I really don't give a flying f... about stereo speakers. I can't be the only one. Seriously, want to have the best audio possible? A good set of headphones or any external speaker will sound way better than any internal stereo speakers. Are you seriously watching movies on your phone? Great, but again either you're doing so in a public space (so use headphones please) or don't care about quality (reason why you're watching a movie in a 6 inches screen). Take your external speakers, I'll have my audio jack back.
I really don't care about speakers these days. Give me a good set of headset instead and a bigger screen. Admit it Google Is following Apples footsteps with its pixel line up. Last year they mocked iPhone for not having an headphone jack. Guess what happened this year? And then they are 2 models one with no bezels and one with bigger bezels, just like Appple. I don't like Samsung because of its shitty touchwiz. Google and Apple were my only hope.
Fluffy Fuyumi well i dont think thats what the person was asking. I personally like bezels on phons if not overly large but the original Pixel was the crimson chin of phones with its bezels and although not as pronounced they still are super large
Fluffy Fuyumi loool bezels look disgusting on modern phones. You're in the minority here. And P.S. it has huge bezels for the front facing stereo speakers not to "deviate" from so trend.
Terrorbrot No in one of Google's ads for the Pixle they made a joke about it having a headphone jack pretty much saying apple was retarded (which they are) for removing the 3.5mm jack
From an engineering standpoint no. From an economical standpoint yes since only makes it more likely especially with how hard they are going to be marketing the pixel buds.
Hell no it's not hard look at the LG V30 it has a quad dac headphone jack and it has smaller bezels than the Pixl 2 and Pixel XL 2. That's just pure greed out of the companies. The save millions from not adding a headphone jack and they also gain money from selling their ship Bluetooth headphones.
Companies wanna remove headphone jack for which they give reasons - 1.Saving space for battery and other components. 2.Transitioning into future of hearing gear. 3.Encourage their in-house products like expensive bluetooth earphones and headphones. But are neglecting the needs of consumer. If you guys want to remove headphone jack , for which there is still no reliable alternative as - 1.Bluetooth gear still has connectivity issues. 2. One more battery to charge and take care of. 3. You can not use headphone and your charge at the same time(Good luck watching TV series and movies on that QHD screen). 4.3rd party availibility on USB-C headphones is still not impressive and highly overpriced. For a good transition companies should at least consider these steps- 1.Providing at least a decent quality USB-C earphones in box. 2.Two USB-C ports.(Not goona happen anyway). They want people to get used to future without even providing a suitable ground for them.
The smaller Pixel 2 has a hole for the mic on the bottom, while the Pixel 2 XL doesn't. Is the mic integrated into the bottom speaker grill on the XL? Or does it have one mic less?
SmokeWise Ganja, yeah but the CD alternative was better and it wasn't the product but the player that was griped about. With the headphone jack, bluetooth isn't better objectively.
You are wrong by saying there's a work flaw Wen taking out out of the pocket and accidental squeeze, google took note of that hence the squeeze sensitivity can be adjusted
*Confused .. LG V30+ or Pixel XL 2?!* The V30 has the two cameras particularly the wide angle, DAC and frankly seems more refined, the Google always has the latest stock Android and the camera 'should' be good.
If you hold that DXOMark is the Holy Grail of camera ratings. Besides, you have to balance all the negatives of the Pixel with using a 94 rated camera (Note 8) vs a 98 rated camera.
T- Smooth Okay genius what's the score on the V30? They're the same company that gave the Note 8 a 94 and the LG V30 craps on the Note 8, and then they gave the iPhone 8 a 94 and on video the iPhone 8 craps on the Note 8. So I'm not to confident on these scores. Then you're completely overlooking the wide angle on the V30 which the Pixel XL 2 lacks. There needs to be a head-to-head review.
