Now I'm naturally doing 180s at head level throughout with just 1 degree difference. I studied 0 and 1 multiple times thinking maybe it was in my head... NOPE. Thank you, man! When I was a younger semi pro player I used a death adder and up until this point no one mentioned this to me!!! I had a hybrid grip and would change grips based on situation, I remember I used to hold the mouse slightly sideways and for some reason my muscle memory told me that it FELT like the sensor of the mouse was right underneath my mouse 1 finger. It felt completely in line. I haven't been able to feel that with any other mouse since. Maybe this will give me a bit of a nostalgia since I'm older and succ now. Pretty crazy. I should have made RUclips videos about it back then! Thanks man!

    One thing to note about this (may be mentioned later in the video) is that sometimes it's on purpose that you end up pivoting your wrist to left and right horizontally if you're used to aiming like that and don't wish to move your entire arm in that motion.

    What is so wild about this is that fact that I used to aim my best YEARS ago when I used a Steelseries Rival, and going to NEW mice afterwards, never felt the same and I would use a new mouse with a natural 5-10 degree offset until I got used to it after a little bit of time.
    I just saw this video and it proved my initial thoughts, I went to use the Rival again (old school 1st gen 3310 sensor one lol) and instantly I'm starting to draw straight lines without any effort, and then using my newer Viper Mini SE, instantly went to skewed lines. I always figured it was the forward sensor position, but now I can tune for it which is awesome! Thanks!

    • @marcabelTV

      Hello,
      Crazy?! My aiming backstory is EXACTLY the same as yours.
      When i began taking competitive cs:go more serious i bought this rival and i had it for years untill i worn down the rubber grips on each sides and decided to change mouse, aaand it have never felt the same ever since no matter how many new mouses i tried..
      untill now!!!
      I figured that the Way the Old rival was laying in my hand, litterly forced straight Lines because of the “ergo” kinda grip u get with the mouse which u dont with any other mouse on the damn market..
      I figured then,
      okay what if i could get the same exactly kind of grip on another mouse by modding it for my own liking?
      I bought the Razer viper mini se after my new thought,
      Yeah Stock it felt Way to small, not ergo what so ever and in general felt really wierd in my hand(could imagine being great for ppl with clawgrip tho)
      So what i did was i modded the sides of the mini se so it forced my hand into this ergo kind of grip, even tho the mini se isnt a ergo mouse(imagine I ended up with a kinda hybrid grip between claw and Palm) basically having ergo grip on a non ergo mouse..
      How i did it was double side taping foam on each sides for thumb and littlefinger, cut the foam to fit my hand perfectly and then covered it with griptape for feel and aestetics
      ..
      And boom! My aim havent felt this snappy ever,
      I did stumble across this yt vid to try out and see if I could optimize my aim even more,
      and standard rotation was what worked best for me.
      Cant wait to mod feature competitive mouses the same Way like this in the future!
      Cheers!

      Same with my G303 SE. This is something I've thought about in the past and noticed more with ergonomic mice rather than ambidextrous mice - at least for myself. Fully depends on your grip and how the sensor is aligned in the mouse to start with of course. I don't really switch off the G303 anymore but I remember my Zowie EC2's and, my G403, and even my old Steelseries Rival 300 all gave me this same angle when I would switch to them from an ambi mouse. With the G303 my lines are obnoxiously straight but I guarantee on those other mice they'd look just like this dudes.

  • @majkooll

    This is mostly for people who aim with wrist and it lay on the pad but if someone like me just sliding wrist and pushing mouse to the pad it will not work because with that technique I’m doing straight lines anyway the worst part is why turning it’s not always straight which needs more time to accustom and learn.
    Anyway really helpful for people with total wrist technique.

    This is awesome though, thanks for sharing. I've always noticed I don't make a perfect straight line in a lot of situations and it messed up my headshots when things got hectic. I'd naturally rotate just a bit diagonally and end up hitting just below heads if I wasn't fully warmed up.

    the one concern i currently have which is keeping me from switching to a new curve, is that it will affect how the cursor moves when i actually move my mouse completely horizontal to the bottom of my mouse pad, since with a new curve this would now be a skew line instead of a straight one.

  • @kam1dashi453
    @kam1dashi453 10 месяцев назад

    Human hand already adapted to using mouse with this angle issue so now if somebody rotate his sensor on -15 or +15 whatever degrees - you'll feel uncomfortable and your hand literally have to learn horizontal moves from scratch.

