@@movementbuff Glad to be helpful! There's not real answer. "To be safe": yes, disable it for everything. But I personally never had issues with it! It's not really about the general latency, it's more about stability and smoothness. When I'm playing and then adjust the volume and gsync gets inactive, the volume-overlay appears, then dissapears and gsync gets activated again, I get some stuttering. It's not the smoothest transition to disengage and engage gsync while having motion on the monitor. Depending on your vsync settings and how a game handles to be swapped into "borderless windowed mode" on the fly, you can have some stuttering or even game crashes! To check your latency while this is happeneing (if the transition is smooth and your game doesn't crash): Put the game into borderless mode and check if you can feel some increased latency or not. WOW... What a huge difference! Ok, so I made the jump from console to PC a couple months ago. Now, I just started on mouse. Turns out deselecting "Enhance pointer precision", made a big difference - I can see just as clear now as I did with controller! Thanks!!
Enhance pointer precision has absolutely nothing to do with how smooth your game looks... it's mouse acceleration. You can get the EXACT same effect by moving your mouse at the same speed the acceleration was. This us what you call placebo lol jeeesus. If you are new to computers, don't start changing/installing random shit that a not reputable stranger recommends online. Or just don't install ANYTHING that you aren't 100% aware is safe, and you know how to reverse.
1 thing you missed : Control panel / Ease of Acces / Ease of Acces Center / Make the mouse easier to use / Set up mouse keys -> set mouse acceleration to low ( fully disables acceleration in windows )
I used these settings and changes to completely remove mouse acceleration: 1. Follow the steps from 1:05 - 1:56, but leave "Enhance pointer precision" checked 2. Follow the steps from 1:57 - 3:44 3. Do these things first: Restore your mouse settings to default (change the lightning and DPI settings as you please), then disable the "Improve pointer precision" inside the software of your mouse, then change the polling rate to 1000hz (3:45 - 6:23) 4. Follow the steps from 6:24 - 9:04 5. Follow the steps from 9:05 - 15:03 After all these changes, restart your PC, then extract the "MouseMovementRecorder" ZIP file from the MarkC folder to your desktop/desired location. Inside this folder, run the "MouseMovementRecorder" application as administrator and move the mouse inside this program. You should not see green and red boxes in the Pointer Movement section. Do not play with the settings inside this program, as you need to restart your PC for the settings to retake effect. Strangely enough, I got rid of any mouse acceleration present on the laptop and in any game just by doing these steps.
When it comes to audio, having good hardware is paramount, "tweaks" are mainly for not distorting the noises ingame. Best thing to do, especially if you're gaming, is putting money into a good headset. Wireless headsets come with integrated soundcards by default afaik. So just buy good wireless headset. Another option is to buy headset without integrated soundcard, but you need to make sure your mainboard has good soundcard. Otherwise, you can get good soundcards for less than 40 bucks. If you have troubles with orientation when it comes to 3D sound ingame, try dolby access or something similar. They enhance 3D audio. For some of them you need to pay though initially.

Some of the things he mentioned are actually miss leading, yet some are correct. In general, make sure acceleration is off and dpi and pull is set correctly. Latency is a different story but if your system can help do ultra low latency (on+boost) then go for it. You can also set it in global nvidia control panel settings so it will be ultra in every single mingle game that supports it. (Note its not about the mouse this typically eliminate pre tendered frames)
i know the video is 2 years old but truth to be told, I was always fighting my mouse when i play FPS after i use this it works smooth and precise thank you again for another amazing fix
Dpi is just dot amount your mouse is reading, higher dpi means less latency, never play 400dpi or less, i personally use 16k dpi and low sensitivy In game
@@MegaHaiQ close, but no cigar. Dpi IS sensitivity. You are right that higher dpi has less input lag, but that's simply an accidental byproduct of the higher dpi. That's not specifically what higher dpi is for, otherwise mice companies would be advertising that the higher dpi causes lower input lag. They literally describe it as speed lol
Am I the only person to have followed all of these steps by step & ended up having a WORSE mouse response when it comes to flicking? & a lower FPS ! ???
