm really enjoying it so far. Hope the answers helped and you are well whatever you're up to today
Thank you so much for explaining!

Thank you for this very helpful video! What is the lowest temperature setting on the Instant Pot Pro?
You're really welcome Mel. Do you mean on the pressure cooking function or something else? Let me know and I'll try help
Funny more pro plus in Australia and rarer for the IP featured. I actually like this one no need for Pro Plus.

@madeleinesuzette how did it go?
Does it matter if the extra pot has the handle or not?

@MattP5000 you’re welcome
do youi store the pot with the lid on and locked, lid off or lid on unlocked
Hi there, I tend to store mine with the lid upside down on top (in case I've not got everything dry). Not as pretty, but practical.
interested in buying this! sorry,i am in india!

Hi! Does it have crisp function?
Hi there, you can get it with the Crisp lid version but mine is just the multi cooker. Hope that helps
Can you please help me to choose instant pot pro or duo plus whisper. I am totally confused

I didn't get a spare ring when I purchased mine last year. Is that standard or just with that model?

My Duo Evo Plus (bought a few months ago) came with a spare seal.
oh that's interesting Susan. Thank you for sharing
Is the Gourmet pro an older version of the pro? Thanks
I'm sorry I don't think we have the 'gourmet' in the Uk so I'm not sure what that model is. I hope someone can help you with it
When was this introduced into the uk
Hi Keith, I'm not sure. I just had a look at the instant pot UK website and the oldest review of it was two years ago so I'm guessing around then
@@CookingandCalm thanks just ordered myself one today and also ordered myself the new instant vortex plus versa zone, your videos have been very helpful and i think I'm ready for my 1st ever pressure cooker
@keithmarshall8478 great combo! I'll do a review soon but heads up , it's a great instant pot!
Can it cook beans well without soaking please?
Hi there - yes it can!
