  • In this video I share why I believe Dodge dealers will be under enormous pressure to liquidate cars over the next few months due to the massive expense related to the build up of inventory of their Dodge Challengers, Chargers, TRX's, sxt, gt, hornets, etc.

      @@nicksmith2604The real thief here is the government charging a 'gas guzzler tax' in the $2000 range, plus forcing the companies to invest heavily in EV's which are the only things they can make that will meet the upcoming standards and of course all of that money has to come from somewhere....yes, you buying that new car or truck.
      What I've been arguing should have been done many years ago is for all the car companies to sit down with the government and lay out what is possible for them to make...and if the government wanted more than was physically possible then tell them we're shutting down all of our businesses. Lay everyone off and all of the taxes that get paid won't be coming in anymore. The government would not have been able to take that hit and for sure would have compromised....but now everyone is suffering the 'death of a thousand cuts' as the EPA continues to tighten the screws until no more vehicles can be made....which is their ultimate goal.

      The Super Bee isn’t a regular ScatPack. It’s a drag race inspired vehicle like the 1320. They are babies Demon. But the price is crazy for sure

      @@nicksmith2604 They have specials suspensions for drag race. When you take of on Track mode, all the weight go to the back like the Demon and the front go up to give you a better traction. They also come with drag radials. And the 1320 have the Trans Brake but they realized that the car perform better without the trans brake so they didn’t put it on the Super Bee 🐝. A Super Bee will beat a regular Scat Pack. They also come with srt features like srt hood, Exhaust tips…)

      I live in Northern Wisconsin and you can still buy a decent house here for under 200. Pre China Flu 150. But lake property is another story. (big bucks) As for Dodge, even the 170's on BaT are "down" to 160.

      I am totally ignorant of these cars...my last Chryco product was a new 2003 PT Cruiser...it was a great car actually. I don't have a need for a $100k gas guzzler with crap reliability...but that's just me.

      You’d think, right?? Amazingly, the service department keeps every dealer in business. Sales makes some profit to be sure, especially on specialty cars, but the majority of dealers money from parts and service. 🙂

      @@videditorEB1 Big markups there as well. Recently had to buy 2 ABS tone ring wheel hubs for a 2010 Charger. Dealer wanted $300 for each one. Luckily the auto parts store downtown was selling them for $100 each. Caveat emptor.

    Dealers like that should go belly-up! They are too stupid to get it. They screwed people over for the last 4 years and they THINK they will still get away with it! Look at that fool of a salesman - does he not see that he has so much over priced cr*p on his lot? I have ZERO sympathy for these dealers, esp. those fools who still have "mark-ups"!

    There is a complete disconnect between the advertisement you hear ( Lies), and the reallity of pricing once you actually step into a dealership to try to buy a car.

    When I was in high school a new Challenger R/T was $4,500 out the door...picked up my '05 Ram SRT-10 for $29K...totally insane on prices....sorry Dodge keep your inventory.

      In high school my used 70 Challenger 318 was $1400 in 78 then changed to a 340/727 trans, 8 3/4 3.91 sure grip. It ran 14.0s @102. But in 2006 I bought a 2005 SRT10 Ram still on the dealer lot for $36k. Today only 13k miles but it got parked in the sun bc I have a 12 SRT8 Charger😆 with a Procharger.

    I've been waiting years for Ram to come out with a compact or midsized truck 🐏 but I couldn't wait forever and bought a Nissan Frontier my first non-mopar ride. Stellantis is destroying CDJR.

    I love it. Monumental flooring costs for Dodge dealers for all the built-up inventory. Serves them right. I realize not all dealers have tried to gouge their customers, and I feel for them (just a little), as they are all suffering for the crap pulled by the other dealers, and by Dodge not standing up and helping their once-loyal fan base. Screw them. And like you suggested previously, I hope Stellantis will admit defeat and sell the division to someone who will care about the brand.

Those floor plan fees sound brutal for dealerships, and it's good to know we can use that to our advantage. Maybe I can finally snag a Hellcat at a decent price!     I went to dodge dealer in Temecula today dude and let me tell you , there was so many cars I did not find parking 🤣shit was insane also they didn’t even come to great me when I was looking around I got a 19 Scat too(had to park in a fire line that’s ridiculous)

    The purple hellcat seen in the early part of the video is listed on their website as a redeye. I’ve seen it in person, and it’s not a redeye. Either it’s a typo or their trying to get people to go down there and look at it 😅

    The phrase "floor plan" reminds me of a dealer I worked for in the 80's. I worked in the shop of a Chevy dealer that was owned by a guy that owned several dealerships. He was about a build a new building for a Toyota dealership. He presented the drawings to Toyota to show them what he was gonna build. Toyota didn't approve, he said he didn't care if they didn't like it, its his building and he's gonna have the building he wants. Toyota said they wouldn't Floor Plan his inventory if he didn't build a building that they approved of. He said he didn't care about them Floor Planning, he would pay cash for the cars. He paid cash for the cars. Also, his daughter drove a '62 Corvette, she didn't like the mpg she was getting. He came out to the shop and asked me to price up a job that would put a new 229 V6 in the vette. The parts girl and I wrote it up, he didn't go for it. I put a 390cfm carb and HEI on the stock engine, it got 21 mpg, it was good enough for the daughter.