I followed every single steps, but then i got some random flicks in my game, and i tried changing polling rate and stuffs and trying to change the mouse settings and had to enable the acceleration and scale down the pointer speed, but still i got lots of more benefits even tho i got this problem, the benefits that i got is - my ram is faster now -caches cleared - lower ping
I had a problem where when I would lift my mouse the cursor would keep shaking. I fixed it by getting a toothbrush head and putting it under water for a couple seconds then scrubbing the bottom of the mouse. Like the circle bit lol. Then I got my compressed air spray bottle then sprayed the circle. So basically, just cleaning it out LOL. If anyone's having the same problem as me, here's your fix!
I followed every instruction in this video, and now New Vegas plays at 144hz even though I have it locked to 60 in the NVIDIA Control Panel (Bethesda physics get wonky above 60hz apparently). Which setting was it that makes it ignore the fps cap?
when you were counting the ticks for pointer speed you confused me. You counted 6 including the starting notch which you called the 1st notch, I was expecting the counting to correlate with the number of jumps away from the 1st. Just a weird communication thing, you didn't make a number mistake, you just didn't start at 0 like a programmer.
8:08 in your other guide "How to Optimize Windows 10 For GAMING & Performance in 2019 The Ultimate Updated GUIDE" you set this value (SystemResponsiveness) to "0". In this guide you set it to "1". Why? What's the difference between the two?
Here SystemResponsiveness means how many % are not used (saved) for low-priority/background tasks. It's 20% by Default. The values which can't be divided by 10 are rounded up to the nearest multiple of 10. A value of 0 is treated as 10, 1 is also 10 etc.
Glad you corrected your previous tutorial! Small sticking point is that you keep saying with inside, which isn't right, and is a bit jarring every time you say it.
What about going to control panel-ease of access-ease of access centre-make the mouse easier to use-set up mouse keys- and then turn acceleration all the way to slow?
PLZ can you make a optimization video for apex legens season 7 on STEAM! cause they arent many out there so people will come to ur vid and we can get fps so win win for all!!
Hi Panjno, thank you for the optimization tips ! I saw in your Valorant settings that you have Multithreading option turned on. I saw that this SMT option in Bios may increase latency in games, do you have any info about that ? (if someone else knows feel free to enlighten me) Thanks !
1) Disabling Enhance Pointer Precision and Making it 6/11 is pretty much useless in games that have raw input, aka 99% of modern shooters. It only affects the desktop and I like my mouse fast on the desktop on 400DPI so I use 8/11 2) Mark C mouse fix only affects old games which force Enhance Pointer Precision on so it changes the acceleration mode to linear, basically useless in 99.99 of games.
since i've done this i feel like i can't aim , can't stay consistent , can't use my muscle memory , i feel like i have weird accelration in the pc , i've switched few mices and few mouse pad but still the same feeling, everywhere i want to aim too its pass the spot no matter how much i change my mice settings (dpi or ingame sens and lower it ) thanks panjno for ruin my life ! *** I AM DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE IN HERE TO FOLLOW THIS VIDEO***
followed every step and I think I'm noticing an improvement, less fps drops and no more mouse stutters, I hope that its not just better in firing range on apex... I had vsync off but my Radeon software had an additional setting within the apex settings for vsync which was turned on so i put it off and the wingman flicks were just perfect.

bro it worked like magic..You are the only one who has the REAL solution. Guys, trust this tutorial, you'll be more than amazed
quality content as always thanks for putting in the time and effort for us
i know the video is 2 years old but truth to be told, I was always fighting my mouse when i play FPS after i use this it works smooth and precise thank you again for another amazing fix
Love your guides, thanks for taking the time to show us how to have a fast running computer for gaming!
Thanks bro!!!
Before the video; 13 kills avg
After the video; 19 kills avg in cs go
Actually game mode in Windows can cause issues with frame drops and stutters
in some device it might help
This is one of the best videos i've ever seen, your explanations are so clean and easy to follow. Amazing content.
What is the difference between dpi settings in the mouse software and the pointer speed setting in windows 10? Does one override the other?
Dpi is just dot amount your mouse is reading, higher dpi means less latency, never play 400dpi or less, i personally use 16k dpi and low sensitivy In game
@@MegaHaiQ close, but no cigar. Dpi IS sensitivity. You are right that higher dpi has less input lag, but that's simply an accidental byproduct of the higher dpi. That's not specifically what higher dpi is for, otherwise mice companies would be advertising that the higher dpi causes lower input lag. They literally describe it as speed lol
the gpu optimizations are amazing, my pc is super snappy now using youtube, no more LOADING micro transition.
thanks Panjno, u are an angel.
