I gotta Magnum S6 I'm gonna bring up to you so you can make it get up & go🏃🏿🏃🏿🏃🏿 Hasn't been touched since I bought it from Copper when they first came out👍🏿
I have a version 2 955 and I got it to do 120 pep and 45 bird average but I’m trying to max out my bird average and peak power what upgrades do i need to have
It does sound good for sure. I think its good for those looking for something simple and for basic communication kinda more meat and potatoes works well with just a good tune. 140 plus watts is nice as well runs much cooler than the v1 there but has more heat on the regulator so makes sense for a max mod on the v2s completely a waste of time and money on the v1 to use a max mod.
@@DRail1990 Gotcha, that makes sense, thank you for the reply. I need to do some more reading so I understand this better. The learning curve after getting into radio 3 years ago has been steep, people like you who take the time to explain things is appreciated.
After just watching this i have to say i do not like the way it sounds when compared to the v1 ... Also if i sent my v1 would you go thru and do your majic. I am in south ga.

No they are decent but will only do 70 to 80 ish peak without manipulation of the pa stage. They do the best with a better final and capacitance and inductance tuning in the PA.
I think the Stryker 447hpc2 will be the new way to go. But time will tell I'm going all out with anytone president 447 etc and I will find a new winner or something atleast close to the same of the all out version 1s galaxy ranger and connex general etc won't compete to that level. Will lots of mods will beat the v2 with any of them though.
@@DRail1990 Dang I just can't afford to kick out for a new radio at this time. Need to thin out my stock of old radios but thanks for the reply and hope you and yours have a truly safe and enjoyable Christmas 🙂
Still thin this one doesn't have any bandwidth changes or eq or custom echo these can be done for improvements but still will fall short from the v1 as far as fidelity is concerned.
@@Fox250R v1 from stock circuitry is kinda the opposite its muddy so a thin d104 with no mods on a muddy stock tx on a v1 would blend together OK. Far from hifi of course originally none of the radios are great out of the box.
@Cherrybomb 452 ok I’m completely confused now lol! I was just curious why he wasn’t using his normal D104 hand held. I have a v1 currently with a RoadDevil104 people say it sounds really good but I swear the battery goes dead once a month and I get some retarded squeal from the radio even with talkback turned off and with the mic slider only being on #2. Sometimes I get the squeal sometimes I don’t. When I use my 636 it never a squeal.it’s like when the battery starts to go dead the mic squeals. But the battery only last 3 weeks sometimes and I’m using Duracell, so I don’t know haha
A few parts changes for bass but most of the chain is lazered off. The 447hpc2 is the best choice for hifi haven't made a video yet but I'm pretty sure it beats vs 1 955/655 very impressive how it came out.
@Fox250R yeah hifi is not an option for v2. Best to call us and we can describe what all options are available and see which radio and options best fits your needs.
Ever see that guy Mark Rutherford? mark19960? He has a private video on his channel that TAFT has seen where he gets stupid big power out of a 955 on the LP meter. We at TAFT want to know how he does that. He is too stingy with information and wont show the inside or talk about what he did. if he sees this comment he will probably take the video down anyway but we don't care. He said in the video he doesn't want to teach fine tune anything LOL
And your point? Also a $1500 dollar lp700 $600 dollar lp100a (2) $1200 4314 bird meters. All any meter is for, is a reference. If it says 100 watts every day for a year and then drops to 50 one day you know their is a problem. The dosy you laugh about shows less power than any other meter I've used so that is what I use for a standard to beat all previous tunes.
@@DRail1990 just thought it was funny. I know you used more accurate stuff like the bird and lp. No bad blood. Just wouldn’t have been the first meter I’d show.
This is Mark Sherman, I LOVE your work.
I love the echo. It’s perfect.
I got 2 655 from someone and they had blown finals so I replaced all 4 with 2030+ in both radios and work's fine.
Weird I have a v1 655 and it blew the finals to randomly. I wonder if that model has a issue on some of them
D-Rail
I think you sent this radio to wrong Brian!
Need me one of these D-rail radios!!!

Schooling them mud runners 💪😂👍
Could this be used in front of a hurricane 350 peaking around 500w? What length of coax would be best between the radio and linear?
I kind of like the clearer sound. I definitely hear a noise gate scratch of sorts, sound.

Do the high power stryker radios have built in fans ?
Dumb question, because I don't understand. Why is there a spike on your scope when the radio isn't transmitting?
Constant signal from an rf generator used for tuning recievers.

I'm a musician and we use noise gates to quell feedback loops. Maybe that's why they want it there?

Can you disable the noise gate? The noise canceling mic should do fine without it. Running a D-104 would be different.
There's a menu option
I agree 100% if anyone beleave a what he says is a quake for sure and don’t need to own a radio at all
will do the same to the 5555n2 which has the same exact board?
Do you still have any version rigs available.
I do like your explanation of thee gate operation.
I have 1 new 955 and 2 used 655s and 6 new 655s all version ones unless I'm able to find more I will likely be out by the end of the year.

Is the version 2 better then the version 1
Definitely not. Unless all someone wanted was a simple tune then it's a toss up.

130 for Upgraded Finals 120 for full tuneout.
