The cycle of goose: Goose: How am I ever going to get this resource with so many limitations? See this random item you’ve never cared about? If we throw 79000 of them at the problem, it’ll fix itself
heavily modded minecraft is a strange beast. where you can one minute be scratching your head over highly technical nuclear engineering, to the next minute mass-harvesting the literal tears of your enemies...only to get upset about the sound of the crying required to produce them.
Also for all it may be worth? I played GTNH the normal, non-skyblock way. When I hit IV, I wanted to update my version of the pack and it bricked everything and Im kind of recovering from that (and coping with another modpack that is easier). Hands down, I keep being baffled by how nonchalantly Goose appears to manage the sheer amounts of insanity of this run, and even moreso bcause his go-to method towards solving issues seems to boil down to "You misunderstand - I am not trapped here with you. You are tapped here with me" and then he follows through with it. I genuinely strive to have this much willpower.
It's incredible, the constraints of having to do this in a void world absolutely forced him to set up robust automation so he's just in an extremely good position for IV. I don't think it'll slow down appreciably either, because as we just saw these methods scale more or less forever lmao
@@popov9651 Project Ozone 3. It has a skyblock path and comes with difficulty levels that shuffle the recipes around and I'm playing on the hardest difficulty but... you know, nothing like this lol.
Oof. Well, at least now you know to update by creating a new instance and copying over a backup of the save, instead of replacing the old update entirely.
100-day-cels will see you goosemaxxing and say: "he can't watch the same oversaturated type of overedited video on a mid modpack that doesn't even complete it properly"
A fully enchanted set of armor with Thorns 42 on it would be the answer to everything (and pretty funny). That and Last Stand 13 would be the ultimate uno reverse card to stuff that tends to kill you instantly.
i have never been so engrossed in such waterfowl gameplay commentary before and im glad that im given a weekly dose of duck-adjacent content for my avian block game needs.
I'd be lying if I said my favourite part of the playthrough wasn't the beginning where you had to use unusual out of the box solutions to problems like dying repeatedly, getting a torch skeleton to give you arrows and having an economy based on dirt creepers, but it is nice seeing all this late-game progress done in a void world as well
Despite burning out on the various gregtech series going on around youtube these days I find myself excited whenever I see a new goose upload (in either series). You're something else brother, keep up the great work. I figured I should drop a comment if these videos are this far above and beyond everyone else because algorithm whatevers.
My friends and I started a playthrough because I saw your video and thought this modpack looked really cool. We started around your 12th episode, and so far the three of us have reached IV. Our biggest issue is power. Our main base produces about 2 amps of centralized IV power, with lots of smaller turbines scattered around for other stuff. Our biggest issue is that we have a quad ebf which can only run one at a time (because we don't have 4 amps of IV) and an IV LCR and an IV vacuum freezer. So if we run the blast furnace and vacuum freezer at the same time, we are likely to cut one short and lose materials. We've made extensive thaumcraft progress if not reached the end entirely, we have 2 tier 5 blood altars decked out with speed, sacrifice, I/O, and capacity runes for maximum juiceability, along with an Extreme Entity Crusher equipped with a well of suffering, and the EEC is grinding up staballoy constructs for free staballoy which gives titanium and uranium 238 for free when centrifuged.
@@popov9651 I agree, most modpacks feel kinda played out and boring, this one though has had a really solid sense of progression and challenge. You really feel like you have to earn everything.
An interesting thing to note about the chests spawned from the convocation: they draw from a slightly different loot pool from looniums. I doubt either produce anything you need at this point, but the convocation chests can give you infinite bee coins and titles, if you want either for some reason.
I thought my friend's gold farm on our vanilla mc realm was bad enough BEFORE they updated bedrock to mimic java and added glass breaking noises to portal blocks being broken, but that ghast farm is something else entirely
I like watching playthroughs of complicated mods like this or factorio space exploration, it always starts interesting and I think I might try it out, and then the series keeps going and it becomes clear that it rapidly becomes extended self flagellation and i realize I dodged a bullet
Avoiding this specific challenge for Gregtech is more like dodging a cannon ball than a bullet. From what I hear, it's much more tolerable on a normal world where you actually have materials to work with.