Do you recommend enabling "Start ISLC minimized and auto-start monitoring" and "Launch ISLC on user startup"?
Yes! it's useful
Honestly it's best just to create an automated task in task scheduler, no need for ISLC to run all the time.
Am I the only person to have followed all of these steps by step & ended up having a WORSE mouse response when it comes to flicking? & a lower FPS ! ???
I followed every single steps, but then i got some random flicks in my game, and i tried changing polling rate and stuffs and trying to change the mouse settings and had to enable the acceleration and scale down the pointer speed, but still i got lots of more benefits even tho i got this problem, the benefits that i got is
- my ram is faster now
-caches cleared
- lower ping
I had a problem where when I would lift my mouse the cursor would keep shaking. I fixed it by getting a toothbrush head and putting it under water for a couple seconds then scrubbing the bottom of the mouse. Like the circle bit lol. Then I got my compressed air spray bottle then sprayed the circle. So basically, just cleaning it out LOL. If anyone's having the same problem as me, here's your fix!
I'm very skeptical of this types of videos.
Panjno is literally one of the best of these types of RUclipsrs.

Come on man, who would not sub and like your videos, spot-on right to the point
I followed every instruction in this video, and now New Vegas plays at 144hz even though I have it locked to 60 in the NVIDIA Control Panel (Bethesda physics get wonky above 60hz apparently). Which setting was it that makes it ignore the fps cap?
Can someone explain why 6/11 on mouse speed is better? Out of curiosity
First comment on this banger Vid thx for telling us❤️❤️❤️
"Not the hero we wanted, but the hero we needed."
Me using a $5 used mouse from craigslist 👁👄👁

Noice 😳
Same
@@dingdongbubble2221 same here
panjno always clutch when i cant finds any other videos im confident he will come in for the save
Needed thiss man thanks
My game is alotttttttttttttttttttttttttt responsive thanks alottttttttttttttttttttttt
when you were counting the ticks for pointer speed you confused me. You counted 6 including the starting notch which you called the 1st notch, I was expecting the counting to correlate with the number of jumps away from the 1st. Just a weird communication thing, you didn't make a number mistake, you just didn't start at 0 like a programmer.
It wasn't a mistake, because this isn't programming. The first tick IS speed "1".
ty broo. i was really in need for this
8:08 in your other guide "How to Optimize Windows 10 For GAMING & Performance in 2019 The Ultimate Updated GUIDE" you set this value (SystemResponsiveness) to "0". In this guide you set it to "1". Why? What's the difference between the two?
clearly doesn't know has he's not responded
Here SystemResponsiveness means how many % are not used (saved) for low-priority/background tasks. It's 20% by Default. The values which can't be divided by 10 are rounded up to the nearest multiple of 10. A value of 0 is treated as 10, 1 is also 10 etc.
Glad you corrected your previous tutorial! Small sticking point is that you keep saying with inside, which isn't right, and is a bit jarring every time you say it.
Panjno u almost sound like Mumbo Jumbo xd
Yes he actually does xD, mumbo's voice is a little bit deeper
What about going to control panel-ease of access-ease of access centre-make the mouse easier to use-set up mouse keys- and then turn acceleration all the way to slow?
PLZ can you make a optimization video for apex legens season 7 on STEAM! cause they arent many out there so people will come to ur vid and we can get fps so win win for all!!
Wow, my razer firefly v2 has never felt slicker. Thank you mate.
Thanks bruda ❣️
n0 bye
Who is bruda
Cringe
Yep I'm subbing I have found ur channel so many times it's honestly the best thing to do
Hi Panjno, thank you for the optimization tips ! I saw in your Valorant settings that you have Multithreading option turned on. I saw that this SMT option in Bios may increase latency in games, do you have any info about that ? (if someone else knows feel free to enlighten me) Thanks !
If u have smt...enable it
SMT gives more performance on the games that support it. There is no need to disable it
1) Disabling Enhance Pointer Precision and Making it 6/11 is pretty much useless in games that have raw input, aka 99% of modern shooters. It only affects the desktop and I like my mouse fast on the desktop on 400DPI so I use 8/11
2) Mark C mouse fix only affects old games which force Enhance Pointer Precision on so it changes the acceleration mode to linear, basically useless in 99.99 of games.
