The whole population doesn't earn enough for that to be a problem. I think the highest rate now is 60%, (the majority will pay 40% as the highest) but it WAS about 85% back when George Harrison wrote Taxman... but as I said, only a very small minority earned enough to be in that bracket.

He Cancelled 2 days before; Ruined my Beautiful 😍 plans. We were disappointed 😞☹️ extremely, 😔😐... Anyway 😉❤️😜 We Still Listen to 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 I'm Widowed now, so 😢😢very lonely...

The amount of money that they still bring into the country can't accurately be quantified, but the British taxpayer's are still getting the better end of that "stick."