Switched On A front facing camera to me is on the bottom of my list, but thanks. Tops is Media creation: Video, Pictures .. _which is why I like wide angle,_ playing Music and Media controlling all my IPTV Apps eg Chromecast, Remote controls, and all the basic business Apps which any smartphones can do.
my phone also has a squeeze feature -when i squeeze it random things happen open another video lock the phone randomly call someone randonly open apps etc etc
No headphone jack. IP67 not IP68 No wireless charging No expandable storage. If you want the Pixel 2 XL with 128GB IS $949 or $10.00 more than a Note 8 Same old craptastic carrier exclusives. The only real positive is the front facing stereo speakers. I have a Note 5 and will be upgrading soon and it is a choice between the Note 8 and the V30. I've seen nothing that would make me want to put the Pixel 2 on this list.
Dudley Forster i am in the same exact spot and finding it really hard to find a worthy successor to my Note 5... None provided enough changes to make me buy.... Except for the V 30 and unlike you, its the HTC U 11 is the other one am interested in.... But I will wait for my final phone I'm looking forward to... The Huawei Mate 10 then decide... But so far, it's either the V30 or the HTC U 11
For me I ordered the Google Pixel 2 XL because it has all the features I need. I don't use wireless charging and fast charging will serve me very well. Everything else I will enjoy because of the machine learning. I'm coming from an iPhone 7 as my daily driver. I've also used Nexus devices before and had Android since the G1.
same here I am comming from an iphone 7 and so disapointed with low light pictures on it that look like oil paintings when you zoom in I need my cat pictures to look good
my guess is the pixel 2 is geared towards budgeted users that wants the software, the bezels probably saves cost and thus the lower price while 2 phones don't really have any other difference.
tuiso I wouldn't really call $650 a budget phone. The G6, S8 and a bunch of Chinese smartphones are $650 or under, and they have near bezel-less display plus a bunch of other features. IMO i think that Google just cheaped out on their product and put a premium price tag on it. They definitely have the resources and connections to do it. They've done it before, ie the Nexus line. They should be making a phone that is the standard for all Android devices to follow, not lagging behind.
200 dollars for a slightly bigger screen is unacceptable. This trend of making 2 models with the bigger one always being more attractive is a highly dodgy tactic to milk you extra. No headphone jack is an insult to audiophiles. This phone looks ugly. So dissapointing. No wireless charging, battery replacement , SD card? It's time to boycott the tech corporations including apple.
You know what blows me? For the past oh idk 2 years everyone complained about steroids front facing speakers leaving smartphones, and now a phone in 2017 has it and now everyone’s like “oh i don’t care about front facing speakers give me those tiny bezels” like what?? If there’s any reason to have bezels on a phone, it’s for speakers. That just makes sense. In fact, that’s what everyone was complaining about on last year’s pixel
Got my Pixel XL for free as a replacement for a faulty Nexus 6P, only thing I miss from the Nexus 6P is the dual front facing speakers. Dual front facing speakers on a phone are amazing, at least for me.
Does anyone know if the Pixel Buds are going to work with the first gen Pixel devices the same way they do with the new ones? I really want them but don't know if I want to upgrade to the new Pixel yet.
I know this isn't about Google play games but it doesn't work when I delete a game I on a high level in but when I download it back all my datta is not saved
Dejan P - that shit is so played out! the phones have not been bootlooping and like the last 2 years and if you really want to talk about blue Lupine look at the Samsung S5 and a Samsung S6 they started boot loop and also to just do your research
Dejan P - clearly you are a Samsung fan saying there's anything wrong with that everyone has their opinions but don't put it out there in the world like you know everything that's going on that's frist! - and second go watch jerry-rig everything's teardown of the LG G6 and the lgv30 you'll see that they actually improved and fixed all of that
The camera uses a dual pixel setup like the Canon 80D - so expecting amazing autofocus - and this means you don't need a dual camera to make depth maps. I am excited about this development.
I don’t think anybody in the comments mentioned the unlimited Google Drive storage that comes with the Pixel for your videos and pictures at its full resolution not to mention the awesome camera, that to me alone takes out any iPhone tenfold.
Already have mine preordered. Upgrading from a 6P! Honestly my only complaint besides the missing headphone jack, is the rounded corners. I definitely prefer a sharp edged screen. Rounded reminds me of old school phones.
I pre ordered too, do you know whats the deal with the home mini? it'll arrive with the phone or you haver to order it with a coupon code or something?
