Man, Pochita is the real homie. Was so tear-jerking hearing him say to Denji that he is giving his heart to him on the condition he wants to see his dream.
Roshi’s so far the only reactor I’ve seen who caught on to Makima “keeping” Denji essentially being him going from one owner to another, and he caught it frame 1! Also LMAO the red flag when Makima showed up! Editor’s on point.

I loved the first episode! All of the voice actors and actresses did an excellent job, but Denji's voice actor, Kikunosuke Toya, stole the show for me. He did an excellent job portraying Denji's character, and as a manga reader, his voice is exactly what I imagined him to sound like! And the maniacal laughter at the end was truly terrifying. Furthermore, this is his very first lead role! He did an outstanding job! 👏

I just realized that Denji's debt that his dad left him with which was around 700,000 compounded into 38 million yen over the course of time due to interest, fees etc.... He was literally never going to pay this off. Puts into perspective the reality of life he was living and yet he still managed it as well as he could given all those circumstances. I really connected with Denji and his backstory. Excited for the next episode!!!
