Justin, I love the channel. I personally am not a fan of the carp and ultra light videos, but i love the 4ish hour trips. I also prefer the start of the video to be when you get on the water. I listen to the carp and ultra light videos in the background like a podcast, but my favorites are the catfish videos. Not telling you how to run things, you're successful enough, you shouldn't change anything. Again, thanks for all your content, keep the stories coming.

I dont fish for them, yet, but I'm not so sure them carp are as spooky as you think. I've seen plenty of carp in semi-clear water down here in the coves just happily doing their carp thing right next to my boat while I motoring by. They dont seem to give a crap about my boat or my running motor. I'm pretty sure your time till first catch has more to do with them getting drawn in by your chum.
PS, man I love fried green tomatoes. I fry um up when ever I can get a hold of some. Never made a sammich outta them though, that sounds really good, gonna have to try that.

Yay! I got to watch the whole vid with Will this morning! We ate breakfast with you. Well, I cooked breakfast so I missed a lil bit of the vid. I think the green Tommy toes is a great idea. You just never know what a fish will go for. I wonder if they’d like Spam? The fish slap was funny. Not bad luck. 😂 Will says (and you probably already know this) if you get lake water in your mouth, take a shot of tequila. That’s what they told them in the military if you think you’ve been contaminated - take a shot of tequila or vodka with a whole glass of water. I have to admit he and I have done that when we thought we had eaten something that wasn’t quite right. Didn’t have vomit or diarrhea. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You talking my comfort food when you say fried green maters. My bday is in June and that is the dish my mama used to cook me for my birthday supper. Puelo’s (not sure about the spelling) is out of business, but they had some of the best ever. Gus’s chicken has some good ones, on Lovell. A little pricey. I’m frugal tho. Thanks for taking us fishing and for the shout outs. You are our #1 kayak fisherman!! 😊 🎣

I got a question 🤔 you have repeated said the boat/kazoo whatever 🙄 it spooks the fish 🐟 they run away on their little fish legs and hide out till the coast is clear. Then, in the next episode, you are trolling, without planers boards, right behind the canoe or whatever 🙄 and catch em left and right with the motor running 😮so, what gives does the motor spook em only in the little creeks?

“Don’t abandon a productive bait to see if another bait might also be productive.” (Sorta an “anti-experimentation” mantra. What’s really all that wrong with trying new things even when the old thing still works? Perhaps the new thing will work better once you understand what it offers under its particular favored conditions. More of a “live and learn” mantra that encourages taking risks in order to experience some degree of progress overall. It’s like adding another tool to your tool box even when you’ve found using a hammer useful under hammer-favoring conditions. Not all conditions will favor a hammer. Ofttimes a screwdriver works better to insert a screw into wood even when a hammer might eventually force the screw into wood. Experimentation allows one to learn which option works best under which conditions for which purposes. Abraham Maslow is quoted to have said "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail." We might observe “When you’ve only got worms for bait, everything looks like it prefers worms.”)

Don't change lures or bait if you are catching fish on what you have. Just to change baits to see if you can catch more fish when you are already catching a bunch.

At 1:14 minutes into this video, I asked you to catch a mirror carp. Will it happen later in the video?
For myself, I thoroughly enjoy being with you (paradoxically) in the solitude of nature. I would not expect that to happen on main bodies of water unless you are there to welcome the sun's arrival and, even then, there's the greater possibility of being there in the company of boaters.

I think you did the right thing, by not filming the gentleman's accident. Like you said, it was clearly the fault of those who were renting out the kayaks. Especially for not making people wear life preservers. At most, I would think someone should have reported them to some authority. Sounded dangerous and unethical.