    Everything depends on how you usually hold a mouse. If i am changnig grip from claw to palmgrip the rotation is different. What is shocking to me paint isn't the best program for me to set up rotation. I have straight lines on -2.25 in Paint, but in game (Valorant) on practice map my lines aren't so straight. I use 0.4 now and im so close to be consistent now.

    • @StruthGaming
      @StruthGaming  Год назад

      Yeah holding the mouse the same way you'd aim in-game is very important. Valorant is a great example that I also recently found. Simply moving around the map makes your skew very obvious.

      I think it also depends on your mouse sensitivity. This tip is good for wrist aiming, but if you use your whole arm to aim, then your mouse naturally curves down+left as you rotate your arm. In order to move the mouse perfectly horizontally, you would have to bend your wrist to the right as your arm moves to the left, which is unnatural and also bad ergonomics! So if your mouse space is large enough to do full arm swings, I wouldn't use this trick

  • @FatheredPuma81
    @FatheredPuma81 10 месяцев назад

    The only thing I've truly noticed is how wildly inconsistent my aim is when I try not to compensate. I naturally aim upwards constantly with both wrist and arm movement. Thought it was my mouse so I ground it against my keyboard a little and it wasn't.

  • @BlackVirtue
    @BlackVirtue 10 месяцев назад +1

    It looked good in paint, but as soon as I loaded CS2 warmup it was useless and worse than before :D
    A much better and simpler advice would be - try putting your arm perpendicular to the bottom line of your mouse pad so your arm/hand movements have more consistency. Otherwise your aim might be fluctuating just due to the different arm positions you take when you're sitting down to play.

    • @HappyBeezerStudios
      @HappyBeezerStudios 4 месяца назад

    Good video. I say this since the 90s. I know turning the wrist slightly to the right , gives perfect aim.
    But i got too lazy doing it. It can get pretty exhausting. If this fix does not interfere other mouse movements it's a great thing.
    Alternatively the mouse developers could turn the sensor slightly to the right, viewed from above. At least 2 or 3 degrees, or make it even adjustable with a screw.
    Man, now that i was happy that i can leave my 3rd party software off, to increase my y axis, bec Superlight 2 has that now in ghub, you come with this here.

    Very excited to give this a shot with my new Aussie nubs that came in. Curious why you bother iterating every single angle value when theres a clear mean range one could skip to? I guessed -8 for your skew after you did your -15 vs 0 test, one could start at the middle guess, and then test +/-1 increments. Especially if you want to get gritty with angle minutes, i imagine this would be a quick method.

    I would say try other shapes too, for me my linear line was kinda straight even if I'm tiling my mouse about 15 degrees to the right, but when doing squares and stuff I could see the 15 degree difference as my brain has only learnt to adjust for the most common lines, but not stuff like squares and stuff. So it seems I should adjust the aim to go more left to compensate.
    Also since I'm holding the right at a 15 degrees to the right, the math says that I should just adjust it -15 degrees to compensate, it might be that simple or it might not be, I will update what happens, for now I will just try small decrease of -2 and go from there.

    I actually wonder why mouse makers don't put the sensor right under the left click button. Maybe there isn't enough room. But, it should be the ideal position, because your then naturally clicking exactly where your finger is, not where the center of the mouse is in relation to your index finger.

    I used this for around 6 months and then I’ve now not used it for another 4 or so. Brief adjustment periods on both switches but the reason I switched back to non angled is vertical aiming. I play some games that require looking up against other players and however much you skew is however much it will skew vertically so you’ll never be able to move your cursor straight up. Your brain compensates just like it does horizontally without skewing the sensor it’s just more odd for me personally

    I am on my Abyssus V2 for the past 6 years and I honestly love it, it always felt just right in my hands
    I play a lot of osu and I usually use a loose claw grip where I kinda aim a lot with my fingers and mostly wrist supporting only with thumb and pinky (the ring finger is weirdly sitting on the edge of RMB), since the mouse is quite small and my hands are decently big
    And I never thought about this, but after testing it for a couple of times in paint I am now trying out a small correction of +2 degrees, and after a couple maps in osu honestly my aim immediately feels snappier, even though I do make some random misses, I will try sticking to it for a while testing
