I must say this…..
I was always too shy to sing on stage…… kinda still am… lol
But after composing ballads for decades behind closed doors…..
in 2002… when Mr. Steward’s Album came out:
“THE GREAT
AMERICAN
SONGBOOK “
I took the cd to the park, put it in my boom box……..
got on the empty bandstand there
and sung that whole album each day…… with nobody around.
Did that on a regular basis…….
It changed the way I viewed performance in general….
But…. music specifically!!!!
A few would stop to listen
while jogging or walking their dog ect….
But I just sang those lush arrangements anyway…….
MAN…….. IT FELT AMAZING…. THOSE LYRICS…… THOSE MELODIES!!!!!
As a jazz composer,
I know it’s no easy task to arrange pure joy out of thin air….
the strings…. the horns ect…….
Lastly,
Composing and debuting at 68 is kinda weird but my
life was hijacked …….
It’s a long story….. but..lol
I’m finally free to compose my jazz ballads now.
Should be coming out in vinyl around Christmas 24.
Not so much interested in the sales…… as I am….
………. being…. Part of the healing….🕯

I like the show, but Jimmy's over-the-topness is a bit much. He's too good to need to pander. I wonder what the Stones were thinking when he was being himself rather embarassingly during the 'Hackney Diamonds' interview in London? Cringeworthy.
Still, great guests (Paramore, yes!; and those Nicole Kidman segments...), great house band, great production...and a really talented host who can be a lot of fun. I just wish he wouldn't try so hard.
