    One of my old good friends used to walk backwards when he set the hook and was fighting a fish like you do, one day we were fishing on a dock and he thought he was walking backwards down it but he went at a angle and fell in the water lol. I've watched him back up and trip over rocks, fall in mud holes, hit his head on tree limbs and all kinds of stuff haha. He still does it though 20 years later

    Be safe, brother, plus try getting yourself big rod holders with alarms to put onto your rid tips. They have clips with bells. That way, if you step away, you'll hear bells ring when fish is on. Plus, hipwader boots. Try a santee rig you wont worry as much about getting snagged. 😊

    need some rod holders that are solid so you can keep your line tight so when the fish bite the circle hooks it hooks them better, either that or the bait is too big and the hook isnt in a good position when you lose those two that seemed to be running. but ya i dont like fishing slack for any fish really i would rather have my pole set up where even if a big fish hit it the rod isnt going in water so can keep the line tight.

    Dude ever owns a boat he'll learn why fishing from a boat ramp is usually not allowed. Especially the first time fishing line blows a seal in his lower unit

      I own a boat. I make sure not to have any rods casted on the ramp.

    I am watching from Elmira NY when I fosh catfish in the Chemung River i watch my tip instead of using a clicker

    • @EastTennesseeWhiskers
      @EastTennesseeWhiskers  7 месяцев назад +1

      I like to run a clicker where I fish. The fish are heavily pressured around here and if they feel a lot of tension on the bait they seem to drop it often.

      My camera that I film with does not have a wide-angle lens, so I have to stay further back to turn the camera on. I'm actually getting a new camera today so hopefully I can be closer to my rods.

    Diggin' the video man, but let's not be teaching bank fishermen to fish off the boat ramp. I bank fish, kayak, and boat and respect all. In Missouri, most ramps are posted "No swimming" "No fishing"... but keep up the good work, I will be watching!

    Can’t yank that hard they mostly set the hook on themselves just a lil firm tug and you should be fully hooked up