    I wouldn't pay mark up on any vehicle. Eventually dealerships have to lower to MRSP or below or go under.
    Everything is supply and demand.

    Aaron dodge is in norco california. The last two companies at that location failed. That dealer has the worst reputation of all of them. They wont be there for long.

    Hometown motors has one Challenger in stock and two Chargers. Plenty of Grand Cherokees and Ram Pickups that are in demand. They are now stocking more basic Grand Cherokees.

    Just found a 14 Demon 170 stash in a garage of a SoCal dealer near you OC, in the OC! Can share the video with you if you’d like. Dealer seems to be willing to hold on to create a “shortage”. These must be from several dealers consolidating because I can’t see one dealer having all 14 allocations. And it wasn’t a Dodge garage. Smart to hold it under a different car brand if they own that dealership with nice storage space.

I buy a different vehicle every 2/3 yrs. , I enjoy listening to the salesperson pitch and then I give them an out-the-door figure I'm willing to pay , in cash , if they say no , I thank them for their time and leave , which Always results in a "manager" chasing me down before I drive away ...

    🤣🤣 That dealer you are at in this video, is adding $6,000 in add ons!!! Here is the list from their website fine print! "All pricing and advertised prices for any/all vehicles offered for sale does not include dealer installed accessories: Karr Security & Replacement $1,495, Simonize Paint & Fabric Protection $1,495, Reviver Digital License Plate $1,495 and Old Republic Windshield Replacement & Repair $1,495." - No wonder they have a lot full of damn vehicles! 😂😂🙃

    i own a 2022trx fully loaded was 101k same exact truck in 2024 125k same color too how do they justify a 24k price increase in 2 years? crazy

    I saw the blue Superbee on a lot in Canada new for 64k US dollars plus tax. So it was 87k Canadian.
    Up here those prices are even crazy. Like in the States though prices are all over the place but always cheaper than in USA. Special edition or not , folks have lost interest in discontinued vehicles. I saw a new Sublime Swinger Challenger for 60k US dollars.

    OC thanks for the vid, I was thinking about buying that green 392 shacker you show in the vid for the price they have on their website at $55445, but now that i see the addendum sticker at $84355 i wont be wasting my time with AARON cdjr . What a joke, why is the attorney general not all over this dealership in california, do they not have advertising laws in cali. Guess it could be worse - they could post a price online at 25k and add a 60k addendum sticker to the window. thanks for exposing their prices, it saved me a call or email

    🤣😂 that dealership is crazy all those cars on the lots everyone got a markup! It’s funny the crazy stories they make up in they heads to have customers believe that, $201K for a hellcat and then $93K for a narrow body Scatpack challenger yeah all those cars will be there next year too. They prolly got 2022 or 2021 on the lots too haha 🤣😂
    I should go there have them move the car in the back then when they do be like never mind 😂

    Great video man saw a dealer near me with the same 2023 for over 400 days. Thought people would overpay to get it in 2022 and it just sat. Guess they are hoping 0% financing comes back I just want to watch them suffer.

    Back in the 70s I ordered a New 76’ Oldsmobile Starfire GT $6,000 from the factory costing less than Mfg price. You could fly to the factory and drive it home saving destination charges. The dealer markup on these cars today is Crazy 😮 I used to sell Toyota Lexas back in 2005. We were selling 1,000 + cars a month at our Los Angeles dealership. We had access to 60+ banks to finance virtually anyone. 🤔 The buyer only cares how much a car costs a month 🤔

    I think all the car makers have lost their minds flat out!! None of these cars that they are building today is definitely not worth what they are asking price wise! I've got a Silverado that's had alot of issues before it left the showroom floor and it got worse once it got off the lot!! My older Ford has had zero problems as of yet and it's still got parts on it from 1988!! All these college hires and they can't build a proper car etc Drop the prices and they'll sell cars and trucks etc, by the way this is a great video👊😎

    In light of recent issues with Information being got and sold from the computers, not even counting issues i've heard from some potential lemons, I would not ever buy anything newer than my current ride, A 2006 dodge Magnum SXT. I almost rather stay in the era of the mid 00's than buy new.
    And yes i don't even have a Hemi, but these cars are solid for the age. I'm already considering finding the parts to convert my car to a hemi. I guarantee it'll be cheaper than buying new
