    • @FishAholicTV
      @FishAholicTV  Год назад +1

      Yeah but they also just take the bait off the hook if you don’t wait long enough. They are a very challenging fish to hook and catch. Why are you fishing with a baitrunner in with the bail open? The whole advantage of a baitrunner is to be able to freeline a bait with the bail closed and simply turn the handle when you want to engage the drag. Baitrunners are not great reels. Their drags aren't the smoothest and they don't have the strongest drive train. If you're going to fish a spinner with the bail open, use a better spinning reel. Also, stop trying to set circle hooks. It doesn't work. This video could be used as exhibit A to make that case. Your hook up ratio would improve if you had less line out. You're in a kayak, you shouldn't need to get your bait too far from the boat to get a bite.