Samsung still seems like a better buy because they keep all the convenient features. Headphone jacks and expandable storage while also introducing new features like higher screen to body ratio, wireless charging, and etc. Truly making a phone for anybody and everybody.
You just said two. I own a s8 plus specific to India which has 6gb ram and 128gb space. I face no lag, the fingerprint sensor seems fine and the over saturated coloured screen has become a huge head turner. Samsung offers so much more for the same price.
Rohit Iyer uhm i use an s8 plus in the US and theres no lag on the 4 GB versio either... most Ram ive used is 2.4 GB... if you need more memory than that get a PC lol
Prash M my point wasn't focused on 6gb vs 4gb but the fact that samsung offers so many things for the same price. Iris scanner works really good, expandable or dual sim feature is just beautiful. People who would buy pixel 2 just because they thing Samsung lags are ignorant.
This phone looks really nice. I'm currently using an iPhone 6s plus. Thinking about switching. iOS has been pretty stale and I notice my phone has been seemingly buggy lately. Especially the battery after updating to iOS 11. Thought about the iPhone 8 plus but I can't bring myself to pay for what looks essentially like the same phone as what I have. Seems like most of these phones are so close its more preference. Any apps on Android similar to FaceTime?
note 8 is out the window unless you want the s pen or bixby. I was going to get the v30 because of the headphonejack, duel cameras and better waterproofing but it cost 800$ and the pixel is significantly less than that. Google always nail UI and their ecosystem looks pretty cool. so for me its gunna be pixel xl since bezels arnt my thing. So basicly its hardwhere for the v30 vs software on the v30.
Imadyboy if you like the Samsung ui/features, s pen, akg ear buds, a telephoto lens and a large 6.3" screen, go note 8. If you want a wide angle lens, best DAC for headphone consumption, manual video mode and MIL spec rating. Go v30. If you want dual speakers, that slick stock Android ui with fast updates go with Pixel 2. Coming from a note user, my options go down to pixel or note
I'm pixel 2 xl all the way, though I wouldn't mind the v30 bc of all the hardware features it has. However, I just love vanilla android, especially the pixel UI.
depends on what you want in a smartphone Overall great camera: Pixel XL 2 Battery: Pixel XL 2 Fluidity and smoothness: Pixel XL 2 Updates:Pixel XL 2 Front camera: Pixel XL 2 or Note 8 The most featured pack camera: LG V30 Audio: Both the Pixel XL 2 and V30 but i'm leaning towards the V30 due to its DAC and inclusion of a headphone Jack Media consumption: LG V30 Content Creation: LG V30 Wide angle camera: LG V30 Multitasking: Note 8 Productivity: note 8 Note taking: note 8 Features: note 8 Ram: Note 8 Phone case variety: Note 8 Prices--------------------------------------------- Pixel XL 2: $849 unlocked LG V30: Around $800 (Hasn't been confirmed as far as I know) unlocked Note 8: $930 unlocked The Pixel 2 XL is clearly the best bang for you buck in my opinion All 3 phones are amazing and it comes down to little personal preferences that'll set each apart, I still want to see what Huawei brings to the table with the Mate 10 that's releasing later this month, The Kirin 970 processor in there is gonna blow the SnapDragon 835 away, if they can manage to put a great camera (Which im sure they will based off of the P10 and mate 9 Lieca branded cameras) the device, keep the headphone jack, include wireless charging (Even though I'm not a fan of wireless charging), have a smooth and user friendly software/UI experience, good battery life, and a reasonable price tag the I could see the Mate 10 being undoubtably the best Android phone of 2017
Looks good screenwise wish they would have considerd a different physical design and the lack of headphone jack has never really appealed to me with other phones.
I'm surprised how long it took you guys to put out this video. Usually Android Authority is my go to place, but you were way behind the rest of the RUclipsrs
I want the pixel 2 xl, but i will wait for next year for the price to come down bc I can't find a tree that grows money or a goose that lays golden eggs.
I got my Pixel XL 2 all black pre ordered unlocked from Google can't wait to get it!! I personally like the design and you can't beat pure Android idc what anybody says
Seeing the Pixel 2 XL today made me want to buy a V30 to go along with my Note8. Not going to pay more for less. V30 has better design, IP68, less bezel, wireless charging, and a amazing hifi audio DAC with a headphone jack. Front firing speakers mean nothing when I use my HD650's through the V30's hifi audio DAC for a life changing audio experience.
