    I got the G14 a few months ago, its small (14 inches) but not too small to game on. Its perfect and runs games just fine, i love the magnesium shell and matte screen because you cant see smudges. It does get a little warm but nothing too crazy and i never even realized that the fans blow onto the screen and i play for hours at a time. I would recommend this laptop to anyone, its great for portability and gaming.

    I'm assuming that a 14" panel is quite niche, especially one with high-quality color reproduction? And thus Asus didn't really have a choice with the respons time? Anyway, I think I'll go with the 2K version for graphical design and editing softwares. Gaming is secondary for me anyway, and for that, it's prolly just fine.

      Unless you're really gonna benefit from the CPU, go for better GPU. It makes more sense if you just like gaming. Intel's 6 cores CPU are still pretty good, it's just that AMD is that much better, making Intel look bad and rightfully so but that doesn't mean it's not a powerful performer. Most games run fine on 4 cores CPU, 6 cores is even better especially for streaming which isn't something everyone does and 8 cores is amazing. Only times you'll notice the difference is probably the slightly worst battery life and when you're processing heavy multi-core applications which I think the majority of people wouldn't even care to notice.

      do you really need to play games around more than 70 fps at highest settings? the best deal is g14 due to the strong cpu and good enough card for gaming overall you just can't do like overkill but why would you care anyways so much unless you have a external 4k monitor imo why would you pay a tad bit more for negligible fps increase? over 60 on overkill settings is perfectly fine to me. Also with that cpu you get to game, emulate games, do other stuff much better then just solely gaming with cool temps

      @@jayakrishnanr4425 As far as the exterior build quality goes I find it rather sturdy, the hinges are rather durable and easy to open, I haven't dropped it yet but it feels like it would be able to handle the odd drop here and there.
      I find the buttons extremely smooth and easy to type on, the travel time between the keys isn't as noticeable as I was expecting, the font that they decided to use on the keys look very slick and gamer like, while not being too in your face.
      The backlit keyboard is not super bright, I don't find it hurts your eyes like other keyboards during long sessions.
      As far as the finger prints go, I don't find it that bad on the inside of the laptop but the outsides does leaves fingerprints SUPER easily but it's east enough to wipe off.
      I really suggest this laptop if your looking for a budget laptop that can game and fulfill everyday things like if your a student or have a job.

    • @aronuidam5400

      You probably won't notice the response time. I only found out a week ago that my laptop also has a 35ms response time (144 hz), which I had never noticed and I play valorant, cod mw and used to play fortnite. I also have a 144 hz monitor with 4-5 ms response time and I can barely tell the difference. Only a very competitive player might be able to tell a difference, thus I wouldn't worry about it at all. Also, you can clearly see all enemies, they will just be a bit less sharp when you are turning fast.

    I'm not sure this review gives the complete picture based on another review I saw and what I have read on Reddit and the issues the G14 is currently having with Turbo Boost, something that Asus will hopefully fix with an update. You barely loose much FPS on performance with much lower temps, especially with a cooling pad. It would have been a more complete picture to see another mode, like performance across the 3 systems, not just Turbo Boost. Also, there have been more than enough videos about the horrendous temps of the G15 due to the pads that block the vents and general poor thermal design. I think from what I've seen elsewhere, the G14's thermals across all modes is much better than the conclusion on Turbo Boost the video is eluding too.

    • @ubrcom
      @ubrcom  4 года назад +1

      Fair point and thanks for the feedback. The G14 runs somewhat cooler on Performance, but I don't think it would have been fair to compare it to the Turbo mode on the M15, which is usable on that mode and offers improved performance. That's why I recommend looking at more than one video when researching your purchase, and we do get more indepth in the dedicated reviews, both here and especially in the article on the site.

      Difference is 5 -6 FPS, so not noticeable. But the max q is better because it spends less power which means more battery life and less overheating. G14 is better because it’s portable and has the strongest CPU. The 5-6 less FPS shouldn’t be a deal breaker, you won’t even notice that.

As well as the premium built quality, superb typing experience and finger print sensor in g14. Speaking about confusion I don’t mean anything wrong about this channel. Same with me, iam in confused to choose between that two machine for my college. Meanwhile iam need for game triple A on compact laptop or looking for best typing experience, but really think again, it depending your need actually. If you a content creator which one need a powerfull CPU, get a G14 (coz G14 be a jack all trade for multicore and best for rendering). If you dont really care about CPU, pick M15, Its doesnt have good GPU, but it can run a many games. If i were you, i will pick M15 for my laptop soon. Why dont pick G14?
      1. The size is very small for a gaming laptop
      2. Ryzen 9 with RTX 2060, it will be hotter than M15 (coz M15 use Max-Q version)
