Excellent review. Just a side note: a sauté fries food in high heat using a small amount of fat. In this recipe, you usually sauté the onion and ginger in a small amount of ghee or oil (not butter) followed by the curry powder. The broth and tomatoes are only after those are sautéed, along with the butter. If you add the tomatoes and broth before the onion, then you are not sautéeing anything at all...

Hi, in terms of putting the lid on, there is a line on the front of the unit and on the lid, if you line them up, the lid will go straight on. Still love love loving your un baised, honest reviews. I tried that exact butter recipe in mine and completely ignored the instructions, onion and garlic has to sauteed, fist period, not exceptions. x

The Instant Pot Pro and the Instant Pot Pro Plus are the top of the line of the Instant Pot line IMO. I own the one you tested today, so I'm glad it did well. I thought Marc might get through this video without burning himself, but then he burned his mouth on the sloppy joes. 😆I'm from San Diego and really enjoy your test videos.

I’m in New York about an hour from the border (howdy neighbor haha.) I actually call Toronto my second home because I’m up there competing in my sport at least 2 to 3 times a month during the summer months. Anyhow, I love your videos and your channel and I just wanna say that you guys have huge bravery, for using an instant pot with a big dent in it. Due the way it pressurizes… I’ve always discouraged people from doing that, but hey, you did it and lived to tell about it so bravo!! .😁

I just bought this and have yet to use it, but I have one question. Why use the pressure cook mode to cook the rice instead of the rice mode?

Ist's slim comared to the Ninja. I love top make stews in it, stocks, yoghurt, one pot dishes. I find the Ninja more convenient zu use. I usw rice cookers for my rice, congee, thadig, etc. Both together make a pretty cool pair. I will try out your chicken. And hi from Germany.

lol mine has the exact same dent. Cat knocked it off the counter. I haven't tried using mine was just going to replace it this BF. Surprised the dent doesn't cause an issue. Might test mine.
We just figured it was only the outer casing. Where it's the inner pot and lid/seal holding the pressure. At least we think lol. - J
Next time put a bit of (half a tbs) Avacado ( or Extra virgin olive oil ) and cumin seeds into the rice , you would love em.

Can I use my old 6 qt lux inner pot in the instant pot pro?
Great question. I have no idea, although I would suspect not. Most of the machines are moulded specifically for the parts that come with them. - J
@@TheAverageKitchen Thanks for the feedback. My 6 qt lux is not holding pressing even brought replacement parts and it’s still leaking steam so I ordered the pro since is on sale rn at Amazon.
