The last radio I bought was the Shakespeare gbs-2000. If I remember correctly the year was 1977. I had a slapstick glass antenna on the roof of my father's house and I still have the same Turner power mic. I was just a kid we lived close to I-95 in Massachusetts. All that time ago and the radio is still working today. Through the years whenever I'm doing a road trip I stick a magnetic antenna on top of the car and absolutely love having the radio in the car on the road. Hands down the best communication device on the road is a CB radio. Cool channel
Went from dipping down to 12.9 to about 13.6 while transmitting after I swapped power cables. 8 Guage the rest of the way to the battery with anderson connectors. And replaced that terrible little fuse with a 30 amp car audio style fuse. Great video by the way. Now I guess I need that v2 now, you know, because radio😜🤘

It turns out that I had a screw come out of my RoadPro Coil Antenna which I found when my backup radio wouldn't work either.
Wow, interesting vid & a new subscriber; just made me realize how out of touch I've been on some things; have had a 955 for yrs, but until now, didn't even know there WAS a Gen 2! Boy, I need to keep up to date with things!🇺🇸🤓
same here bro got the 447 for my dump truck and a stryker sra10 trucker antenna 75 watts of power i have gotten out 21 miles with it in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains to!
I've got one of those new 2022 KW T680 sleeper truck and I need to find a way to run the power from the battery to the cb radio. I know how to run it up the inside of the door post. My problem is trying to find a way to get it inside the cab.
The video is good. I like to make the most of it if we don't want it...the team is responsible. Here in Puerto Rico we are not interested in the guarantee unless deficiencies come... Here in PR we put it to enjoy. sugar 😂
99n2 all day, any day, every day! I have a couple 99n4 videos. The only dislike of the 99n2 is the volume knob, but I have a fix for that in the video.
couple of q's 1] do you work on the 5555n2, and if so in your experience can you do all the same mods and get same power outputs from it as the 955v2 [supposedly the same] 2] if so how can we talk , would like to get my quad 5 a once over.
well just opened it up and its exactly the same as your pic, only thing mis is that sim card/sd card looking section in the front of board to the right of the numbers

You are one of the very few. I have 6 different models of Stryker’s, I bought new. Not one problem. Best built radios without question. If you bought it and it was a dud then you should have sent it in back to the factory for warranty work.
My experience with “new versions” always leaves me appreciating the older ones more🤘🏼👍🏼

The new 955 has the same board as the new Anytone at-5555ii and the CRT SS7900V.
I have the CRT and it's a brilliant radio.
I have the Radioddity which is the same as the Anytone Ares ii and it looks EXACTLY like these radios inside. Are they all the same?

There should be a grommet behind the panel that is under the mirror, between the hood and door.