Is the mouse fix thing permanent?
Please I need to know
If you create a Restore point/Registry backup is not, and if something feels wrong you can simply restore the system.
I had to sub your channel because you deserve it. thank you very much and i will be sharing this with some friends.
I don't ever need to double check my optimizations, cause they were given by Panj.
since i've done this i feel like i can't aim , can't stay consistent , can't use my muscle memory , i feel like i have weird accelration in the pc , i've switched few mices and few mouse pad but still the same feeling, everywhere i want to aim too its pass the spot no matter how much i change my mice settings (dpi or ingame sens and lower it ) thanks panjno for ruin my life ! *** I AM DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE IN HERE TO FOLLOW THIS VIDEO***
This has actually made my input lag worse. 2 years of this shit, I thought this was the one that would help. fml
pleb gear is your problem
@@KillDozer44 which part of my "pleb gear" is the problem?
Great video as always! ISLC alone made me realize my windows was out of control with using ram and frees up so much of it TY!
followed every step and I think I'm noticing an improvement, less fps drops and no more mouse stutters, I hope that its not just better in firing range on apex... Olympus fps drops to like 40 on my system sometimes. in firing range I feel like I've only just experienced true 144 fps/hz. I had vsync off but my Radeon software had an additional setting within the apex settings for vsync which was turned on so i put it off and the wingman flicks were just perfect.
Why did you even buy a 144hz monitor if you literally can't even utilize it??
Thanks. I will give your mouse optimisation's a try. I definitely want to prioritise gaming.
I just want to say how incredible your work is. As an educator myself, albeit in Physical Education, I find myself eager to learn more from you. Your delivery is impeccable and second to none. Please keep producing content I'm extremely keen to learn more from you. More PC optimisation videos would be greatly appreciated. An in-depth updated Escape from Tarkov performance video would also be very gratefully received! @panjno

You have just saved me getting rid of my Tyon. Love that mouse but since season 3 warzone it just wasn't behaving. Wasn't tracking as it was (blaming the out of date software). Absolute perfect now. Cheers.
This actually really helped me on my 350$ pc 😭😭😭 it’s so sad having a toaster to play games on lol
Same man my 700e pc is falling behind
Wow i was just looking to optimize my settings, looked at your channel and saw it was a 3y old video..
Then saw that u uploaded one 1h ago. What a timing haha, love your videos!
Pls keyboard optimization
All your vidéos are awesome ! A french fan ! ;)
hey i know im just a viewer but it would be amazing if you can make a video on how to fix a glitch on rainbow six siege because for some reason i am putting all my graphics settings to the highest possible and an example would be that when i put down my bandit charge on the wall from close or far it looks very bad and pixelated so my discord is Mordecai#2663 if you want me to show you the problem thanks for all the guides and i hope you read this
Always waited for this video, thanks man!!
Throw back to the days when we could just disable point precision and be done with it...
My mouse works smoothly now. Keep it up.
Can someone give an award to this man
Nice 😎 my mouse feels much better!! Thanks for taking the time to make this video ✌️
Love it, Panjno! It worked perfectly, thanks!!
thanks for the infor man, been using it for 2 years in 4 devices
like dear god, overcomplicating stuff is an art aswell. Guys you really dont need this
thanks again for making vids to help us get more out of our pcs, games, or mice. appreciated.
You are a king You helped me alot TY
You're the best help for gamers bro!!! We love you!!
Clean your mouse every day.... Helps a lot
i did this with markc reg on windows 11 although it is not suitable for this how do i delete markc from reg to normal settings now?
Look it up💀
Hey, I’ve seen a couple videos of people changing “mouclass” folder on regedit to reduce latency, I’ve done most of your optimization tips, and they all work fine, but I wonder if you could make a video of this “setting” to reduce latency, where you change MouseDataQueueSize to decimal 16, and wonder if it really works or not, thank you for all your videos, love the content.
please make a new video of how to increase the FPS in the new iron sight in the new version that came out by fa you are a great RUclipsr
I love you! You are doing a great job and it is very easy to understand you.
Excellent video pajno.i want more videos like this