This is starting to be a pet peeve for me, but I'm noticing that some tech channels seem to fail to note that the Pixel 2 Will come with a headphone jack adapter. I know that this doesn't make the no headphone-jack situation better, but I think its worth noting considering how apple handled it.
This is the simple but effective upgrade to my 6P. Apart from the gimmicky AR it still has the front facing speakers and now proper OIS and IP67 with stock Android. If the battery life is great then this for me. Simple and effective. No bells or whistles. Although lack of headphone jack is a slight issue.
I personally really like the design. Just like I really like how my current Pixel XL looks. The front speakers are going to be amazing I loved them on my Nexus 6P when I had it.
I got just one question.. why people thanking Google for squeeze technology but reacted very bad about the same technology when HTC invented it at the first ?? Could anyone answer me in logic !!😓
Maybe for you it sounds ridiculous but in fact every RUclipsr trying to mention it with a bit more of joying although they had different reaction when HTC launched it.. But after all it was a big thing that made Google put it in it's own new flagship phone. And unfortunately it's not the first time other companies steal or borrow from HTC and got a better reaction otherwise when HTC invented it the most tryed to make it not a big deal.. thanks for your reply.
Javontae Eaddy no it isn’t, i think phones should have no ports at all. having a hole in a phone that you don’t always use is ugly. I think the perfect phone should be able to do everything wirelessly, but we’re not quite ready for that. the less ports the better
SmokeWise Ganja the older chip can still makes phone calls right?? Lol the removal of the Jack is stupid. I really wanted this phone. I would be happy to pay $1000 if they had the Jack. Google messed up.
I love how during the original Pixel release Google were savaging Apple for the 'no headphone jack' thing and now they're following the trend a year after. Good business move to get people to buy the Pixel Buds, but a 100% a deal breaker for me. :(
Who remembers when the Google pixel advert last year took the piss out of the iphone lack of headphone jack.... O the good old days
WM G exactly. Now they just look dumb for taking it out. Like wtf Google man
Moist Gnome they removed it for no reason. There's NO REASON to get rid of the headphone jack
Moist Gnome Probably not the LG V series. With the dedicated quad DAC for audiophiles, can't see them getting rid of it.
WM G it’s funny unlike Apple they just remove it for no reason. Not that Apple had a good reason though but they at least said something.
There is NO reason to remove the headphone jack because wired sound is better than wireless.
Seems like some people don't understand that the bezels are large (they're really not that big) because of the stereo speakers.
Pixel 2 bezels are too big, but the XL is good.

Ale Zuvic calm down tiger lol
Kenny 92 my old Moto X Pure edition have front stereo speakers but has less bezels.
Okay, I like these phones, but whyyyyy are the bezels so huge on the normal Pixel 2???
Fluffy Fuyumi well i dont think thats what the person was asking. I personally like bezels on phons if not overly large but the original Pixel was the crimson chin of phones with its bezels and although not as pronounced they still are super large
Fluffy Fuyumi loool bezels look disgusting on modern phones. You're in the minority here. And P.S. it has huge bezels for the front facing stereo speakers not to "deviate" from so trend.
The Pixel 2 bezels are bigger than last year's.
It's so it can really loud front facing speakers. My s8 is really nice with it's big screen, but it's speaker for audio is not loud at ALL.
I appreciate your reference. *tips hat in respect*
They gave shit to apple for having no headphone jack but now there doing exactly the same thing a little hypocritical if you ask me
Alex MacLean
Apple was shit with their attitude from the beginning, I expected better from Google
google themselves never did that o.O it only were the users (/android fanboys)
Terrorbrot No in one of Google's ads for the Pixle they made a joke about it having a headphone jack pretty much saying apple was retarded (which they are) for removing the 3.5mm jack
Aditi Phadke You can use the USB type c headphones on the iPhone although I think any sane person would rather use a 3.5mm headphone jack
When is Google gonna release the livestream as a video?
is it that hard to put a 3.5mm headphone jack in a phone?!
