Fun fact: The voice actor for the Shark Fiend is the same voice actor as Tanjiro, and he's really good at playing crazy characters.I thought the voice of the future devil would be more crispy, but this could be good!
So while Aki isn’t using his Curse Devil nail sword anymore, the katana he is using isn’t exactly a normal sword either, as it has the ability to cut the Ghost Devil’s limbs (and the Ghost Devil is normally immune to most physical attacks, with only the Katana Man’s blades and the Snake Devil itself have been shown to be able to harm it). I think Akane’s nosebleed is supposed to be from some unknown cost (perhaps her sense of smell in one nostril) of Akane commanding the Ghost Devil (after the Snake Devil spit it up, the spit up costing Akane a finger-nail). Also this episode’s ED appears to be supporting the popular fan-theory that the Violence Fiend’s human body came from Arai’s corpse (the guy who protected Kobeni from getting shot). I do wonder though if the rest of Part One of Chainsaw Man can be adapted with only one cour? Part One is 97 manga chapters (or 11 volumes) total, and this season is likely adapting up to the end of chapter 38, maybe 39 (which is equivalent to about 4.5 volumes). @@jelanibyrd5031 the visuals of the ED itself. Same with the visuals of the OP, where if you look at the theater scene in it, one can identify all the members of Special Division 4 (even the Spider Devil is there) sitting in seats except for the Violence Fiend. (and apparently in early rough drafts/boards of the OP, the Violence Fiend was initially there, but was taken out for the final version, so some are speculating the OP of episode 12 may be modified to have Arai removed and the Violence Fiend replace him in the OP)
Something I found interesting in this ep is the very slight possibility that the Violence Fiend may have taken over Arai's body! Think about it, he's the only one in their division not sitting with everyone else in the theater in the opening, and he also appears instead of Arai when they're showing the first OG crew during this ending. Not sure if it's intentional but I really hope it's true!

Yeah...CR subs messed up bad with what future devil is supposed to say. It's said in Japanese but they translated it to "Your death will fucking rule" instead of the accurate " You will die in the worst possible way"
In the Russian dubbing, they literally translated the scream of the Devil of the Future:"Future Rules" like: "Future Gun, Future Gun, Future Gun". And yes, my friends spoiled me.
the future Devil didn't ask anything from Aki because he wanted to see his death with his own eyes, that's why he asked to live in his eye, so he could be at the moment of his death to be able to see He dies, in the manga they explain that, the payment of the contract was that he could see Aki's death in person, in his view that has the same weight as half of someone's life if not more.
Crunchyroll has been missing with the subtitles for this series. They messed with the future devil's line and had him say Aki's death will rule instead of "You'll die the worst way possible.". It does work in the sense that it would rule for the devil as they like human suffering, but it doesn't give the same tension or feeling as the manga scene and slightly messes with some stuff down the line.
Just a heads up that Crunchyroll's subs misinterpreted the Future Devil's lines. Every other subs for this episode like Amazon Prime or other languages got it right with the spoken dialogue. "Mirai de SAIYAKU na shini kata o suru," the Future Devil said in this episode. "You will die in the WORST possible way," the correct translation is. It literally said "Saiyaku" or "Saiaku". The Japanese word for "the worst", "disastrous", take your pick. But it does not mean "Fucking Rules"... I think the Crunchyroll subbers mixed up "Saiaku" with "Saikou". Two completely different words that mean the opposite to one another.
Fun fact the ending song for this episode was by Queen Bee/Ziyoou-vachi the band who did Kaen the lit opening from Dororo! If anyone needs the song name its called "Violence".(I love how we met the violence fiend this episode and that's the song name)
The translation of, "Your death will fucking rule" is not the correct translation. Future Devil actually says, "You will die in the worst way possible" which is an important line later on. We all understand the translation gives the same vague feel, but the exact translation is important for the story. The future does NOT rule

