I did the test again using a Galaxy Saturn as an independent reference radio. Similar difference but NOT as much as we heard here. Here is the test, and coming soon an SSB comparison using Skip-Land as my recording station. ruclips.net/video/stSXXbFWfB8/видео.html
Version II is clearer (less Bassy) then Version I.
Great demonstration.
V2 definitely sounds better to me.
I think they both sound good just in a different way . I think personal preference has a lot to do with it , and everyone’s ears hears different. I’m legally deaf by medical standards from having a flight-line job in the Marines ,, so some of my radios sounds like a bee’s nest while others are perfect , and to others , the ones that sounds good to me sounds like trash to someone with good hearing ,, either way ,, good demonstration Screwdriver ,, 73’s from Manchester , Tn 👋🏻
Great video and hello Mr screwdriver sir hope you are doing well. Thanks for the videos and the service you provide. Take care and 73s
Thanks 👍
hmm 🤔 both sound good in there own way 😮
Hey screwdriver version 2 sounds better to me but then again all your radio sound pretty kick ass keep up the good work Buddy
A long distance video gate (1000+ miles) would be a good judge. I’ll be listening.
Looking forward to an SSB test recorded from your station in CO. Let's collaborate. Call me please 954-771-8161 so I can get your phone # and make arrangements. Thanks! 𝓢𝓬𝓻𝓮𝔀𝓭𝓻𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓻, 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 🔔 𝘾𝘽
I have the 955 HPC and if is a great radio I only wish they could take some of the bass out it. It is a little heavy.
V2 sounds louder then v1 but both good radios
Striker sr-955hpc is a VERY good transceiver for 10 to 11.7 meters !!! (25.615mhz to 30.105mhz ) -> 4.49 mhz(wide band) !!!! 3inf and 6sup ;-) am fm ssb
Ó melhor de todos os tempos rádio bazuka Foz do Iguaçu Paraná Brasil 🇧🇷🦈 73 🇧🇷
That was interesting, I'm guessing they both had similar treatments,( tunes etc..) or nothing done to them.
Yes very similar to both radios.
Well wouldnt that also have to do with the recievers being different on the v2? Maybe transmit with each listening on the same radio
Could be, I will try again using the same receiving radio as a reference. If there is a big change I will post that as well. I have an RCI-2980 on the same bench, I will use that to receive both V1 and V2 and see how it does then.

Good idea.
OK I did the test again using a Galaxy Saturn as an independent reference radio. Similar difference but NOT as much as we heard here. Here is the test, and coming soon an SSB comparison using Skip-Land as my recording station. I think 808 in CO will join me with that one. @808intheminigrass

@@BellsCBdoesn’t the v2 use DSP?
You have any videos on a tune-up on the 955 HPC version 3?
Version 3?
@@BellsCB Yes I thought Stryker came out with the version 3 being the newest one.…
Mic gain was set different
WOW, I don't know how I missed that.
So.... Is that it? The only difference is the tone?
V2 sounded much better