Ethan S Yes
RayPosSiable no
From an engineering standpoint no.
In 2017 there are more smartphones ditching the headphone jack. So it is no surprise that there is not one on the pixel 2.
Is it HTC or LG ??? Coz squeeze feature comes from HTC while that 18:9 aspect ratio comes from LG
Companies wanna remove headphone jack for which they give reasons -

No headphone jack? What happened?!?!?!?!?!
thesuntheskythemoon they had to dump it because of the dual stereo speakers in the front.
No headphone jack??? NO WAY.......
The *_FUTURE_*
SmokeWise Ganja That makes no sense because wired sound is clearer than wireless.
SmokeWise Ganja, yeah but the CD alternative was better and it wasn't the product but the player that was griped about. With the headphone jack, bluetooth isn't better objectively.
Squeeze works with a case on the phone?
Why do they keep removing the headphone jack? Dafuq did that jack do to you?
MrCoolboy2175 Greed!! The dongle is 45$ for charger and 3.5 jack combined.
You are wrong by saying there's a work flaw Wen taking out out of the pocket and accidental squeeze, google took note of that hence the squeeze sensitivity can be adjusted
Guess I'm waiting till next gen again.
Sergio Inzunza Huawei P10 Plus for me!
Sergio Inzunza same
Javontae Eaddy I'm still satisfied with my current Gold Huawei 6P.
Enjoy the last proper Google phone. I'm on 5X and won't upgrade till next year for sure.
the camera reminds me of nexus 7 2nd camera
RIP English

Styling on the Pixel 2, not too great imo, but the tech and software are top notch. Google did pull multiple surprises this time.
What's the fuss about ai assistants , I've never use them at all
my phone also has a squeeze feature
-when i squeeze it random things happen
open another video
lock the phone
randomly call someone
randonly open apps
etc etc
Is that a stranger things background?
I'm trying to like these phones but just disappointed overall. The front speakers is a plus but not enough. V30 or Note 8 for me I guess
No headphone jack.
IP67 not IP68
No wireless charging
No expandable storage. If you want the Pixel 2 XL with 128GB IS $949 or $10.00 more than a Note 8
Same old craptastic carrier exclusives.
The only real positive is the front facing stereo speakers.
I have a Note 5 and will be upgrading soon and it is a choice between the Note 8 and the V30. I've seen nothing that would make me want to put the Pixel 2 on this list.
Dudley Forster you don't actually need expandable storage Google have unlimited free storage
Dudley Forster go for the s8+ instead of note 8 its way cheaper and almost the same specs unless you care about s pin
You can buy a pixel unlocked. They only advertise it as carrier exclusive with Verizon. Idk why
Dudley Forster i am in the same exact spot and finding it really hard to find a worthy successor to my Note 5... None provided enough changes to make me buy.... Wow that Live beach wallpaper.. anyone know where can I get that?
Don't understand why they made the two phones different. The regular Pixel 2 should just be a smaller XL.
It's basically the Nexus 5X and 6P all over again when it comes to design.
It’s like the iphone 8 and an iphone x
The regular is made by HTC, and the XL is by LG. So far, HTC isn't capable of producing phones with near bezel-less displays yet.
my guess is the pixel 2 is geared towards budgeted users that wants the software, the bezels probably saves cost and thus the lower price while 2 phones don't really have any other difference.

Will there be a Squeezegate?
What is the charging 3.0 or 4.0 Quick Charge
Do they have unlimited storage like the first pixel phones?
Josh always gives the best descriptions when it comes to new devices
What’s the point of the back glass if there is no wireless charging?
Google Pixel 2 XL, my next phone.
Does it have a notification LED?
Can you reprogram the squeeze function to launch something else other than Google assistant? If not then it's just copying bixby.
how about the eSIM??

HomeAutomationX i just saw your comment on Dave2d video damn youre everywhere 😂
Quenelle same lol
Quenelle I'm following you around
They have squeeze sensitivity in the settings
Thats what she said....
What makes it better than any other Android phone that has Google assistant?
_Google Pixel 2_
_Sadly No Headphone Jack_
...Sadly...
This is the *_future_*
Google......