@@Dell-ol6hb it’s still technically a fan theory at the moment, it still hasn’t had 100% explicit confirmation yet.
That gunshot made my soul fly out my body at 5:48
so future devil actually said "you will die in the worst way possible" instead of "your death will fucking rule"
Both of those can be true statements from a Devil's POV. Not a big problem.
Something I found interesting in this ep is the very slight possibility that the Violence Fiend may have taken over Arai's body! Think about it, he's the only one in their division not sitting with everyone else in the theater in the opening, and he also appears instead of Arai when they're showing the first OG crew during this ending. Not sure if it's intentional but I really hope it's true!
sooo ur saying when arai died, the violence devil took over his body?
I dont believe it's ever directly confirmed that the Violence fiend is arai, but it's a commonly held belief that Violence is totally arai.
Idk if you're a manga reader so spoilers ahead
When violences mask is removed his face kinda resembles Arai
neither confirmed nor denied in the manga. its just a theory
@@Skibbutz no, its called art, and its subjective. Never looked in just one way, can be in a myriad of views, and all valid or invalid in their own way. Beautiful
5:48 This scared the living shit out of me, I even jump
Future Devil: "This one's on the house, lmao."
Very rarely any villain gives a 5 minute lecture of his ability here.
That's what i love about this anime.
My favorite detail and they even say it the violence devil is so powerful that even as a fiend they have to keep a poison mask on him to keep him in check
Fun Fact, the fiends take the body of death people, and SP used the body of Arai (Kobeni's partner) as a vessel.
5:55 literally said that to myself watching it 😭
all i thought was “they gone have fun with this one “ 😭
4:33 caught me off guard
4:33 I appreciate you guys for this part. I literally thought of the Rock when I got to this part when I watched it.
Future devil saw Aki’s future and said “I’m going to need to crack open some popcorn for this”
Lupa's rhymes are absolute gold
The scene of Makima on the couch, surrounded by the gangsters is fucking hilarious.
Real ones know this reference
Can't wait to see Aki's future animated
He was about to die not much future left
🙂✌🏻
3:00 the line from future devil told to aki should be "your death will be the worst and terrible death"
Man it's never a dull moment watching you guys.😂
Imagine thinking "don't worry, we can defend ourselves with an army of zombies" when your opponent is a literal anthropomorphic chainsaw lol. That ain't really a great matchup for the zombies
This episode shows that Makima need to obtain the name, she doesn't just magically know them. Previously at Kyoto it was never shown how or when she obtain the name of the peoples she's going to crush, so we can assume that she already have the namelist beforehand. So she know
The way Lupa be making guesses, I'm starting to think he has a contract with the Future devil
Kishibe is a Sigma Male and Angel Devil is wholesome!
Yeah...CR subs messed up bad with what future devil is supposed to say. It's said in Japanese but they translated it to "Your death will fucking rule" instead of the accurate " You will die in the worst possible way"
Maybe that was on purpose,it said the same thing on Hulu too.
Roshi: looks at the camera menacingly
BGM: VIOLENCE!!!
3:39 Bro why 😂
In the Russian dubbing, they literally translated the scream of the Devil of the Future:"Future Rules" like: "Future Gun, Future Gun, Future Gun". And yes, my friends spoiled me.
the future Devil didn't ask anything from Aki because he wanted to see his death with his own eyes, that's why he asked to live in his eye, so he could be at the moment of his death to be able to see He dies, in the manga they explain that, the payment of the contract was that he could see Aki's death in person, in his view that has the same weight as half of someone's life if not more.
NAH, Mappa has the Animator Devil, poppin out with this animation even the background got it's own animation bruh.
Fun Fact: Shark's VA is the same one as Tanjiro and Vanitas.
Bro you guys are watching black lagoon?! I'm sold. That show underrated asf.
My god this episode had me sooo hyped!!!
Finally, a reactor that understands the Makima couch reference 😂😂😂
Subtle editing is hilarious especially on the makima scene
Crunchyroll has been missing with the subtitles for this series. They messed with the future devil's line and had him say Aki's death will rule instead of "You'll die the worst way possible.". It does work in the sense that it would rule for the devil as they like human suffering, but it doesn't give the same tension or feeling as the manga scene and slightly messes with some stuff down the line.
Watching anime and reading manga is always so exhilarating..

@@ukihakasmikaze8778 explain why I kissed your mother you have 4 days 2 hours and 23 seconds
This mans Aki's death is gonna be so bad the Future Devil deadass said 'I'm not taking anything from you, just let me watch'
7:00 Loved the Madison reference 😂. That damn blue knees song is still stuck in my head
Next week is the last episode of season 1 😢
I don’t want it to end 😭😭😭
Guys, the shark fiend is gonna be your favorite. He literally has a giant fan base.
ok, makima is seriously more sinister than she looks. I always thought something was off about her and I was right. She's like someone who seems to really want to be in control of everyone and everything around her from the way I see it.
I've never been so entertained watching reaction videos especially you guys 😂❤️ I'm actually waiting videos like this
MIRAI NO SAIKO!
5:54 I knew I couldn’t be the only one who noticed this 😂
1:41 LMFAO
That Sharknado comment 😂 Also, The Future Rules!
FINALLY THE SPOILER DEVIL HAS MADE HIS APPEARANCE 😂
5:55 bruh the edit in the background🤣🤣🤣
