Thank you Rod for entertaining the world. I love this video. I wish I was the guy sitting in the chair and you said to me you want to join in. I'd respond ,,,,,,yes,,,,😊😅😊⭐⭐🍀🍀
3:23 This is just such a great video. I go back to it all the time. Because Rod is so alive. I love how he gets the cord tangled up in the gentleman sitting in that chair. It's just real entertainment which brings you a 😊 laugh and also listening to a really great singer singing two great songs that I love❤ Thanks, Rod 3:25
How good is this. Rod Stewart singing an obviously unrehearsed "You Send Me" duet with the legendary Spike Milligan .....awesome. It doesn't get any better than this.
Thank you sincerely for posting this...Outstanding!! I saw The Faces in the mid 70's in Mpls, I was a teenager and knew all of their music...I'll never forget it...Ronnie Wood was still in the band... Rod wore his tight yellow slacks...Took a few photo's, I have them somewhere in a box. My future husband was sitting in a seat across the stadium from me that night.
It was great to see Rod being himself. There was no mask on his face, nothing to disguise who he was. On that particular night. that young man, was the real Rod Stewart. As time passed and he became more famous, a lot of who he was,✨ went with it. So now he has fame ✨now he has fortune✨ but I personally like the old Rod Stewart who had none of All those material things ✨ Just a great young man, who had a great personality and a great sense of humor. Great song! Great performance. What a crowd!! Thank you, Sam Cooke 🎉
He had fame and fortune by 1974 for sure. Faces were one of the highest grossing live acts of the 70s. I watched a documentary on the and Rod was driving a lamborghini in 71,so he definitely had weath and fame when this was made in 1974. But I do agree with you about how he comes across, just bring himself with no airs and graces
This vocal is live but the rest is the actual backing track from the version off his SMILER album. That guitar is Ronnie Wood playing his Zemaitis custom. Such a distinctive sound to it. Rod's vocals are right on the money.
Rod Stewart is singing with Spike Milligan. A comedy genius. Not well known in the US (because their humour is generally very simplistic) but in the rest of the English speaking world he is an immortal. His influence on the world of comedy is profound and unique.
@@RDDHopsing77ever wonder if he’s not famous in the us because he’s not funny. The us has more complex comedy than any Brit doing funny walks could conceive of. Let go of your empire it’s gone
The US has produced much great comedy but with a population of 330 million one would expect that to be the case. One only has to watch "Blazing Saddles" to realise how well they can do comedy. However, your reaction shows that you do not grasp the complexities of British humour, which is sad.(I am NOT British). In the English speaking world US humour (overall, with some exceptions) is not held to the same regard as other English speaking countries, with Britain arguably at the top. Even your funniest comedian in recent years, Donald Trump, despite his best efforts, has lost his mojo and is no where as funny today as he used to be. @@declanrex9435

Did he ever say he singing Sam Cook songs and give credit I didnt hear it and sick and tired of people coming up by using someone elses hard work and the worse is when the person tries to also sound like that person nothing but copycats like Elvis
He's stated that sam cooke was a massive influence and most of the time when he's doing having a party or twistin the night away live he says it's a Sam cooke song
@@crankjazz it was over the moment Ronnie Lane split. He wouldn’t accept being Rod’s backing band that he put down in the press. Faces was over in 1973

Never seen this before. What a treasure.
Stewart had such a fantastic, soulful, raspy voice. I love a lot of his songs.

Sam Cooke.
After listening to Sam Cooke Rod must have wondered how can I compete with him . Answer You can't Rod but you have great taste in music
Para apreciar esta voz uma interpretação fantástica em directo.
Pas mal !
Presqu'aussi bien qu'Eric BURDON...
please forgive my ignorance but who is the man that looks like Steve Zissou?

Should’ve stayed with the Faces instead of this pop poop.
The Faces didn't break up until 1975.