Took the route which apple took
No need for headphone jack... wireless headphones
Does the phone come with wireless headphones?
Why not just headphone jack and USB-C audio?
I havent really heard anyone complain about the Pixel 2 having no headphone jack. People went insane on the iPhone 7 and 8.
Does anyone know if the Pixel Buds are going to work with the first gen Pixel devices the same way they do with the new ones? I really want them but don't know if I want to upgrade to the new Pixel yet.

really love the curved corners, i wish they'd make them on a smaller pixel too!
Why it has no white front color?
These would be great Nexus phones at $200 less. Not so great as flagships
Strutting_strat R.I.P Nexus 😔
I agree - they are priced a touch to high for what you get. take another $150 off and it'd be about right.
Hey Josh, thanks for the quick preview, gonna pre-order it and a new Pixel book. By the really like that hairstyle your rocking, it's fleek.
3:39 isnt that this crazy guy from Apple event? haha
I don’t think anybody in the comments mentioned the unlimited Google Drive storage that comes with the Pixel for your videos and pictures at its full resolution not to mention the awesome camera, that to me alone takes out any iPhone tenfold.
Awesome video Josh but really miss your guys podcasts
Why is Google portable speakers shown wired if they are intentions are to go wireless without the headphone jack on their phones.
What are you on about?
Already have mine preordered. Upgrading from a 6P! Honestly my only complaint besides the missing headphone jack, is the rounded corners. I definitely prefer a sharp edged screen. Rounded reminds me of old school phones.
Anyone know if these will support the type c alt mode for external display?
Ordered my 2 XL 128GB today. Very psyched!
I pre ordered too, do you know whats the deal with the home mini? it'll arrive with the phone or you haver to order it with a coupon code or something?
Is that RonAmadeo (ex-Android Police & currently at Ars Technica) at 03:01? Cheers man!
What is its price
Pixel 2 XL or the v30?
Samsung still seems like a better buy because they keep all the convenient features. Headphone jacks and expandable storage while also introducing new features like higher screen to body ratio, wireless charging, and etc. Truly making a phone for anybody and everybody.
Juan Carballo too many unrefined features
like the over-saturated screen and the badly placed fingerprint sensor
The note 4 was the last full featured phone..we're going backwards. Do a video on this ASAP
A squeezable phone? Does it squeak too and make your dog come running from another room? 😂
Still no wireless charging?
Hello sir, can u suggest me an android touch mobile range 3000₹ - 3500₹?
Can you do a bend test?
Although This pixel 2xl doesn't have dual rear camera . How will be the pic from rear camera ,this is surprising fact !
How much?
That panda color scheme is awesome!
Genuine answers please no bias : Note 8 , V30 , Pixel XL 2 ?
note 8 is out the window unless you want the s pen or bixby.
However, I just love vanilla android, especially the pixel UI.
depends on what you want in a smartphone
Overall great camera: Pixel XL 2
Battery: Pixel XL 2
Fluidity and smoothness: Pixel XL 2
Updates:Pixel XL 2
Front camera: Pixel XL 2 or Note 8
The most featured pack camera: LG V30
Audio: Both the Pixel XL 2 and V30 but i'm leaning towards the V30 due to its DAC and inclusion of a headphone Jack
Media consumption: LG V30
Content Creation: LG V30
Wide angle camera: LG V30
Multitasking: Note 8
Productivity: note 8
Note taking: note 8
Features: note 8
Ram: Note 8
Phone case variety: Note 8
Prices---------------------------------------------
Pixel XL 2: $849 unlocked
LG V30: Around $800 (Hasn't been confirmed as far as I know) unlocked
Note 8: $930 unlocked
The Pixel 2 XL is clearly the best bang for you buck in my opinion
All 3 phones are amazing and it comes down to little personal preferences that'll set each apart, I still want to see what Huawei brings to the table with the Mate 10 that's releasing later this month, The Kirin 970 processor in there is gonna blow the SnapDragon 835 away, if they can manage to put a great camera (Which im sure they will based off of the P10 and mate 9 Lieca branded cameras) the device, keep the headphone jack, include wireless charging (Even though I'm not a fan of wireless charging), have a smooth and user friendly software/UI experience, good battery life, and a reasonable price tag the I could see the Mate 10 being undoubtably the best Android phone of 2017
Note 8
I'm probably late to the party (haven't watched AA a lot recently) but kudos to Joshua for rocking the new hairdo!
