    Higher DPI does not lower the Input lag. The test done in Battle(non)sense channel was using the same sensi in game, so the high DPI moves faster, so the initial input is faster. If you use 400 dpi + 2.0 sensi vs 800 dpi + 1.0 sensi, the result will be the same, but if you use 400 dpi + 2.0 sensi vs 800 dpi + 2.0 sensi, the second case will have faster input lag.

      higher dpi does not lower the input lag but it increases accuracy. the mouse is scanning more dots per inch so every little move will be registered

    • @rice1475
      @rice1475 Год назад +5

      In your second example all you're doing is increasing your sensitivity by 2x. Increasing dpi and lowering ingame sens is always better because it improves the resolution.
      E.g 3200 dpi 2 sens will inherently be better than 400 dpi / 16 sens eventhough they are the same eDPI.

      While it doesnt directly alter the devices polling or report rate, it DOES cause a cut down of input delay at the motherboard level between device to application level. That is a very skewed subject to make a claim on as there is hard evidence to support it. The benefits only go up noticeable to about 1800-3200 DPI depending on the USB port type, motherboard lanes, chipset, and applications high DPI override settings. There is a thought process for everything in the chipset as well as the CPU and that has to be calculated for it to effect how each frame is rendered with respect to your aim. Simply put, you are not changing the DEVICES input delay, you are making it easier for your motherboard and components to have more information readily available. It is the same effect as adding more frames to a game and perceiving a faster response when in actuality you are still moving a cursor between the same two points at the same speed, but with a better accuracy reading. That being said I just stopped using high DPI for this benefit as I play rainbow six and DPI doesnt just work for cursor movement, but for recoil behavior as well and even the slightest micro adjustment being over reported on can actually screw you up in that game with respect to horizontal recoil being generated out of nowhere from not drawing a perfect line down. It is a pick and choose battle. bottom line 800>400 on a base level and is easily calculated. take what you can get

      @@dario4496the fact that you got used to one heavy mouse doesn't mean heavy mouses are better or don't matter, saying 'muscles will adapt' sounds like dragon ball logic, doesn't matter how many muscles you have, lighter the mouse, the easier, faster and smoother you can move your hand.
      that's like saying well why didn't swordsmen use 50kilo swords and just adapted to the weight? doesn't matter how strong you are, the lighter the sword, the swifter your movements would be, especially holds true in hyper precision tasks such as aiming, and it's no coincidence all the top aimers in the world currently use ultralight mouses 70g or below
      this doesn't mean it's THE most important factor, obviously shape and sensors may matter more, however, lightweight does help
