I don't like freezing fish either but here's what I do for long term (week or two week) storage. Wash them extremely well and then put them in a bowl of ice water and stick that in your fridge. Change the ice every day or two and they'll last a really long time.

Just found your channel. I'm 70 years young, and would love to be able to spend time in your state. Love your video. AND I'm so happy to see someone other than just myself cooking lentils.

Mhood....lentles are fantastic. To me they remind me of meat...they take on tbe flavor of whatever you are cooking....plus they are very good for you. My wife and I basically make a 15 been soup but add heavy amounts of lentils. We also make lentil cakes.....very simular to potatoe cakes made from left over mashed potatoes. We just sub tbe potatoes for left over lentils and they are fantastic.

I learned about the 4-Horsement popping corks fishing over in Calcasieu and brought them back to Galveston. Excellent popping cork and you can CHUNK those things out. Great vid. Praying for some rain for you and all those fishies.

I REALLY enjoy your videos Mark! They are real and remind of when I go salt water estuary or fresh water fishing. You voice overs are totally relevant and knowledgeable. I know nothing basically, but you do seem to have a really good tone to your voice and a humble sounding voiceover and make what you're doing sound SO interesting as well. Brilliant, very interesting, entertaining and informative stuff. I think it must be your enthusiasm, its simply infectious! Please keep up the good work, Subscriber Rob, UK.

I've never had ientils that I'm aware of, but that is looking mighty good damnit! I'm in Florida but have also lived in Louisiana and its very popular there because of all the food like gumbo, and their popular crawfish yadda yadda... But its popular here also, like you said its popular up and down the east coast. I'm not sure where you are, but initially it looked like areas here in Tampa. Great video. I wanted to comment more on all the funny stuff you said but this comment is long enough. Thanks for posting your content! I love it!

well, you know first of all, you have to understand that the only thing that says it’s a drought is man the Earth itself doesn’t feel it in a drought. It just goes through its natural cycles people forget it wasn’t but like 15 years or so ago we were dealing with the same thing in the Mississippi river it was low and the salt water was creeping in people just got a custom to three years in a row of the river being so high that they had to keep the locks open to drain all the freshwater in the lake Pontchartrain everyone complained that it was going to ruin the fishery but it didn’t ruin the fishery. It just changed it temporary Lee, but now the fishery has come back because the almighty and mother nature takes care of itself and there’s plenty of water that can move through the intercoastal canal because I can push up from the south end of the canal and then I can push it out of the canal over there on Lake Pontchartrain, the same way they change the fishing regulations for speckle trout. They change the regulations on a false narrative. The people who should be getting limited are the charter captains. The loopholes that exist in that industry are god awfully huge, a single boat can run two and three charters per day and bring in hundreds of fish per day depending on how many customers they have on their boat at one time where people like you and me go out and catch two or three and we’re happy and content another big issue is that people fishing any of the public marsh are supposed to use a South clearing, permit, and write down on that permit how many fish they’ve caught but no one does so wildlife and fishery tends to look at that like how many efforts to catch and how many fish were caught I determine a lot of stuff with that particular concept and it is extremely flawed with all that bull out the way congratulation on your catches