Looks good screenwise wish they would have considerd a different physical design and the lack of headphone jack has never really appealed to me with other phones.
I hope you can move Google search bar back to the top
Omg! I love your hair Josh 😲
I'm surprised how long it took you guys to put out this video. Usually Android Authority is my go to place, but you were way behind the rest of the RUclipsrs
What WE want-
1. Build quality, Display, "Headphone jack" - Samsung
2. UI, Camera performance, Speakers Dual front facing , Fingerprint sensor position- Pixel 2
3. Performance - Apple A11 (Bionic)
saw you on MKBHD's video! 😇
I want the pixel 2 xl, but i will wait for next year for the price to come down bc I can't find a tree that grows money or a goose that lays golden eggs.
Already pre-ordered my Google Pixel 2 XL, can't wait to get it!! Awesome vid.
Good shit man. If I had money, I would of pre ordered in no time too.
Darnell™ yeah I saved up little by little since May for this phone and am so glad to finally be getting it. It is rather expensive though.
Carlos Castellon u r lucky man! By the time I ordered...the black n white xl had delivery date of 27 dec! I ll have to get it from a carrier!
All this good phones this year like lg v30 and note 8 and you ordered this ugly phone with no headphone jack and micro sd slot?
Carlos Castellon congratulations, you played yourself
if iphone had wired headphone, Would pixel dare removing this feature?
I got my Pixel XL 2 all black pre ordered unlocked from Google can't wait to get it!! I personally like the design and you can't beat pure Android idc what anybody says
Seeing the Pixel 2 XL today made me want to buy a V30 to go along with my Note8. Not going to pay more for less. V30 has better design, IP68, less bezel, wireless charging, and a amazing hifi audio DAC with a headphone jack. Front firing speakers mean nothing when I use my HD650's through the V30's hifi audio DAC for a life changing audio experience.
Marlous B lol I'd be using my 558 SR as well but their connected to my gsx 1000 so I don't care as much for the headphone jack.
This is starting to be a pet peeve for me, but I'm noticing that some tech channels seem to fail to note that the Pixel 2 Will come with a headphone jack adapter. I know that this doesn't make the no headphone-jack situation better, but I think its worth noting considering how apple handled it.
Cool device. Still going to choose a device with audio jack.
Hamada Jazaiery People are actually thanking google for the squeeze tech? That sounds ridiculous.
Pretty sweet Pixel XL. My LG g 6 is about the same ,but without the stock . I may get the pixel XL
Integration of ML and AI is a cool feature for this flagship. I look forward to experiencing its unique features.
All they had to do was keep the headphone jack, and I would've bought the phone.... They had 1 job! Lg g6 just got a new buyer!
Joshua Newby why not go for the v30 my guy?
SmokeWise Ganja the headphone jack is very significant, my friend
Javontae Eaddy no it isn’t, i think phones should have no ports at all. having a hole in a phone that you don’t always use is ugly. I think the perfect phone should be able to do everything wirelessly, but we’re not quite ready for that. the less ports the better
SmokeWise Ganja the older chip can still makes phone calls right?? Lol the removal of the Jack is stupid. I really wanted this phone. I would be happy to pay $1000 if they had the Jack. Google messed up.
I had almost no expectation on Pixel 2 and 2 XL but, surprisingly, it was able to go even under. It is pretty much rebranding HTC U11 except back.
Did Google Pixel 2 barrow that orange button from a 1980's VCR? lol
I wanted to like this phone but with no headset jack and no expandable storage. I normally charge my phone while working with a battery pack.
I love how during the original Pixel release Google were savaging Apple for the 'no headphone jack' thing and now they're following the trend a year after. Good business move to get people to buy the Pixel Buds, but a 100% a deal breaker for me. :(
Ever since htc m7, i miss front facing speaker, which so much joy when watching video, playing music and game
Is google taking hints from samsung? First the settings menu , google lens is like bixby vision!