Finally, finally caught up with this. You’ve completely consumed my last few days with this series. You have a great balance of wit, comedic timing & general malice that I think is great. Keep it up!
your new base is absolutely gorgeous, absolutely loving to see it used also on a note about old school magic mods ive always felt like they were just tech mods flavoured as magic, and way too many of em are just busy work with no tangible reward or progression until like half way through progression. blood magic is just busy work, witchery is aesthetic and even thaumcraft has that issue were anything of actual value takes so dam long it feels as if its not worth it even tho i still love thaumcraft
your videos make me question not only my understanding of what is happening, but also my english, i was confident enough with it, and now i feel like you are speaking in another language sometimes, but i like it, a lot
I'm really confused as to why you never considered making a lapotronic supercapacitor; it's going to be necessary later anyways, and can be *mostly* easily upgraded, along with being able to input and output more than 64 amps at at a time through use of tectec hatches. You can also transform up power up/down to get more power transfer density; albeit with a higher risk of machines going "boom-boom"
starting this video, i have two ideas of what it could be. One; lacrimony based waterway. Two; goose is sad/salty about what needs to be done. My bet is on option one
Just wanted to say that I enjoy your videos and that you have inspired me to start my own GregTech playthrough(but not new horizons). Thank you for making these videos.
the tears of his enemies, evidently. I am, however, unsure as to whether they qualify as enemies, as the threat they pose is no greater than perhaps that of a small slime to someone playing the vanilla flavor of the game.
YEEEEAH, awakened ichorium! WOO! And more bees! ...Kinda. I'm probably in the minority in genuinely enjoying bees, unfortunately. Sort of like gambling without much risk I guess. And yes, bees are insanely powerful. The cost, though, is the oceans of acids you need to process the combs... That is, after all the nonsense of getting the bees you want in the first place. Especially considering, if I remember correctly, you NEED specific planets to breed certain bees? The Lapotron one is the one I'm thinking of in particular but I might be wrong on that. I'd glad to be wrong even, considering that means there may be some you straight up cannot get... Anyway, great content as always, big fan of this lowly-edited kind of stuff. Just gameplay that's occasionally sped up is really appealing to me, and about 36k other people too (as of writing), it seems. Excited for the next episode!
I would assume that he can technically fly to the planets and they'll just be missing because of void dimension, but he could still build a platform and breed what he needs. Funny though that this means this playthrough might as well be in the Iron Lung setting.
@@ShawnPattonC the issue is the tiers of rockets that you need. Unless there’s a way to get the schematics without the dungeons, he will only ever be able to have the tier 1 rocket. So, if anything needs something besides the moon…
I think most of those planetary requirements can be avoided with the mutatron, but he's a tier or so away from that. Getting mutagen for it might be a bit annoying, though.
@@arahmarborealis4425 You could also "bypass" those requirements with the Witchery biome changing ritual, as that lets you create biomes without going to them, INCLUDING the biomes of said planets. The biome changing ritual has no dimensional restriction, it will let you make literally any biome. Instead of bringing the bees to the planets, you bring the planets to the bees.
Loved the video, as usual, but I can't help but point out "vis" is pronounced "vee". Also, I know the Ichorium gear is OP to the max, but I'm REALLY gonna miss the Void Thaumaturge Robes. The model and aesthetics are just SO good.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series, but since I've lost track of all the progress madness since late LV I wonder if you plan to make a "techtree" video shining light on the progression for a less Greg-full watcher, the most complex modpack I've played is Dungeons Dragons and Space Shuttles, which while very complicated isn't at the GTNH levels. I am partially to blame since I am psychologically incapable of watching any video at x2 speed, and I understand that more theoretical videos aren't exactly popular, although given the slice of the market you're producing content for it would still draw interest imo.
